How are you enjoying this show so far? I think it's the AOTS along with Yuru Camp.

Yeah but how do you really feel?
Really mediocre, it shows the director is a hack.
But why Antarctica of all places?
Really great, AOTS for me along with Koi wa Ameagari no you ni.
It's really great
The pyramids there are one of the last unsolved secrets of the earth.

Who doesn't want to go to Antarctica do to some Rei searching? Geez, user.
It turning out to be decent came out of leftfield; I'm really enjoying it.

It's hard to choose the AOTS when there's only a few episodes, so people pick a few potential candidates. Their opinions may change throughout the season, and they'll only know for sure towards its end.
Not even the best Madhouse anime airing now.
Has there been a thread for this anime that didn't start with AOTS flame war bait?
yes
Oh okay
>this one guy who gets triggered as fuck in every Sora Yori thread simply because someone states the objective fact that it's aoty
>Has there been a thread this season that didn't start with AOTS flame war bait?

I think it has some of the best episodes so far this season but AoT? Only idiots count their chickens before they watch. You should be reserving judgement.
This is the only thread for a show up right now that starts with it though.
I was surprised by it. First episode was a little rough, I didn't like main girls design or antarctica girls motivations, but after three episodes and I actually like it quite a lot. Show has a great sense of "fun" and not the "turn-my-brain-off-look-at-pretty-pictures-fun" but actual childhood fun of just messing around with friends and having new experiences. I'm getting some strong K-On vibes, but I hope this show does more than just settle into the slice-of-life stuff. I'm hoping for a real adventure and I hope the show can continue to surprise me.
I like it, but it's still overrated normalfag shit. It's clearly a drama and targeted at millennial hipsters who don't normally watch cute girl shows.
I dropped it, because I don't like how the writing is being handled, and I dislike the director. I agree about Yuru Camp, though. Lots of great shows this season.
This.
It's harkening back to old heroic age of antarctic exploration, the last real age of adventurers.
My favourite story of that time is that of the Endurance. If you are interested in old timey adventures you should read the wikipedia article or watch the documentary on youtube.
>It's harkening back to old heroic age of antarctic exploration, the last real age of adventurers.
Yeah, having your rich friend's mom take you on a charter cruise to see some glaciers seems like a real adventure.
...
>Yeah having some rich king charter you three ships sure feels like an adventure
Unless they are going on a ship from to the early 1900s with little to no electronics and they aren't going to a research station then it isn't harkening back to anything.
Mine is the Terra Nova Expedition
I'm enjoying it because it's a little more complex than yuru camp but just as cute.
I like it a lot, all the girls are fun to watch and I like the premise of the show
It boggles my mind when this board praises trigger when madhouse pretty much never released a shit animu. Truly the patrician studio.
I love the chemistry between the characters, they play off of each other so well.
This alone makes it a very good contender for AOTS imo
They've actually released a lot of shit anime. The Marvel and DC Comics adaptations come to mind.
It's the main AOTS contender right now, but I'd wait until the end of the show.
Fatty
In all the right places.
Midget
They had better spend a good portion of the show in Antarctica for it to be AOTS. If they blueball us on Antarctica then I won't forgive them.
I'm sure they will get there, but I'm more concerned as to what they will do when they get there. Penguins and science are pretty much the only things on the whole continent.
Try to look for Shirase's mother for a while until drama ensues.
>Little did we know, Antarctica was in our hearts all along.
>The End

