Did everyone drop this already?
Basilisk - Ouka Ninpouchou
test
Did it work?
Nope, I'm still watching it, because it's ninjas that aren't Narutard-related.
Text posting, yes; image posting, no. This was with noscript disabled.
There's a Sup Forums thread claiming this Sup Forums problem is going on because someone is doing a large ddos attack on one of Sup Forums's image servers or some such.
Anyone else feel like this is almost a remake of the original Basilisk? The plot seems similar.
This new episode was stupid
The original didn't have anyone as overpowered as the time rewind guy. That's just dumb.
It's gonna be interesting to see what kind of asspull they'll pull out of their asses to kill off that guy.
What was the point of that anime again? I've already seen Basilisk, and it was a supreme work from legendary Gonzo, with an actual art and passion behind it.
And what is this secondary moeshit?
>secondary moeshit
If it was actually this, it'd be a better show.
He'll either be sniped or killed by eye hax.
>He'll either be sniped or killed by eye hax.
>eye hax
Dammit, if this becomes a thing in future ninja shows, that'll be another reason to hate Narutard shit.
>it was a supreme work from legendary Gonzo, with an actual art and passion behind it.
Nice bait
The anime was shit but considering the source material was a mediocre ninja Romeo and Juliet it was to be expected
I'm interested, but I have to watch original Basilisk first. I'll try to catch up in time.
It has implied wincest so I 'm keeping tabs on it.
Don't be in a hurry. This is 24 episodes long and likely not very good.
This show looks good i was wondering why no one was talking about it. Anyone care to explain?
Oh come on, it wasn't SO bad. I just find it hilarious that someone thought it would be a good idea to rehash Basilisk of all things. Can't have any even semi-original in the industry nowadays, no. I cannot wait for such gems as Samurai Deeper Kyou or Saikano to shine again. Because they left such a great impact the first time they came out, right? Right?
So what's his endgame?

Still watching it. It's kinda meh, it doesn't have the charm of the first one.
Which subs for the first series?
Is anyone actually doing this besides CR/HS?
I want floating eye guy and illusion girl to kill each other, with bad blood and hatred. It feels like the only reason to watch this. I don't like Iga and Kouga to be bffs, I want brutal clan warfare with over the top cruelty.
I'm watching it. Might as well, even though it's been well over a decade since I watched the first season. I hope we can go beyond an "everyone dies" ending this time.
Is there an option besides AS?
>future ninja shows

Did you even fucking watch the original Basilisk? Eyehax was a central feature, and the novel it's based on is forty years older than Naruto. Naruto took the eye hax from Basilisk, not the other way around, and I assume Basilisk just took it from folklore anyway.
i feel sort of eh on it. i'm not feeling engaged yet, sort of would prefer more political intrigue around the Shogun's court instead of incestuous siblings with magic eye powers.
> I just find it hilarious that someone thought it would be a good idea to rehash Basilisk of all things
It's probably less weird from a Japanese perspective, since the book is famous and is one of like fifty different Ninja Scroll books the guy wrote, so it wouldn't be that surprising for someone to make a tie-in. It seems random to us Westerners since we mostly just know him from the one anime series he got.
Not really, the original Basilisk started episode one with "You each choose ten people, whichever kills the other ten first wins, go." This is less rigid and seems to be playing up the mystery aspect, plus there's no Romeo and Juliet stuff going on.
If there is actual incest, I will fap furiously so it'd be nice if they deliver on that front at least.
We had that the first season. I would like to see something different this time personally.
I’m actually rewatching Samurai Deeper at the moment haven’t watched it since it aired. It is pretty fucking generic and nothing happens. When I was a kid I probably enjoyed it well enough but it’s pretty boring. Also I hate anime where the fights always end in a single move, every time he starts a fight he just whips out his swords and shoots a laser killing his enemy instantly.
