Was it a good first mission? I mean It was no zabuza arc but it was alright
Boruto

The zabuza arc wasn't their first mission to be fair, I believe there was a small time skip where they did a handful of missions beforehand
The first episode was shit. The second episode was decent. Missed potential to show the flaws in the Shinobi system. Would have rather the fake mission be the real mission and have Team 7 protect the town from bandits who are really just villagers from a poor village who can't afford to hire shinobi. Have Team 7 wonder if they are the bad guys.
Eh you had the whole bridge thing set up so I figured that was their angle. Then she put up that little sign saying team 7 rest area like they named the bridge in the arc.
This, that's kind of how the previous episode was turning out to be before the kidnapping.
Konohamaru I think stole the show this episode, a pleasant surprise.
That's pretty good. They hinted towards it with them being rogue because they lost their jobs. Hidari seemed pretty dangerous for some random guy since clone sealing techs are not the norm so he wasn't exactly some chump.
Sarada breaking the 4th wall at the end had me rolling
How's the show been so far? I stopped watching Naruto after it went to all filler and never touched Shippuden, but I did read through the manga once it finished for the sake of seeing the story through. Kind of in the mood for a fun shounen show so I'm tempted to pick up Boruto or just watch Shippuden but the pacing looks like it sucks
Didn't feel like there was any effort put into this arc, which is pretty much par for the course in this show.
Boruto's pretty good. it's light-hearted and has a likable cast of characters that the show takes its time to characterize and develop. Also gives focus to neglected members of the old cast like Shino. The animation is great as well.
It's legitimately boring and uninteresting. Every 10 or some episodes you get some good animation. That's about it.
it was OK, but it was too short.
they should've dwell more into the whole jobless shinobi thing caused by the aftermath of the Shinobi war
Is everyone satisfied with konohamaru or would you have preferred someone else?
I actually recommend it, the animation is good, the plotting is also good, and it is all-around enjoyable.
MANGA SPOILERS IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS
Reminder that Salad knows Katon but we don't know who taught her.
If it wasn't Sasuke I'll be very upset!
That pose tho
I want more of this Salad and less of the punch shit really hard salad.
guys I want to fuck Konohamaru
So does life user...I've said too much.
Hanabi?
My little murderer can't possibly be this cute.
she's ugly tho
truly the worst parts of her parents combined into one
You mean you want to get fucked by konohamaru.
The reason they made her ugly is just so that in Boruto shippuden it contrasts even more
She's just extremely plain as fuck. Like background fodder tier. No idea why they couldn't at least drop the glasses and give her long hair. I mean what is the reasoning for giving an uchiha glasses when both her parents don't use them.
So she’ll look like even more of a fox post-timeskip and Hiashi’s machinations reach success
Hopefully they hurry up
Only watch some nice fights in Shippuden like Naruto vs Pain, Madara's entry, Kakashi vs Obito, etc.
Don't bother with Boruto, basically nothing is actually happening.
Better hope ikemoto doesn't have a hand in that design you're thinking of
Boruto has been filler from literally the first episode. There was like 4ish non-filler ones.
Boruto will eventually be good. Consider checking back mid 2019, when they'll finally have enough manga material to go on proper. That'll be alright.
por que no los dos?
Be better if they just drop the manga and stick to having the anime lead.
There's no way they'd drop the manga, bruv. Shounen jump's sales would drop like a rock. That's like saying "they really should just consider wrapping up one piece".
In any case, it can't be helped, this is simply how things are done across the tropical pond.
Maybe that was too hasty. Maybe having the anime pull ahead and the manga follow like super
>Boruto has been filler from literally the first episode.
Why is this meme still allowed?
I randomly want to watch naruto from start to finish for nostalgia, how do i stop being a faggot
find a guide that lists all the filler episodes, skip those, and have a good time
>skipping part 1 filler
It's like you hate fun
why the villain didnt dodge rasengan?
Because it isn't a meme, everything minus the stuff about Boruto's eye is filler; the real content starts at the chunin exams arc.
your disregarding the nue arc even though its important to thw story. fucking
denialfag
>”real” content
>implying anything is even happening in the manga
How about we stop using “filler” as a way to write off whatever we don’t like?
it is shit actually
It was a huge aoe wind rasengan. He knew he couldnt dodge it so he froze
>skipping bikouchuu
If he didn't love his villain speech no jutsu, he'd have won.
