The answer is always one: never

2020

YOI would be definitely dead in 2020, let's hope before or during Pyeongchang next month something happens.

Maybe like really late 2018, start of 2019. MAPPA will be busy with Banana Fish this year.

Banana Fish was announced last October, there'll be a new event about it on February 22th. Now it's time they prioritize the movie though. Hiramatsu's words cleared all doubts, this is gonna be the year of full production.

I don’t know, having the movie come out near the Olympics seems kind of fitting.

Figure skating is not among the disciplines

Tbh I think it will be half dead by the time the movie airs, no matter if they start this year. They are already too late.

I am a pessimistic person, but you user are definitely exaggerated.

Is there a chance the movie can outsell S1 by the way?

I dunno but everyone has seemed to move on to Devilman Crybaby.

Those filthy plebs have never deserved the YOI boys.
What makes Crybaby a replacement of YOI? I don't get it. I liked it too and a lot, but for different reasons, not certainly the homo.

Please enjoy this ice Prince pig.

Is DC even that popular among Japanese fujos? No one gives a shit about western fans.

Yuuri's birthday was top 10 on nip twitter and it was voted anime of the year for Tokyo anime awards 2017 so there's still some energy behind YoI.

I doubt he'll be able to skate in this.

>Is DC even that popular among Japanese fujos?
Historically, yes. Devilman was always popular.

I meant the new one specifically.

It's not a problem for you to go on pixiv and check it.

Thanks. I'll fap to him later.

80% of fanarts I saw are from western fujos on twitter, and there is a very small amount of new fanarts everyday for Akira and Ryou on pixiv. I don't see the problem with the nips, DCB it's more a western thing I think.

>this picture
I remember times when I thought it's anatomically perfect. Clamp works are painful to watch now.

Crybaby is a short-living fad, it'll be forgotten in a month.

People said (and still say) YOI is flavor of the month, but here we are.

YOI had two months worth of cocktease, and the whole spectrum of pretty boys in the cast.

From art point, DC is probably better than YoI, but it just doesn't have enough of things to catch fujos' attention for long. If anything, next Legend of the Galactic Heroes is going to be next fujo Mecca for 2018.

>From art point, DC is probably better than YoI
Arguable. Both are pleasant, YOI's weak point was the shitty rushed animation. The character design was various and interesting.
Whatever will come in the next 2-3 years won't undermine YOI, as long as MAPPA don't remain silent for several months to promote S2 after the movie.

I didn't know there was going to be a movie. Can't wait for more Victor and Yuri.

Good taste user.
The movie was announced last April.

I'm betting fall 18 or winter 19. Then there's another 6 months of waiting for subs or for crunchyroll to get the rights to air it on selected cinemas.

Go to Japan with me user. I won't be physically able to wait for rips or pray that my country buys the rights.

>Implying someone can't like more than one thing.
You do realize there's little to no YOI content at the moment, right?

It was just an unironic phase. It most definitely won't be erased from everyone's consciousness but it's not a threat.
But if MAPPA keeps on dragging it'll just give it's audience a higher expectation on the final product. The movie could make or break the whole thing, imo.

I think they are talking about the movie here and will also have another event with Junpei about YOI animation in February twitter.com/hiko_hisa/status/953440660115226624

I need more content im just living off of pocha yuuri now

We all are

...

Now that's a smile I want to protect.

Man I'm really excited for what they'll do with Fairy in the movie. But at the same time I'd be mad if we get more background on his character but Bald stays an alien.

I didn't even know they gave him another nendo, so fucking pure.

twitter.com/hiko_hisa/status/953440660115226624

this is the animation workshop with junpei cgworld.jp/news/event/1802-plusone-tatenaka.html

They have to deliver both. Bald can't stay an alien.
Not to only the movie should equal S1, but to justify all the months of waiting it needs to be top-notch.

I'm dreading it, they're probably going to shit on him for Bald or Pig or both, I don't know why Baldfags are worried kek

I wish Fairy had his own show, the best I can hope for now seems to be that they'll pair him off with Otabek so he won't be third-wheeling for BaldFat the rest of his life. I don't even give a shit about Otabek either.

Watch bald's parents turn out to be average joes who supports him instead of a orphan sobstory.

I love "one" Fairy.

>Bald having ordinary parents that live a simple life and occasionally forget that their son is a national treasure.
Just.

Like the Katsuki's then.

That's unironically what want them to be.

Cinematic pottery.
Alternatively have them be former olympians that retired gracefully and push Bald to do the same.

Wasn't there someone in the background who looked suspiciously like balds dad? Can't find the actual screenshot.

>you will never be fat, gay, and anxious enough to nuzzle this princess.

It hurts to live.

Its up for pre-order on GSC right now.

That gif, god sometimes I forget how beautiful and majestic Baldy is. The movie needs to happen asap, I should be acutely aware of this at all times.

How did I manage before the beauty of bald's tits? Was I even living?

>months of waiting
You mean waiting for YEARS.

So it's not a Yoi-only event. Well, I honestly don't hold out much hope of getting some news at said workshop.

I mean, if T&B got an announcement after 6 YEARS and the fujo response was as massive as it was on nip twitter, YOI will definitely not be forgotten either. Western fans don't matter because they change their favorites every season.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the movie and expecting it for late 2018 or during 2019.

Yeah that man from episode 1 who was next to Yakov.
>looked suspiciously like balds dad
Not really. I mean not suspiciously

I'm anticipating and dreading when the movie comes out. All we'll initially have are summaries from people who actually went and you know how sometimes fans have faulty memories -- as in, they'll mention some scenes that others don't, so we don't know what's the truth.

I love how Victor nuzzles his cheek onto the pillow before hugging Makkachin. It's like he's seeking comfort. Good thing he'll use Yuuri as his pillow.

His tits are made for groping.

One should be shrewd enough to not blindly trust caps-lock summaries from dumblr and twitter overheated fujos, that's all.

I haven't bought a nendo in about eight years, but I want to buy this one. That smile is the purest and most precious thing ever.
>Puma Tiger Scorpion finally immortalized in nendo form
Not too bad for a kitty with ten seconds of screentime. Way to go, Potya-tan!

Name a cuter YoI boy.

But T&B doesn't also have a visual novel, a manga, etc.? The franchise was sustained by different kind of media in the years, so it's never been really dead, right?
With YOI is different. They're not doing much besides collaborations and infinite merchandise. (In a sense, I'm glad)

...

JJ Cartmen is worse YoI boy.

fucking fatass

New art from Itou-chan from a book.

...

They give you some gifts if you buy 6 packs of contact lens.
They really did a good job fixing the abomination that was the first version of Yuuri.

These are ugly as hell, but they stare so lovingly at each other. What do?

They look like Tim Burton rejects to me still.
