Looks pretty good.

Based Netflix.
Looks like cheesy action from 90th. I need more of this

I don't mind this new netflix
>lose a load of shows
>fuck it let's fund chinese cartoons

netflix are ourguys, they are making anime great again

They're doing some great work.
What did they loose anyways?

>lose a load of shows.

Thats less of what they deserve by doing reglocking.

Netflix can't keep getting away with.

THEY'RE KILLING THE MOE FRANCHISE WITH AMAZING SHOWS, ANIME IS DYING! WE NEED MORE MOE!

Will 2018 be the year the white man surpasses the japanese at being japanese?

What would happen if Japanese animation studios moved to the US, besides getting a much better salary, less censorship and bigger audience?

daily reminder ourgirl is hapa, the white man is invading japanese TV clay and taking over

no more moe, no more fanservice, and people with colorful hair would be unsufferable sjws

>Japanese studio with Japanese staff produces a Japanese cartoon
>Wow, amazing, Netflix does it again, West > East

DEBIRU MAAAAAN

Good looking PV, excited for this and the BONES original for Netflix.

The shilling is real.

What? They're just funding shows. Netflix literally part of Production Committee.
>less censorship and bigger audience

I have not confirmed, but I heard the lost most of disney owned movies or tv shows because disney is starting their own streaming service.

And yet, whenever Netflix's involved there's a noticeable increase in the overall quality

so what's their criteria for funding shows? at first I thought it was just gonna be wierd shit that no one would ever hear or think of so they can get first dibs like the neo yokio then they come out with devilman, and if im not wrong they're gonna come out with baki in march/april

would like to see
>big O s2
>medarot
>rest of eyeshield 21
>more bobobo-bobo-bobobo
>eureka 7 season 2

cause they're funding it?

Everyone is starting their own streaming service to get a slice of the pie. So they're getting freshly fucked every other day.

/thread

This is how it works in Japan. As I can see Netflix helps Committee to fund and promote shows that are "questionable" for pure profits.

American Funded With full creative freedom to Japs Animation. Exactly what i wanted

all shows are funded one way or another, yet funding is not synonymous with quality

I was excite for it, expecting a proper thriller about serial murderes and detective, but second trailer shown chuuni shit and shounen battles.

Dropped before it even aired.

FUCKEN BASED
youtube.com/watch?v=23Hovo63hp4
MAKE JAPAN AMERICA

Based Netflix saving anime

well then I can definitely see bobobo since it is a questionable show.
I mean AS did flcl

>all this netflix shilling
will gladly pirate if i ever consider picking up considering netflix's corporate and political agenda.

or maybe vampire hunter D?

Looks generic tryhard edge. Are there reasons to be excited?

>not being a parasite on someone else's account
level up

I am surprised Megalo Box is NOT Netflix

>its not entirely made of moeblobs and slice of life garbage so its tryhard edge

oh believe me I am, but I don't even want to give netflix traffic at this point.

Bless Netflix

just checked... it is Netflix. Netflix official savior of anime. All haters btfo.

youtube.com/watch?v=vzdrJFs1BrQ

I like the aesthetic.

Blend S is original netflix too, right ?

Doesn't rly look all that good, is it out yet?

not interested. It's gonna be hard for Netflix to top Devilman

But they already did with VEG

Am I the only one who feels like Netflix is bringing the old lost soul of anime back?

who is behind all the anti-netflix shilling, I wonder?

It is called OAV era, only now its ONA

Unironeclly me too.
I like manime and Netflix IS bringing that back

Moefags, they are afraid of the inevitable return of MANIME

This is great and all but i hope Netflix can survive with only Anime. Disney really hit them hard

Too bad Netflix will not fund tentacle porn OAVs. But at least Umetsu needs to get on Netflix train ASAP with his new Kita or whatever

Isn't Netflix like 2 billions in debt or something? and they seem to be losing content at an alarming rate.
Netflix is ded

If necessary it'll be saved by IQiyi. The main customer base of the future are Chinese anyway and not US. If Disney tries to dictate the rules on Chinese market it`ll simply get kicked out alltogether.

I can't stop watching Devilman and we're getting another great anime

>can't refute his point and settles for deflection
This shit literally looks like D. Gayman fanfiction gussed up as a murder mystery

Ironically Netflix funds western mainstream anime shows, while Chinese are saving anime from netflix by funding otaku/fujoshi/moe/"animeish" shows.

no, fuck you. dont you dare talk about DGM that way.

Agreed. I dont see Gay Men in B trailer, unline in fujoshi favorite D Gey Men and Yaoi Exorcist

Witcher TV? They want him to be big as GoT

This is going to be shit just like Terror in Tokyo.
That one had an amazing ost at least.

Witcher TV is not based on video game so will be shit. The novels are good, but i have zero trust in american producers able to capture genuine Witcher. Polish TV series was semi-decent.

>Witcher TV is not based on video game so will be shit
It will be shit because it is based on a videogame

>don't talk about my nonsensical dead in the water for years fujoshit like that
Kill yourself retard

Its because Netflix banks a lot on nostalgia, and what is the stuff the average millenial who grew up with anime thinks about when they hear anime? Edgy, stylish, sexual, violent, philosophical and adult anime like EVA, Ghost in the shell, Akira, cowboy bepop, all the late 80s etc. Thats the type of stuff Netflix wants their viewers to feel when they watch their originals.
Devilman was exactly that. So many people lamenting how they missed this boundary pushing side side of anime.

what are the best nettofurikisu animu out there?

>yaoi
>aoi
>aoi means blue
its legit.

No really, what's so great bout this? It's not like it'll be actual murder and detective story just typical superpowers edgyfucks doing shits 'secretly' in the background of society. Feels more like tokyo ghoul or whatever else such tripe.

If they wanted nostalgia, they should have made Urotsukidōji, not Devilman for which frankly, no one in west gives a damn

Only thing making Terror bad was this girl, 5, I believe and that they didnt go far enough with the story and its characters. They never dared to make them anything but good people. But the concept, animation, design, music etc were all pretty great.

Honestly, not counting anime, none of the other streaming services have as many quality originals as netflix does.
Not to mention they're wildly different most of the time as well.
I refuse to have a subscription to all these different services, it's literally turning into cable TV except more expensive.

>Urotsukidōji
I honestly don't see Netflix funding 12 episodes of tentacle rape

if you watch this scene again, you can see kukkun didnt take drugs. PURE till the end

>Dude we are terrorist but we don't kill anyone!
>They set off a fucking hydrogen bomb over Tokyo and miraculously no one gets killed
Its a shame because animation and ost were great.

Well its more about the feeling of ultra violence than the Devilman franchise per se. But mostly, Devilman is a big deal in japan. Devilman was certainly not picked for western audiences. The amount of advertising netflix did in japan was quite unprecedented.

next AOTY

btw is violet evergarden good?

It`ll be shit. It not great to begin with. It just stands out above generic stream.

>btw is violet evergarden good?
It is not right now, but will be.

This is actual AOTY contester

It wasn't even that big during the ultra violence era.
t. oldfag.

They are looking at 90's and trying to replicate successful anime from back then. Somehow they don't realize that times changed.

Those shows will be loved by manime fags crying about death of anime industry since 2001 but flop horribly in Japan. Just like Space Dandy and other similar crap.

It's anime for western normalfags.

Anime industry in China is growing at insane rate. Today the entire industry makes 18b $ a year. It's predicted that anime industry in China will be worth 21b $ in few years.

We may literally see anime becoming bigger than Hollywood.
