CCS and I can't even explain why. There's something magical about it that I couldn't find in any other title.

season 1 was super comfy and stopped at a great point.

i like to pretend season 2 didn't happen because of the completely awful and out of the blue resolution of the central triangle, and i didn't read the manga until afterward. at least the finale was good.

I feel like I'm in a minority but I thought HxH2011 was one of the most boring shows I've ever watched. I kept watching because a good friend kept assuring me it would get good, and I feel like it never did.

Shigurui was fantastically directed but it was garbage when it came to a coherent narrative. Seems like they replaced it with shock factor.

I think i have read more manga than watched anime, so my solids 9/10 are Oyaji and Pluto.
I would say EVA too, but i'm too much biased into it i don't think it's a true 9/10, but it certainly is my favorite.

The narrative was perfectly coherent to me, at least all of the parts that mattered. The constant use of flashbacks and time jumps just makes the story unnecessarily complicated. It's a simple revenge story about the fall of a dojo, I don't think there needs to be much more to it.

However, there are some parts that genuinely feel like they're just there for shock factor. Like the nipple eating. I don't mind the gore or the brutality, but that really felt out of place. That's why it's not a 10/10.

It has style out the fucking ass and the slow pacing is perfectly contrasted by the visceral kick to the gut that is the story. The last thing I could ever find the show is boring.
