Are you surprised that FUNimation, Viz, Sentai, someone hasn't licensed/subbed this yet? I know everything gets licensed eventually, but I feel like w/ the popularity this had, it'd come sooner than later.
Kemono Friends
I want to bury my face in Serval's fat cat tats.
Wait, then who did HorribleSubs rip it from?
Where they always do.
Just looked it up, it's on CR.
Isn't it licensed then?
Crunchyroll got the streaming rights but it doesn't appear anybody has licensed the dvd/blu ray distribution rights.

>TFW KF is just too lewd for public TV
western companies are afraid of furry anime
Is it weird I listen to cave man music for this series, because of the whole "out of Africa" early man thing they have going?

KF is poisoned fruit
not even for the memes?
its only 10% unlike everything WB had which was 100%
i mean look at lola for fuck sake shes the reason furries exist
Wait... This is licenced in the USA now? I've been waiting forever to see this. Im in Maryland. So I guess I'm SOL if I want a bluray but its totally ok and legal to stream it from Crunchyroll.com?
So how does that work? I only buy blurays and dvds when rightstuf gets it or library. Can I buy the stream and download the stream somehow from the site? I prefer owning a copy of all anime/movies I get.

no new uploads in a while would love to see tsuchinoko episode
Lurk for two years before posting.
Everything shut down after Kadokawa. i was even surprised we got a new episode of this

Uh. I have been. Since 08. I just don't pirate.

That is one lewd cat.
Yeah, nah. Fuck off.
No thanks. ;) don't make me call the cyberpolice.
You can also buy it on Steam, which itself is just a crunchy roll stream. No hard copies.

As far as I know Korea has the only KF dub as of now.
Not really what I'd call popular.

At this point I'll take Raw Blue rays.
My Niece won't understand it, but she lives in Hawaii, there's enough Japanese people there. It'll be like Muzzy for her.
Not at all, if something doesn't get a simuldub, I never expect it to get dubbed.

anything that involves a sudden explosion in cash becomes complicated.
meanwhile, Mine STILL hasn't tweeted yet.
How long will he wait? I can't imagine the response he'll get once he finally posts. It'll probably be some random picture or comment and he'll ignore all the replies.
One old man really hated Tatsuki though.
I guess that's just how the world works.

