Act-Age (Chapter 001) (VIZ)

Didn't like it but I acknowledge that is a bit fresh, though a lot of nips already did the subject on a lot of less popular magazines..

Should be interesting to see where it goes, but I can’t tell who the MC is between actress and director.

Not bad

Mhhmm yeah, the initial premise hold a lot more potential than the usual battle shonen or high school rom-com, but it will all depend on how well the mangaka steer the plot. Still can't really like the director design, that design scream ntr-guy

Oh I need to read this

>their faces look all the same
like in every other manga

Just realized that I fucked up all spread pages by 1 pixel, sorry ;_; I give all the single page on the DDL though

I always wanted to read a manga about Genderbent Daniel Day Lewis

by chapter ten she'll have an oscar

Done.

as much as I like having a girl as MC; isn't this more like Shoujo-manga material?

An actually interesting manga? I'll give it less than 20 chapters.

It's me or did director cut ties with the agency after rejecting MC again?

I like her antenna and the first chapter.

kek suspension of disbelief shattered like glass, this is melodramatic as fuck

remind me of something...

I'm glad it wasn't a romcom like some were guessing

Kind of nervous something could develop between her and the director, age-gap creeps me out

>age-gap creeps me out

why are you here, user? wait, this is Sup Forums, right?

> just an act

damn that's really scary

>her sense of fantasy versus reality is too fuzzy
>her little bro and sis are suddenly there as a hallucination
girl needs a psychiatrist

>age-gap creeps me out
I like age gap romances, but it won't happen in Jump.

Jump has like softcore porn in it
as long as it sells they don't give a fuck

That's why that superfluous blonde guy is around. He's only 2 years older.

Despite this being shonen, he reminds me of the usual asshole shojo love interest with his selfish cold demeanor.

Really wondering why Shueisha thinks this would be a good fit for Weekly Jump.

Kill yourself you piece of shit.

I want to hope, but at the same time I don't want to be disappointed.

There are two ways this can go:
>develop into a harem
>end after ten chapters
This first chapter was okay, but I don't feel any staying power from it.

>16 year old orphan who attends school fulltime and works part time jobs of which she currently does not have, is legally allowed to look after her grade school aged younger siblings instead of them being taken by social services
Is this just because it's manga or this is fine in Nipland?

You make me hate Westerner people, kill yourself.

Thus was okay but I'm not seeing how it can go beyond being a oneshot.

That was pretty autistic, but the writing's much much better than regulat jump stuff nowadays, how weird. Feels like it's in the wrong magazine.

There is something wrong with how the main heroine looks but I can't pinpoint it
I think it's the humongously long necks

What's the deal with poorfag imoutos recently?

Maybe they're trying to do something new, just like Kodansha with WSM last year. Runway ended up being nominated for Manga Taisho, after all.

so did Neverland

Yeah. It's also a bit unusual, although it's been running for so long I forget about it.

Neverland, Dr. Stone, and now Act-Age
Jump isn't exactly afraid to take risks so much as it's rare for the readers to reward them for it

i'd put in hinomaru there too. its content isn't out of the ordinary out of what's expected in a sports manga but jump has kept shoveling support onto it despite zero growth in 4 years

the anime will help HZ

do you live
do you die
do you bleed
for the fantasy

it isn't shonen-like, at least what you would expect from Jump, seems interesting but I give it 12 chapters, I hope being wrong, this can take interesting turns, most of the cast being able to fake out emotions can make for some juicy drama and we already know the feMC has potential to be a nutcase if they want to take that route, overall I liked it

This doesn't belong to this magazine at all.