All of these girls are very attractive.
Oh fuck right off.
The first two episodes were OK, but the third felt weak. Young idols can have extremely crappy childhood due to not having time for normal social stuff (not counting the rape/sexual harassment), but I don't think it was properly shown in this episode. Maybe show more stuff like she having to ditch her friends due to work, always somewhere recording something, taking pictures, etc. If the episode had shown more of her loneliness, her reaction in the end would have been much stronger and the scene would have been more rewarding.
I disagree. I think enough was shown to get the point across. I actually thought they dragged it out a little too much. The conflict was already pretty obvious early on and I just ended up waiting for the final scene when they would all become friends.
if they die in Antarctica it would be enjoyable, but somehow they're going to live so it will be bad.
That's definitely showed enough, from since kindergarted she has to leave school in the middle of the day to work, she cant take pictures with her friends, and she cant hang out with them either because shes busy all the time.
I dunno how much more time they need to waste to get the point across to you.
My dick is eagerly awaiting tomorrow's episode.
The thing is that I felt that it needed to be narrated less and shown more. Maybe the problem to me was not the quantity of time, but the lack of impact from her memories. The flashback scenes on the family restaurant show her envying the other children, but I didn't see loneliness. It could be something simple, like she breaks down for a moment during work or something like that.
The three other girls worried about her were done quite well, only the idol herself felt lacking. It felt like an easy solution for all the group's problems.
I'm dead inside, thanks for asking.
It's called characterization user, Yuzuki doesnt break down from being alone, as shown by her pokerface when her friends leave her LINE group. Her lack of reaction is perfect evidence of how used she is to it, and makes the actual breaking down when her newfound friends reach out to her and don't give up on her all the more powerful
Only one more day to go. I highly recommend watching this youtube.com
God I love sundogs.
It literally showed us everything though flashback scenes, or the texts om her phone, I have no clue what you're talking about claiming they narrated too much and didn't show enough.
Also, shes a calm professional person shes not going to have a mental breakdown at work like you want her to, now that would just be shitty and overblown.
It's not about actually digging up a corpse, it's about seeing what her mother saw and getting a sense of closure.
Which are sexier, the yurus or the yoris?
The Yurus have sexier pubic hair.
How is that even a question?
Nice. Interesting take. But I still feel that there should have been some consequence to her isolation. It could even be through a visual metaphor, objects in her room, etc. Something to be more impactful.
Show, don't tell.
>Also, shes a calm professional person
We barely know her.
...
I love Hinata!
...
How can you not?
Sora yori thread doesn't feel right if someone doesn't post this. The (possibly hollow) part never fails to make me laugh.
>idol girl acts calm and professional when faced with adversity
>The show isn't showing me anything about this character. There needs to be a big sign or something.
Of course. Don't leave the hollow earthers behind
Thats exactly what I'm saying. It showed us eveything through the flashbacks and the phone messages. They didn't tell, they showed. I don't know how you're not getting this.
Also they showed how calm she was through how she talked with the other girls upon asking them to take her place, and when they came to talk to her. Same for professionality through her speech, the flashback to her doing it as a child which means she has lots of experience, and showing how she managed to stay on top of her schoolwork.
This and Yuru Camp are basically total opposite ends of the "hardcore" spectrum, but they're oddly similar in how they're both CGDCT by first impression but have full plot continuity and progression rather than isolated episodes.

Yama no YoriCamp tomorrow.
She narrated throughout almost all of the flashback and blurted out the conflict that would solve everything for the plot to get going. The problem to wasn't what was shown, but how it was shown.
You two think there was enough drama. I wanted a bit more. That's it.
Nice, we're slowly getting there.
I want to fuck these caterpillars.
I want it to be Tuesday.

AOTS.
Sorry, posted this in the wrong thread.
*in the right thread
I can't write for shit today, sorry.
More drama would have honestly killed it. I thought episode 3 was the weakest so far due to how it dragged out and to hammer the nail further down would have made it border on soap opera bullshit. I'm actually on the side of with the scene of the "friends" leaving the LINE group. That was actually pretty nicely done and it complemented the flashback parts pretty amazingly.
tomorrow tomorrow, i love you tomorrow, you're always a day away~
This anime is pretty good, but AOTS good. As a certified anime reviewer, let me clarify to you what the best anime of the season are:
>AOTS tier
Yuru Camp, a solid 9/10
>8/10 tier
Hakumei to Mikochi
Antarctica
>7/10 tier
Märchen Mädchen
Takagi san
Franxx
6/10 tier
Violet Evergarden
ugly character designs and art
These
>he doesn't have deeply rooted issues about how he spent his youth
why are you here
>he doesn't have deeply rooted issues about how he spent his youth
why are you here
same.
>muh plot
Easily some of the worst characters of the season. They are cliches and have hideous designs. The writer also loves melodrama, so hope you're looking forward to more of that.
Reminder not to reply to the shitposter
Remind yourself not to make shitty bait threads if you need a safespace so badly.
Definitely my AOTS, it's unexpectedly great.
It's actually pretty mediocre. It really pales compared to a lot of other shows this season. You should watch more anime.
All me, btw.
...
Oh right, this too.
The other three were me, but that one isn't. It turns out more than one person doesn't like this show. Shocking stuff, I know.
The girls are alright.
