what makes phos so interesting besides the paradox?

since this manga has a hard on for subverting expectations what unexpected plot twists can you think up of
i’ll start
>phos’ discarded arms&legs make new phos’ that’ll go against Laphos
Next chapter when?
this friday so you can cancel all of your real life plans
Phos as a character handled PTSD surprisingly well, in my opinion. My heart actually ached for them with their flashbacks to antarc.
You wife is a traitor and brobably has human in her eye
even evil phos!
LaPhos acts for nothing other than the betterment of gem kind. And i hope i can put a little more human inside her
Moon technology will find a way
am i the only one who likes this douche?
No i like him, really hope he doesn't turn out to be a true villain.
with the way things are going he looks like a character that we’re supposed to sort of sympathize with, and i doubt ichikawa would take away the symbolism from that but she’s always doing something new so who knows
Tell me, why is he embarrassed about his name?
Is it safe to say this is Phos’ fall from grace? It’s pretty scary how from away they are from their former self and how easy they were ready to betray Sensei
*ascension to new heights
But otherwise, yes.
Aechmea is a type of flower and the greek word from which it comes from means spear, so figure it out from there.
>spear
Okay so, I think we need to address something
Moonies totally have sex, right? Do you think Phos got a tour of the orgy room? Or do they have the desire but are unable to do anything about it?
Torso except the butt
everyone on the moon fucks rigorously except prince because he wants his virginity to be taken by sensei
Sensei is only for Professor.
The moonies should teach the gembutts how to do it.
Shouldn't the chinese TL be out by now?
IIRC last time we had it in the night between 20th and 21st
where are the leaks?
Reminder that phos is the true villian of the story.
reminder that phos’ “evil” actions only stem from his humanlike curiousity and desire to learn about the world
rarity.
are moonies b-boys?
>desire to learn about the world
which stems from Sensei giving her the encyclopedia task.
If that didn't happen, Phos would have kept being the useless gem she's been for 300 years already
But desire causes suffering, and thus is evil
I like him too, plus he is really handsome.
He is going to be the closest thing to a villain for the series unless a true ningen appears.
...
They're just as much boys as the gems are.
delete this right now
Anyone got the drive through "friends broken" meme?
My wife LaPhos is cute
...
He is one beautiful charming man, I don't think anyone can take that away from him
>flowing locks, exposed chest and light clothing
>pulled back hair and suit for a romantic dinner
>casual, unkept and shirtless look while crafting
>doctor glasses look
I'm a guy but I'd fangirl over him, no homo
Why do you love Bortz user?
I like the whole "villain invites you for dinner" relationship he has with Phos.
Goddammit I just realized than all the lunarians are fucking traps.
Not sure about the whole digging out your eyeball with a fork thing he has going on, but otherwise he's okay.
No, why would you think that shit. At most they are all smooth down there like the gems.
Girls with greasy hair are the best.
I, too, want to fuck a jellyfish
All your favorite gems will turn to dust all thanks Phos
Which version of Phos do you prefer?
What's the paradox? You mean dysmorphism?
Shinsha kills LaPhos and brings back OG Phos.
Can I post guri translations or should I try to avoid the mods?
Last thread was guri and it got pruned
op probably meant the ship of theseus paradox
Probably that's why nobody prayed for them.
Wow I'm dumb. Thanks user.
Stupid Phos wants to make others happy but doesn't understand enough or have enough skill to do it.
LaPhos has the smarts and skills, and because of it, gets too caught up in grandiose schemes to make anyone happy.
Why has this series in particular attracted such a shitty "general culture"
You're that salty mod aren't you
Don’t bother I posted some guri... did not lost too long
i knew rutile was best
I blame Tumblr and SU fags, a shame because I really like HnK
Please gib LaPhos gf.
>implying there are any tumblrfags here
They all think this is pedo garbage and can't appreciate Buddhism
I'm here for the great art and to shill the qst
also everyone please give me many images for the shinsha jinja
Because the OP says "general" and "edition".
Oh wait no it doesn't, the OP has nothing to do with a shows fanbase.
No, don't waste posts with a picdump, find your images yourself
"Don't waste posts", he says, being the only person to have posted in ten minutes.
What's the likelihood that Padparadscha is a synthetic gem? I feel like that explains why it's so hard to fix old Pads
I can also see Ichikawa making that one of Pads' reasons for not wanting to be fixed
why is melon so best?
thenaturalsapphirecompany.com
it's not that they're fake, they're just super fucking rare
when is the next chapter?
guri?
