To understand the appeal of 2D, you need to understand the issues with 3D.
3D women are noisy. They nag. They're needy. They take advantage of you. And they judge you.
2D women do none of this. They will never hurt you. They will never leave you. And they require nothing beyond what you can provide.
Certain ideals are subjective with regards to 2D. But these aspects are the ones that are inalienable.
