It is completely alien to everything about his understanding, to where it is fundamentally not physically or magically possible for him to replicate it. The result of this will be that as Ea is a construct that can only be possessed and used by Gilgamesh, David has broken the rule of its existence. The path of least resistance would be that David now possesses Ea, but is incapable of using it, because Ea's concept is that it belongs to Gilgamesh and is used by Gilgamesh. David might now "possess" it, but he cannot "use" it.
