Sorry, I have a daisangen

^

I ronned your queen, UNO

It's pretty sad to think that Tonari no Seki-kun was one of the better anime of 2014

Sadly for you, I've got a full house, now go directly to jail, do not collect 200 dollars

This. Mahjong always wins.

Chess pieces have much higher mobility but shogi can use necromancy cheats. That would have been interesting.

The Shogun

But daisangen always lose, so what happens?

Everyone gets impregnated, no survivors.

Shogi in a pitched battle: More foor soldiers, Chariots and less useless stuff like Kings and Bishops as well as more Generals.
However Chess has 2 castles, so it has a pretty strong defensive, as well as a working state religion and can possibly sustain the fight for longer as it can produce heirs and keep the conflict going.

RON! RON! RON RON! RON! ROOON! ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNN!

Unironically the cutest character in the video

Shogi should be the winner. Since Shogi can reuse figures, the shogi player only needs to built a strong front line and then moves it slowly forward.

Table flip, 360 and moonwalk the fuck outta there.

Chess, the starting advantage is too great. Queen is stronger than any shogi piece. Two shogi pieces can promote into queens if they manage to reach the last three rows, but until then they are just a rook and a bishop, which chess has two of each. Shogi can bring back stolen pieces, but is unable to move during than turn. Chess pieces having way better mobility could just devour things as soon as they're placed. It's not impossible for shogi to win, but it's an uphil battle.

Rocks fall, everyone dies.

Barbarian queen is slashed by exquisite katana.

Why end this thread with a shitty daisangen?
Why didn't you use the great d倧rinshan kaihou of Saki-senpai?
I'm literally disappoint

Rinshan Kaihou doesn't add anything to a Daisangen. It's a pretty shitty yaku either way, it should be worth 2 han.

The bears, obviously.
Or maybe the robot family, if they arrive in time.

>Rinshan Kaihou doesn't add anything to a Daisangen
If you get this hand at east 1 being you the dealer, call a kan and then get the last north tile you needed to win, does it still counts as a tenhou?

A call "stops" the current turn (like you can't get Riichi Ippatsu if someone called) so I assume even a closed Kan would prevent Tenhou

How do you want to take a shogi piece though ? As the chess player, you are not allowed to loose even one not-pawn piece.

Shogi can use their opponent's captured pieces so it has the advantage.

Shogi since you can bring back pieces on the board.

but you only use pieces facing towards the opponent, right? So what happens to the chess pieces that are brought back (besides the knighted horse)? Do they just stay on the board as neutral parties? Get taken over by a third person who takes a corner of the board and turns it into Switzerland?
