We finally got the FMP! sequel everyone was waiting for since 2005.
Can't wait to see the reaction to Chidori's death once again.

Nah, S1 really screwed up most of the action and most of the time you just wish for it to end so you can go back to their school shenanigans.
It's the whole reason why Fumoffu exists.

The Second Raid has less action and less school shenanigans than both of the previous seasons. In fact there's next to no shenanigans in this new season since they're skipping Dancing Merry Christmas

The second raid ruined FMP for me. The first season was pretty bad, but kinda charming. The second raid was just stupid and edgy. So im not hyped.

Character designs are extremely similar. Major difference is probably the line work for the hair as it seems somewhat simplified.

Mechs look really good beside maybe the Arbalest/helicopter crash cut. It's probably the low resolution but I can't even tell which of the remaining mecha cuts are 2D.

Different music producers. Previous seasons were done by Pony Canyon and current season is by Lantis. She did the SukaSuka insert songs and the FMP S1 compilation theme songs.

I think she retired a while ago.

I got it on the official site where they had a poll between running fumoffu and 2nd Raid in anticipation of the new show.

First halfway decent PV for FMP4. They've only shown footage from COMO though. Wonder if they'll have PVs for the other books

It’s also going to be playing in Shinjuku so marketing budget is fairly high.

The artstyle looks great and very very close to the old series, which is great.

Hope they won't skip on fanservice, it's been too many years since we got something new of the FMP girls

I'm actually impressed by how similar they were able to make it to 2nd Raid with adding just a tone of shading to make it appear passably modern, It will still look like a throwback but not a bad one.

The coloring is really good, which might be the most surprising thing for me. It’s like a mix of Fumoffu and TSR. It’s brighter than TSR but doesn’t feel as antiquated as Fumoffu.

Nope, I dropped Fumoffu after a few episodes. FMP franchise is kinda really overhyped. It's decent (6/10-ish), but not great. I think too many people who watched it back when it came out, still have their nostalgia goggle on.

All the 3DCG Mecha scene looks not that promising in PV3.
TSR did great job in 2d mecha battle,im a bit concerned.

Everyone knew that the new season will be mixed with 2d and 3d for the mecha. The only worrisome thing was which studio was going to do it.

When Xebec was announced to be the one doing it, people liked it because they know their stuff in regards to doing that stuff in mecha. So no. I don't think it sucks. It's just time for people to stop on the notion that mecha will be animated in 2d forever.
