The manga is the pinnacle of vulgar & surreal anti-humor, and the anime is exactly more of the same.

The imagery is humorous, usually in a similar scene the villain would be holding a macguffin of some sort, and fidget spinner looks like it could be one without the context of knowing it's a toy for literal autists

napolean dynamite is not SURREAL in any sense of the word. the entire movie was about as grounded as you could expect from a shoestring budget about highschool nerds. literally nothing in the movie was surreal.

absurdism and surrealism are two completely different things. this anime is absurdism but it's also MOSTLY just poking fun at other works the creators are PROBABLY fans of.

It has some moments, but the only time i laugh was with the reference of Skyrim. This anime is a big meme that lives with smallers memes, like those YT videos "if you laugh you loose".

It is a very stupid humor, but not as intelligent as the classical absurd humor. It just does not connect with me, it was boring despite some ideas (such as the 2 first minutes)
