What do you think Raftel and the One Piece are?
One Piece
Raftel is the Ancient Kingdom, we've seen it in the manga when Crocus mentioned it. One Piece, I still fall on that blowing up the Red Line theory, so maybe it's another weapon or something similar.
But didn't Oda say it'd be a physical reward when he answered what the One Piece wasn't? Why would it be a weapon to blow up the Red Line?
Raftel is the underwater path that leads you under Reverse Mountain, where the other Knock Up Stream can take a haki-coated ship all the way to All Blue, a moon of water.
The Red Line is where Mariejois is located. The final arc will supposedly be something that'll make Marineford look like a skirmish, so maybe some real damage will take place. Plus, a weapon is a tangible object. It could be something else, that I won't deny.
Raftel is a known Island, that's just its occult name. Candidates: obviously Mariejois - Loguetown the island of beginning and end - or reverse mountain (inside it).

Kaido will die in chapter 900
I understand that, but why would a weapon be the ultimate reward when the three ancient weapons already exist? Surely Pluton can make some dents into the Red Line.
...
Because there's nothing saying there's only three weapons? You have to think outside the box. A weapon doesn't really mean a physical gun or laser, etc. It can easily be knowledge.
>Plus, a weapon is a tangible object.
>A weapon doesn't really mean a physical gun or laser, etc. It can easily be knowledge.
make your mind up
Isn't Uranus the final ancient weapon? And I get knowledge being the ultimate weapon, but would that really be a good reward for the entire journey?
How often do you think Luffy's VA had to say "I'm gonna be king of the pirates." in her life?
He says it once every other episode of the anime, atleast once in every promotional material, and it is basically his catchphrase in every video game he shows up in.
Mayumi has said it more than she's uttered Kamehameha or Kienzan in every single piece of DB media ever.
That's not too surprising, jobbers like Krillin don't get to show off.
I never really got into OP, but I always thought that was a lie Gold Roger invented as a kind of last fuck-you to the government when they executed him, knowing that he could turn his failure into a much bigger failure for governments by spreading a legend he knew would usher in a new age of piracy
The city reminds me of Gravity Rush 2.
I've always imagined the final war will be Luffy and his allies going up against the World Government, but it actually makes me more excited if the Yonkous actually had their own interest so it could really be a World War.
I always thought it was one of the three weapons. No one has Roger's weapon right now right? That's where he left it. At that place. And the guy was filthy rich too. No one would have left in search of it if he was a poorfriend.
Raftel - Probably the ancient kingdom as the first user said. One Piece is clearly connected to this kingdom, since the World Government wants to stop people from knowing about the ancient kingdom and pirates from trying to find OP, so it makes sense for Raftel (the final stop) to be the kingdom.
One Piece - I believe One Piece is freedom. What does Roger treasure the most? It's always freedom. The pirate king is the one who sails the seas with the most freedom. Why would it be some material treasure? One Piece is just a metaphor for how Roger intends the future pirate king, his successor, to destroy the Red Line so that all of the seas become one piece. It connects with Joy Boy and Noah, Sanji's dream of finding All Blue, Nami's goal of creating a map of the entire world, Brook finding Laboon, etc.
Throughout this entire series, protagonists are depicted being free while antagonists, even other pirate groups, restrict freedom. One Piece is something that will ensure the world becomes freer.

>that fucking horrible stream screenshot
Fuck off, cancer.
Raftel can't be empty can it?
Why not?
part of it has to be some way to spread the knowledge of the void century to the world, greg theorized that it's got something to with haki/voice of all things. The point is, what's gonna change if robin is the only one who knows about the void century, i think there has to be a moment similar to sugar going down in dressrosa for the entire world
Well because why wouldn't the government know where to find Raftel? If they didn't rely on poneglyphs then they should have a method of getting there. Why would that method be lost all of a sudden? If they relied on poneglyphs then due to Wano making them it's impossible for them to know about Raftel's exact whereabouts. Wano protected itself from the Government successfully unlike Shandora. Even then, pretty sure Shandora protected the poneglyph, it just lost so many people. Meaning that Raftel should still have civilians untouched.
I know the whole talk with Clover and the Gorosei imply that there used to be an ancient kingdom, but it doesn't make sense to me.
A poneglyph with some kind of line of succession that leads to Luffy being the legitimate king of the world
Nah, that wouldn't fit the theme of "inherited dreams". If Luffy becomes the king of the world it couldn't be due to heritage.