Okay, so it's more along the lines that Padparadscha lost pieces, and it's really hard for Rutile to find good replacements
yep, precisely. iirc when phos went to show rutile the ruby they found, rutile's reaction was more along the lines of "thanks this should help cause it is very close to what paddy needs"
What did the moonies want with the Admirabilis again?
Land of the Euclase
Something that always felt weird to me: When they attached Lapis' head to Phos' body, I assumed it would be Lapis waking up with Phos' body, and with Phos' head on the moon, that would be the plot device the mangaka used to give us a closer look at the moon people.
Instead it's the other way around.
So, was it simply because Phos' part has more mass than that of Lapis'? How do you determine who will wake up? Or was it just plain old plot hole/convenice?
Well, Phos' inclusions are said to be especially adaptable, and they occupied more of the body, so they would probably take over the head more likely than Lapis' inclusions can do otherwise.
Gem memories and personalities seem to be stored more or less uniformly throughout their bodies. Nothing special about the head.
>Letting bad fanbases dictate your enjoyment of things
I will never ever understand this attitude.
Is it because I'm perfectly fine with people not liking shit I like?
It seems they lose almost nothing relevant which is just amazing storytelling isnt it.
>whos shinsha? oh nevermind I remember it now
Whats even the point of it?
Phos' inclusions won out? I mean even with just the torso its still more than the head, and even though the arms and legs weren't Phos originally they sure are now, that's an entire body vs a head. There was musings that maybe changing their composition could affect their personality, but this is the first time a different live set of inclusions was mixed in, and based on the dreams and the change in personality they didn't necessarily lose entirely anyways, they are coexisting, and surely the head doesn't have enough to carry the entirety of Lapis so it won't revive her in Phos' body
Generally it's been implied throughout the manga since early on that Phos has unusually powerful or large inclusions. Her inclusions have been established as having a greater ability to adapt and adopt homes in a wider range of minerals of varying properties for this reason.
I think they more or less combined, but since Phos had more, Phos remained dominant.
Maybe they were involved in the human experiments?
lapis lazuli is still there, but phos is the "driver". Phos is still phos in personality but gained some perception and skill from lapis.
It fucked her over when she lost the entire ocean trip. She'd probably still be fumbling for leads if the snails hadn't been incestuous.
And I think she actually did forget Shinsha there, its just that she spent so much time dwelling on her that she's built up redundant memories. She could forget that entire first encounter, but still remember a different one, or a time she sat on a bench and thought about the thing she forgot, but now roughly remembers because she remembers remembering.
The previous thread got archived before I could respond, so I'll answer here (regarding why Amethyst wanted to go tho the moon).
Here she talks about how, because of their dependency on each other, the possibility of being separated on the moon forcefully scares her the most. To prevent that, she wants to somehow probe into that separation in a safe way so that she wouldn't be as depended on the other and would be prepared if such a situation actually occurred in the future.
Phos going to the moon and coming back made Amethyst consider doing the same since it could help with the dependency issue.
There are clear differences between male and female moonies.
Ignore the fag in the middle.
>Pads cheating on Rutile with Aechmea
I never thought about it like that, but Rutile must feel supremely cucked to find that the partner he has spent hundreds of years and thousands of attempts on trying to fix, managed to get fixed with a single trip to the moon.
same artist drew these
...
Is that supposed to be a diamond dildo or a diamond fleshlight?
Diamond gemlight
>I think she actually did forget Shinsha there
I agree, memories are weird like that and it took her a second to find it back. With so much spread across there's bound to be a link here and there which I think Lapis was getting at, and with how much Phos did around Cinnabar it'd be hard to forget, even if she forgets the specifics.
Its also worth noting that despite being conscious for only a bit over a year as far as the story goes, she increasingly considers her older self a separate person and more distant, can't fathom being so carefree or understand what she was thinking back then, even though she spent 300 years as that person, and only recently just started changing. She almost seems like she was born after Antarc's death, or even later, even though the before and after are what made her who she is today, she's definitely fuzzy about her past self. Also when she remembers the Admirablis story she just says it doesn't seem weird or new to her, not that she suddenly has the entire incident remembered.
Okay, that is funny and cute.
gemstone hole is the translation
Well, the moonies had to get the resources for human synthesis from somewhere, right? There are no organic materials on the moon, and the only other alternatives on Earth are jellyfish and insects. But why go for those when there are direct descendants of humanity available?
>overworked doctor collapsed from exhaustion atop their terminally ill patient/former partner
that is neither funny nor cute, what is wrong with you user?
having trouble finding source, are they on twitter?
I can't wait....new chapter in 3 days
Not to get your hopes up, but the leaks for chapter 62 were on the 22nd and for 63 on the 20th.
