3-Gatsu is the only decent show this season

Not him, but I'd consider Takunomi, Slow Start, Hakumei to Mikochi, Yuru Camp, Mitsuboshi Colors, and Ramen Daisuki Koizum-san to all be CGDCT. Sora Yori is a drama, like Hibike Euphonium.

It's a refreshing change of pace from the normal comedies we get, and it has cool animation.

Which is even more surprising because Winter season usually is hot trash.

Issues with the writing of both shows aside, VE has much nicer art and animation. Both make too much use of post-processing effects to be honest.

VEG's art is 90% really blurry, dark extreme close-ups. It feels like I'm watching a shitty found footage horror movie most of the time, which is really wierd in such a boring drama. And it honestly doesn't have that much animation, or use it to good effect. Sora Yori actually looks good, with striking cinematography, beautiful environments and expressive character animation.

Whether you find the ideas interesting, whether you think the characters and dialogue are fun are obviously subjective. But the other things I mentioned are all just factual. They can be measured and compared regardless of opinion. You can look at the amount of detail in two drawings, and make an objective statement that one has more detail than another. I actually don't understand how you can deny this.