>meanwhile, Mine STILL hasn't tweeted yet.
>How long will he wait? I can't imagine the response he'll get once he finally posts. It'll probably be some random picture or comment and he'll ignore all the replies.
I'd guess he only will go back to tweeting once the new Keroro project or Kemono Friends s2 is unveiled since it'd give stuff to talk about besides asking about the Tatsuki situation.
Reminder that foxes are for domestic abuse only.
I dont think he can go a full year without tweeting, especially with that many followers,ESPECIALLY considering how essential twitter is for the japanese
KF season 2 would flare up a lot of hate, I guarantee it.
Just look at Metal Gear right now
...
He never tweeted much though. Sometimes he could go an entire week or more without tweeting. He wasn't one of those types that constantly blog about their daily life.
The Keroro stuff also should come up sooner than KFs2 since it's supposed to tie with the anniversary of the pilot chapter this year and it's already confirmed to be by BNP.
I'm thinking about when there's a trailer and such - some solid information about the new project, not just a studio/airing season announcement.
>He never tweeted much though
You can go all the way back to last year and you'll see he consistently posted often, atleast once a week. Hell you can go all the way back to 2014 and the pattern is the same.
"At least Once a week" really isn't much though. I'm not saying he took huge breaks like the current one, but you can scroll down his timeline and quickly go from one month to another.
He was never a daily user, so it doesn't seem like it was ever his personal means of communication unlike other Japanese people who constantly hold conversations on twitter or blog about their daily life there.
Not him but Mine is out on Sep 25 and the day that Tats blocked him
It's really fishy seeing how it's been 4 months now
What can he do? Ignore the entire happening, look like a big asshole and get called out by people demanding answers? Or explain everything that happened then get murdered by Kadokawa? His hands are completely tied in this case, he can't do anything until the truth comes out.
...
At the moment, he is seen as the villain. So yeah, I would raher say something if I were him
But meh, whatever. he could shut up forever for all I care. KF is dead and we have no choice but to migrate to whereever Tatsuki leads the fanbase.
Hopefully someplace governed wisely
I don't think any "truth" can really come out at this point. Based on the Yaoyorozu staff they weren't even told why they were getting dropped, just that it was a decision of some member of the KFP committee and they never backed down, while Kadokawa had that claim about Yaoyorozu refusing a new contract limiting their control of the franchise.
Everything will be left to the rumors currently running around (It was Kadokawa! It was Mine! And such), which is why I think we only might see any change regarding Mine's status on twitter when there's some big Keroro or KF news so the comments aren't just about something clearly no one wants or can talk about openly.
Which pengi is this one?
That's not a very friendly Friend.
Personally I loved Kemono Friends for the combination of miracles that everything about it to happen. While losing Tatsuki certain is a gigantic hit to the series which means any future project will never have the same feel as the S1 of the anime, I'm not suddenly going to start hating it just because he's gone. I love both KF and Tatsuki, I don't only love KF because of Tatsuki.
>get murdered by Kadokawa
If Kadokawa are threatening him to stay quiet, explain twitter.com
>I love both KF and Tatsuki, I don't only love KF because of Tatsuki.
Wise words, user.
>Mine-isms
More like trying to protect the IP as a whole. And hell, if they can threaten him to stay quiet (which they can because of Keroro), they can just as easily threaten him to say anything they want him to say as well or shift the entire blame on him because he can't defend himself.
I don't find it fair to turn on Mine after all the love he poured the making of a series I grew to love this much, but whatever, that's just my opinion and you're free to believe in anything you want as well.
Tatsuki wasn't lost, he was fired. And if you loved S1 KF because of everything that made it, the complete disregard for the fans and creators of S1 by the people in charge gives you plenty of reason to hate the present KF.
Very arousing.
Maybe Kadokawa have manipulated Mine's every action for the past 5 months. Maybe they've done so without any sensible plan while happily incurring plenty of company-wide PR damage just to have control of an insignificant franchise they already had control over.
Or maybe Mine is a bit of an asshole.
That's from before he stopped posting anyway. Are you just complaining about him propping up the new game?
They don't have a silence order on him considering how he still gets the shounen ace author comments, but it's not unlikely they'd want to avoid attention to downplay the whole situation, thus no twitter posting or direct comments about the situation.
Yeah, some people argue the Keroro thing the other way around (Mine has fame from Keroro, so he could force Kadokawa's hand), but I don't think that lines up well.
Keroro is something Mine has been working on for 20 years now (and uses elements from his other works from both before and during it), but right now it's not really a big franchise to Kadokawa. A few years ago Mine introduced a character with a power/color change gimmick clearly aiming a new animation, but it just got flash shorts airing alongside reruns rather than a proper new season.
On the other hand, Keroro during its peak was very big, so Kemono Friends isn't Mine's first time involved in a successful franchise, and we know from Keroro's anime staff that he took creative differences well there.
Keroro's peak basically ended during a similar "silent" situation though, but it wasn't animation related there.
A little while after the launch of Keroro RPG, Bandai just cancelled every Keroro related merch (a model kit line even ended before they released a Dororo pirate robot prototype they had shown already- and a sidemanga had a combined pirate robot that also never got released). The anime ran for one year without merchandising and little marketing and then it ended, while the manga still continued on its own pace. During that final year, Keroro had less promo tie ins and such than it had in the years -after- the show was over.
The following year saw a couple of minor commercial tie-ins with Takara, Bandai's rival, before Bandai jumped back on merch and game tie-ins.
Kemono Friends itself did nothing to make me hate it. The entire bullshit happened because of mysteries involving Kadokawa.
Call me naive or innocent or whatever, but until there's clear proof that Mine was behind everything, I'll choose to believe that he's the biggest victim in all of this simply because I like him.
They wouldn't need to "manipulate" him. If he just continued with his previous trend of taking creative differences well and accept getting his ideas rejected even in his own franchise, he'll just go along with Kadokawa even if he disagrees with their decisions.
The alternative (Mine kicking out Tatsuki and then insisting in the situation for months during the "negotiations" even after everything blew up) requires him having power over Kadokawa that he hasn't shown elsewhere and behaving in a very inflexible way which seems odd considering all his collaborative work.
Now, people aren't characters, and a behavior change like that could happen for one reason or another, but I really think that scenario would imply Mine has way more power and influence within Kadokawa than what we've seen.
...
What an inscrutable expression
People on 2ch/5ch have been speculating that Mine at least made a few tweets on the Keroro PR account after 9.25 due to similarities in writing style.
Lion and Tiger are the cutest cats. Coyote cutest canid.
>fukuhara sighted at KF stage play
Big if true
Is this a detective now.
Crunchyroll is part of the production committee. The safest bet is that they do have DVD/BD rights.
But CR co-produced Kemono Friends. Most likely they have the DVD/BR rights.
I am. It took until now for a manga publisher to make a move on the series too.
Bizarre.
He could have just been there just to see how the VAs are doing.
I also heard that some audience members were causing disturbances, which were bad enough for them to make an official announcement on twitter. Very disappointing.
Mine has plenty of influence over KF as the creator of the IP. All he needs to force a contractor out is an excuse as to why it's better for the franchise in the long term. Backed by the threat of "either they go, or I go" if needed.
Mine's reputation and character matter a lot less than his words and actions, both of which lend zero support to him being against firing Yaoyorozu or even being thankful for the work they did. Going from his hands-off stance from before KF got big to his current General Manager / Creative Leader / sure put my drawings in Pavilion stance makes his previous trends even less trustworthy.
>being thankful for the work they did
Post-firing, sorry. I've read the guidebooks.
I bet it was CR who told Kadokawa to fire Tatsuki. They knew that they'd never make any money from the show in the west so they decided to kill it.
I bet it was Daiz himself.
I still don't believe that Mine is the 'villain' (and I doubt very much is there an sole villain behind this mess) however there are definitely sketchy things going behind the scenes.
I don't know how much say Mine actually had in the Parco art exhibit but it was clearly made to associate Mine's name with the franchise including a large sign that said 'Kemono Friends Since 2014' trying to tell people that the franchise existed before the anime (which is entirely true, it just wasn't popular).
!!
>One old man
Mine isn't that old though.
I'll never fall for your tricks, Kadokawa.
fuck off mine, no one likes you!
That's right, it's all Tatsu-- I mean Mine's fault! Those darn creative types, with their passion and skill and talent! How dare they get all uppity! They may make everything you love through their blood, sweat and tears, but in the end it's (((our))) money that makes it possible!
Anyone here watching killing bites because its the closest thing next to season 2?
What if it Tatsuki removing himself after feeling pressure to come through again?
Why should they? As a streaming service company, the crunchies aren't interested in selling videograms. Their former partners Funimation normally does, but only for anime that might be popular in the west, and then they dub it.
Kemono Friends is definitely never going to be popular in the West, so it's a complete utter waste of everyone's time and money to even consider releasing it in the West.
How would they know whether something would be popular in the west or ot before they've even attempted marketing it in the west?
I'm watching it because it's the closest thing to Monster Musume season 2.