>both her parents don't use them.
AHAHAHAHAHA
Stay in denial. The anime is just padding
Hell no. The Land of Waves arc was fucking perfect. It was gritty af and put those Konoha shinobi in their place. It was during this arc that we are truly introduced to the dangers of the shinobi world: people that are hired to kill other people, and missions where death is almost guaranteed to occur. Zabuza was a powerful missing-nin that not even Kakashi was guaranteed to beat. Hell, when Haku saved Zabuza and assumed that Haku killed him, Kakashi even went as far as to say that there are shinobi "younger than [Naruto and the others and yet stronger than him." And considering how Naruto (and Sasuke) didn't do jackshit against Kakashi during the bell-test,h hearing Kakashi admit that there are kids younger than Sasuke that are stronger than Kakashi was sobering.
The stakes were considerably higher. The Konoha shinobi were at a significant disadvantage; they not only had to fight two shinobi that were much stronger than their entire group, but they also had to protect Tazuna and his family from a whole group of mercenaries hired by a wealthy magnate. Zabuza was Jonin-level; Haku was said to be around Jonin-level and had ANBU-class skills. They were true threats.
Compare it to this arc. The stakes were considerably lower. Rather than protect a bridge builder and an entire country from what was essentially a giant army, they had to protect a village's leader and deed from two weak af rogue ninja. Granted the ninja were stronger than Boruto and the other Genin individually, but they were considerably weaker than Zabuza was. Konohamaru effortlessly defeated one of them, and the three Genin worked together to beat the other one.
The plot was also significantly better in Naruto. Land of Waves was an impoverished country where people had nothing to eat or to sustain themselves with. Kaiza was their own hope and salvation, and he was executed right in front of the civilians by the evil magnate. The bridge was the Land of Waves' only hope of not dying.
The only likeable character in Boruto is Sarada. She should be the MC because not only does she have clear goal, she's likeable, cute, not annoying or boring like her teammates or the other new gen kids,
Tazuna had to complete that bridge to save his country, and Inari (who became scared when his stepfather was executed) had to get the courage for him and the other people in the Land of Waves to stand up to Gato and the mercenaries.
The Green Banks, however, is not nearly as impoverished. The civilians can thrive without any issues, but they got attacked over a bridge. Kiri's father was powerful enough to protect his village, sure, but he had a much better chance than Kaiza. Nobody could take Kiri's dad down; he was killed from drinking a poisonous beverage .And Kiri's lesson was not to summon the courage to fight overwhelming odds; it is to consult her village-folk so that she doesn't make stupid decisions like hide or mitigate legitimate threats from the rest of her people.
This arc is a metaphor for Boruto as a whole; a watered-down and cheap imitation of the original. The Land of Waves mission was much better handled. Hell, it wasn't resolved in a mere 2 episodes like this heap of garbage was.
>missing the Shippuden Chunin exams
>the Lee and Shira fight
Fuck me if Shira being able to make a technique similar to the 8 gates on his own, but that was fun as shit to watch.
youtube.com
will Konohamaru job to Ao?
after the latest episode, not likely
Translations are going very quickly, which means it's an action-focused chapter. Over half-complete.
It wasn't supposed to be, but yes, it was a good first mission. Last episode can be skipped fairly easily though.
Nigger it was two episodes.
>both her parents don't use them.
user, I...
>The Land of Waves arc was fucking perfect
Have you ever gone back and rewatched/re-read it? It's nothing special. The first fight in the forest is lame and slow, and the fight on the bridge is above average. The only really good thing is Naruto going Kyuubi for the first time, Haku's death, and then the ending with Zabuza dying as well. Everything else is passable. The anime adaptation was awfully paced.
Almost 30 pages now. It's literally just fighting.
future sarada be like...
The Undercover Machine Gunner Ao is doing early spring cleaning!
New chapter translation is more than halfway done already and the last pages they still fight so we can expect a full chapter of action.
>Land of Waves was an impoverished country where people had nothing to eat or to sustain themselves with
If the people had nothing to eat then how was Gato, a shipping magnate, supposed to make any money by extorting them? Why not just buy up the deed to the bridge, or fund its construction and then install a toll and make shitzillions of dollars? His plan was fucking dumb and that's why we never saw another villain like that afterwards. Because it was dumb.