I would actually prefer if the D. never gets fully explained. I'd like it to be just some kind of mystery that pops up throughout history, people with the D. in their name just tend to be very strong willed people with a huge passion for something, because they inherited the will of D. I would really hate it if they are all just related to one another in the end as some kind of ancient race of superhumans or whatever.
I mean, doesn't it imply that as D is given through birth?
At this point, whatever the One Piece is will disapoint the readers
only the guys who are always disappointed
>It can easily be knowledge.
The One Piece isn't knwoledge since Oda said that it is a physical object
Yeah, but the families can't possible all be related. I mean, one of them is a fucking giant.
Do the girls know that he did experiments on children?
Where did he say that?
why would you spoil it :'(
im going to take a guess the op is some kind of gold medallion that makes you immortal and super strong
Raftel is where Christ died. One Piece is one piece of the Vera Crux.
they don't care he pays
Oda: Yes, I already decided on how it’s going to end. Should I tell you now?
Sakura: …. Well, I want to know, but I probably shouldn’t. BUT, the One Piece, it’s not something like “the growth your heart went through”, right?
Oda: Hahaha, no no, I won’t be pulling off some kind of Wizard of Oz thing like that. After having gone through an adventure like that, it wouldn’t be fair to not actually give them a reward.

My theory: Rayleigh, Shanks, Buggy, and all surviving Roger Crew members know what One Piece is. One Piece has some kind of element of a burden. Whatever it is, it would ensure someone the title of the Pirate King, but it would be at some great cost, which is why none of the former crew members care to go after it. That, or it is only understood by someone with a pure heart, which is why Buggy might know of it, but wouldn't associate whatever it is with One Piece.
>it's actually a single coin
>it was here all along
Give me your honest opinions guys, do you actually think Don could win?
The treasure of the journey and self discovery =^)
It's One Piece, maybe some human woman once used the gomu fruit to have a child with a giant
Too busy snorting cocaine off his dick to care.
Why does Luffy becomes more obnoxious the more the manga goes on? Peak Luffy is Arlong Park/Alabasta Luffy.
Alright good
I guess.
Is there a Oil Oil logia fruit?
There should first be a spider spider logia fruit.
Shoutout to based drawanon arigato for bringing the two loveliest women together
Raftel is a spaceship, and OP is a piece of the full world.
the treasure is the friendship they made
It's a shame that thread is about to die, I wanted more art
Why would it be a logia is wax was a paramecia?
I hope I die before it's revealed because no matter what, it will never be as good as many of the theories
is jaiminis dead? 1 week passed and still no chapter
No chapter this week.
I think someone made an OC named Luther, a flamboyant rear lieutenant of the marines who ate the Oil Oil fruit.
Easy.
WAN PISU
But have y'all ever seen what was on the Oro Jackson?
We all may have seen Uranus already, but just a small glimpse of it though.
In the special chapter 0 and the movie Strong World, you can see this large egg-looking object sitting in plain sight on the Oro Jackson.
Shiki even addressed Roger as possessing a catastrophic weapon and that if he allied with him they could conquer the world. Honestly, there's a large possibility he was referring to this large object in his possession.
and to my knowledge, the only catastrophic weapons are the ancient weapons. (and we've already seen 2 of them, or at least know Shirahoshi has a supernatural power to control Sea-kings and that Pluton was a battle-ship of sorts)
Now, what if, the One Piece DOES include some treasure left behind by Roger and in that treasure there would be another thing he would've left behind on Raftel: That large egg-like object.
What if this is Uranus? Poseidon controls the monsters of the sea, and Pluton can level landmasses. Uranus is associated with the sky, so if the object was indeed an egg could it likely be a creature that "supposedly" doesn't exist: A Dragon. An eastern dragon to be specific, since they're known to control weather.
The dragons on Punk Hazard were artificially made by Vegapunk so they don't count, and Ryu from the warship island arc is considered Non-Canon since it was the first filler arc and didn't follow the events of the manga at the time. That is also solidified as Zoro confirming/contradicting later on in Punk Hazard that he didn't believe in dragons.
Roger only escaped Shiki when a storm prevented Shiki from pursuing. If the egg was still developing, maybe the weather was thrown out of wack because of this. This would also make sense as to why Raftel is considered difficult to find and travel to.
