What did people not like?
Bahamut virgin soul
It made no sense
probably not enough girls
i fixed it
Oh boy here we go
While most people will strongly disagree with you about the passable plot, I'll let it slide in the face of the most important reason which is that it shit all over all the characters from Genesis, who were generally well liked.
it was bit dumb but it made perfect sense. some of the plot set ups like El did not pay off in a way that was expected but having failures in the plot added to the story. What part made no sense to you?
>Written by a soap opera writer who used the main character as her self insert and wrote the whole thing like a shoujo manga, including said main character's destructive actions which put not only her friends but the entire world in danger in a quest to gain the affection of an emotionally and physically abusive male character
maybe that is another issue. I liked virgin soul more than Genesis. I found Amira flat. Favaro and Kaisar banter annoying. zombie sub plot took up too much time, etc. I do feel like it shits on the past characterization of Azazel and others but it works if you remember nothing from Genesis
none of her actions were that stupid in context. shorthand was used when it came to romance but I did not mind it since I did not want it to be a 75 ep show
>Favaro and Kaisar banter annoying.
hahaha what
what rate would you give it as a shoujo manga,
>Favaro tells her that he had to make a hard decision about saving the world or saving one woman he loved
>Asks her what her decision will be
>"Him!"
except her choice was different. killing him would not save the world, her adding her life to the mix did.
Nice fujoshit anime you got there, landwhale.
Because it was fucking trash and ruined everything people loved about S1
its incomplete without Lucifer. Throw in El and bara guy if you are going for shounen ai or only EL if you are going for diabolik lovers type thing
elaborate
And saving him wouldn't save the world either.
In fact Bahamut is now immune to Dromos. Good job fuckup!
>no favaro in the first half
>kaisar becomes a little bitch
>focus is now on a bad shoujo MC
>no adventures
it would save it in that moment. she loves him so why not save him as well and boost the attack?
Why Cheerios couldn't just tell people that he wanted to kill the dragon?
ultimately all those people would still need to die and no one would volunteer for that? There does not seem to be a good reason. I expected there to be a twist where he needed the negative energy or wanted armies of all sides to be there in case he failed or something like that but they never addressed it.
>never addressed it.
Yeah that was the main problem with him.
Also, did they explain why did he need to go full Hitler on demons?
because to kill the dragon you would need to weaken the seals. If he told people at that time than very few would follow him and if he told them afterwords the rebellion would have happened faster.
nope. war gains would help convince the people to go along with whatever he chose and suffer inconvenience for eventual rewards. would also help with nobles
so they would not take his big gun from him? some things needed to be inferred or assumed. Why he did it was unimportant. it would matter if his character was doing something gray and the why of it may have tipped you over one way or the other on whether to side with him or not but hastening the resurrection of bahamut was clearly retarded idea(instead of using the time for better prep) that can not be redeemed with any "why" so the rest does not matter.
Because anyone with a brain would tell him he was a fucking retard and probably kill him for being the dangerous kind of retard.
Fucker willfully weakened the seals in such a way that it simply could not be reverted, he wanted to use a weapon that had failed in killing Bahamut and he wanted to do it on his own instead of working together with all other races like they usually did to defeat the flying apocalypse.
Ultimately all he did was weaken all three races, finish destroying the weapon that couldn't kill Bahamut and actually let it roam freely around the world, more angry than he has ever been, if his plan was to set up the perfect situation to wipe out 70% of all life on the planet he accomplished his mission
Maybe they'd be right at rebelling because Cheerios was following some vague notes from a madman and Bahamut didn't die anyway
>vague notes from a madman
This will never stop being absurd, why the fuck would anyone follow the plans of some crazy fucker whose sole objective was to free Bahamut and let it genocide the planet? Why the hell would he even research for a way to kill him anyway?
>Favaro and Kaisar banter annoying
That was one of the best parts.
It went in circles a bit too much for its own good. That's my biggest issue with it. The production values were great and I liked most of the cast. Charioce's motivations also take too long to be revealed and it felt like too little too late.
They would be right but Cheerios should not be the one giving them that information
I was surprised when azazel did not try to use El for another try.
or it was a stolen book. lucifer had one just like it.
not for me. It reminded me too much of old sitcomes where one character screams out mischievous punks name.
If it were diabolik lovers there'd still be a genuine girl as the lead, unless you think otome is fujoshit too.
There is an overlap. also half the side boys who are not picked for the insert girls bed are usually yaoied
>>plot that is uncommon in anime
yeah, the plot was uncommonly bad
It really feels like they were going for the evil overlord and changed it in the last second, it doesn't make sense
same reason people didn't like the last jedi, it shit on characters you liked and tried to push new ones that are shit.
...
Holy shit... When I compared netflix death note to the dark tower movie I didn't realize I could compare this to star wars
Blame Cygames. They hired her to do exactly that, because that was their vision for Virgin Soul for some reason.
The writer gets shat on too much for merelydoing the job she was paid forwhile the real culprit gets ignored.