Will be launched today?
Ao is a force to be reckoned with and there is going to be more teamwork. Get hyped.
>first mission
>rogue shinobis
>holy shiit that is dangerous hurr durr
>frist one gets scared and feints, battle over
>second one gets hitted once, battle over
and you say this was good? lol it is even for a naruto filler bad
The gang is getting wrecked. Boruto is hurt.
Are there any pics?
What the fuck is Konohamaru doing.
Only 10 pages left to be translated.
Konojobbermaru
Bort prolly got shot.
He's not fighting a "filler" enemy anymore.
Where's the translation?
Imagine someone of Kakashi's caliber with a gun. That's Ao, apparently.
>yfw there's no Samurai spinoff where you start as Ronin and end up becoming Taisho/General of Iron Country trough warrior pilgrimage and spiritual enlightenment without bonds or nakama bullshit like the Ninjas.
Holy fuck, someone apparently died and it's NOT Katasuke.
Uh oh.
This is bait now.
the dog died
We Jojo now.
It could be that comrade Konohamaru is trying to save. Basically fodder.
Katasuke is actually quite important to the lore since he's pioneering a lot on technology.
Konohamaru: Chads it up in one episode and jobs hard in the next chapter.
This would be worse than Gohan, at least it's clear that he's always going to be a jobber.
fuck off with that forced word
Sarada is mediocre, Boruto and Mitsuki are both better than her in every way. Boring goals, she has no struggle, boring moveset. She'd be an awful MC.
No one died, someone got injured.
Not if she kept her Gaiden personality and possessed her Ultimate Ninja Storm moves.
She's the same as same she's always been outside from some poorly written episodes like 38 and 40.
I just don't care about her much, "Gaiden personality" or not. What did she even do in that arc except for cry for Sasuke? She's a way better heroine than Sakura, I'll give her that, but Uchihafags/SSfags can fuck off with her being the MC, it would suck.
Sarada's goal bothers me the most. It's just a Naruto rehash but at least Naruto had to work for it. In Sarada's case she has no competition since nobody else wants to become hokage.
Konohamaru wants to become Hokage, too.
Then Sarada just becomes hokage after him. She's so much younger.
Yeah, she's an Uchiha genius and has no flaws to speak of. We all know she can become Hokage. Naruto was interesting in the beginning because he was actually a loser and we saw him grow from that, I don't need a boring rehash of his story except with a female Uchiha. Boruto's goal is more vague and he'll have a more interesting future.
Also, Borr uses the lightsaber in the new chapter.
It was better than the school trip arc, but that's not saying much. I despise the alterations they made to all their personalities to match the movie and the team dynamic is fucking awful, much worse than old team 7.
Episode 23 is where Boruto should have ended, the Academy and Uchiha arcs were the only things planned out and given any effort. Now it's just another bad long running shounen that's made up week to week.
Can people point out these massive changes in their personalities in the new ep and back this meme up? Who exactly was acting OOC and how? Ep 38 and 40 were not written as well, I admit, but the problem is overblown.
7 pages left.
>Yeah, she's an Uchiha genius and has no flaws to speak of.
>not even 2 tomoe
>shitty eyesight already
>aspiring to be Hokage despite ties to the coolest criminal of their era
>based Tobiarama.png
I'm not surprised. The anime and manga are coordinating. The most recent episode focused on teamwork and hyping Konohamaru.
In the Academy arc Boruto's whole motivation was Naruto not paying attention to him, Hinata and Himawari. He was often overconfident and lazy but still relatively grounded. He was also a natural at teamwork and didn't even need to try, coordinating with his classmates multiple times and with Mitsuki against Nue.
Now he's a cocky retard with no common sense who's trying to impress his Dad, which is the fucking opposite of his old motivation.
Sarada got the worst of it and is now just a straight up bitch, taking dumb jabs at Boruto every 5 minutes for no reason. She was likable during the Uchiha arc but now she's just awful.
Mitsuki has been nothing but a yes man for Sarada for the last 3 episodes. Pretty much all of his fun autism is gone and he's just sort of there.