A giant boat and one piece is a bomb
>Raftel
Atlantis
Because by the time they all got to Raftel, the egg would've already hatched. But by then, shanks and buggy would've departed from the crew (since they apparently have no knowledge of what's on Raftel)
Also, it would make sense for the dragon to have been left on Raftel. Eastern dragons (derived from chinese mythology) are said to be KEPT with burial treasure. Roger was dying anyways, so everything he left on Raftel could've been considered as burial treasure.
And since he could hear the voice of all things, he could communicate with the dragon and possibly command it to wait until somebody worthy of everything he left behind would arrive. Possibly uncovering the true history behind the Void Century and every other mystery (Will of D, Joy Boy, Ancient Kingdom, etc.)
I think one piece is an item that takes away people's life force. It's probably what was killing Roger. He turned himself in because he had little time left anyways.
It might be a power source or something. I sure hope it's baried under ground with a big fucking x on top
So One Piece is Big Mom?
Welcome to the overarching dragons lore theories friend. Only the truly enlightened are able to see.
One Piece is the collective consciousness of everyone and everything in the world. An all encompassing observation haki that gives you omniscience. I would not be surprised if it had ties to the other haki as well.
>But have y'all ever seen what was on the Oro Jackson?
go back
I think it's something more lighthearted, like the world's largest collection of food = biggest OP feast/celebration.
or an entire island made entirely of gold and treasure.
This turned into a mega theory thread fast
He said it was a physical thing. My guess after Oda told the dying little boy what one piece was little boy cried and said it was beautiful.
Maybe it's an item capable of bringing people together. Or its an item to set off a string of relations throughout the grand line. Destroying Fishman island, destroying the red line, creating the all blue, forces water 7 to become pluton, and so on and so on. It's really made to create a whole new world where everyone is on equal ground. If black beard gets it he'll do the same only destroy the world and make more chaotic like an apocalyptic nightmare. I think one piece is a trigger that sets all these things in motion.
Why would Roger do this, because the person who finds one piece has mastered the world and now gets tp create a new world of adventure.
Well it was that in the first place.
A devil fruit that takes people's life force
I'm talking tin foil hats and x files theme song
YO-HO-HO HE TOOk A BITE OF GUM-GUM
>Uranus is associated with the sky
Uranus literally IS the sky.
Big mom has that fruit so this is bunk
Well I wouldn't doubt that this is why big mom was so powerful. There maybe a relation to them, but look at Black Beard, he also can steal powers. Though big mom could only take one that we know so far. I'm curious if you can simply take other people's powers simply by eating them.
Think about it, you can soak devil fruit juice into weapons. Maybe eating something that contains the fruits power but not the devil is possible.
One piece is gonna be a transponder snail that plays the one piece 4kids theme song
No i mean a fruit that eats people
I want to believe
Back in 2007 one of Oda's editors spilled the beans about some important plot points.
Namely that the "D" initial is not a letter but its a half moon. Remember how Oda said in that interview "Read it as a "D" or "The letter D" for now.
Those with the initial D are meant to be descendants of the moon people, hence luffys wings right here and why he's closing -One of his eyes- to signify the half moon.
I forgot a majority of the information but it's out there, something to do with the void century.
raftel : an island
one piece : a treasure
Welcome to mythology 101
Spooky trips
Thanks?
Oh... not another japanese characters are from the moon again...
How does someone get the D name anyways? Were people just naming their kids d for no reason?
It has to do with them being descendants from the moon people, so possibly a family thing I guess. But the idea was for them to be able to escape the Government by staying in hiding or something.
D could also stand for disaster
What if these were criminals of the Moon and the D stood for disaster so people knew they were criminals from the Moon.
I don't think the idea is for the D to stand for a word. It just would seem off to me for a japanese manga(Yes I know Pirates are a western theme) to have a middle name be an English word.
>"Monkey" D Luffy
The monkey is clearly a reference to Dragonball if that wasn't obvious enough. Having more to do with Luffy himself than anything else. And of course his Garp and Dragon were created -after- Luffy.
D is for Danger
Yeah the monkey part is from Goku and also Journey to the West basically it's another characterization of The Monkey King
I actually like to think that Buggy and Shanks were left off for the trip so that they wouldn't be spoiled. Reason being that they were pirates in training so they didn't want those two to have nothing to look forward to in their pirate lives.
What if Blackbeard shows up to kill big mom and steal her devil fruit.
