A slow start as characters get introduced. Most episodes are sorta stand-alone, but there's still some continuity as the series goes. The same goes for the longer arcs.

Most of the series is comedic, but the genre and tone changes a lot between the arcs. Lots of great action and drama in the serious arcs.
