Koi wa Ameagari no You ni

Why haven't you picked this show up yet, Sup Forums?

But I did! And I love it very much!

Not everyone can handle the purity of this love.

I have, it's average.

gosh, I still haven't finished patlabor

Better get to it then.

mfw new episode tomorrow and new chapter on Saturday.

I can't wait. Whether the relationship goes romantic or stays platonic, I don't mind either.

I am sure Kondo will give Akira an umbrella as Christmas gift.

Do you remember? He looked at umbrellas while he was doing shopping with Yuto. So, he will give her a Christmas gift for sure. I can't wait!

Masami's ex-wife is so fucking cute holy shit.

That would be sweet. Hopefully there will be at least one Valentine's Day chapter too with more cute agonizing over gifts.

Under that umbrella would be a good place for a first kiss to happen.

I'm glad they didn't follow the old trope of the ex being a massive evil cunt.

Fun fact: she looks younger than Akira

Reminder not to respond to insane exwifeposter. Or any Yoshizawaposters.

That said, I agree. I wonder if it's just the art style or whether the mangaka intended them to resemble each other a little. They have really similar eyes.

Not into girls that pleasure old men for money

Well, what would be wrong if Masami ended up with Midori? It would be cute. Yoshizawa shit would be forced tho, I admit it. I like MasamixAkira but I like MasamixMidori too. Imagine if we get some flashbacks about their first meeting, marriage and stuff. So cute.

What if she pleasures him for love?

Not yuri, who wants to watch a man and a woman doing shit?

>roasties

Because young girl x old man is disgusting

Please don't let me alone user. I want to enjoy a bit of conversation with some real fan of this series. It's not so popular here, sadly.

In her dreams. She should try offering him money.

Next ep is going to bring the NTR shitposters unfortunately due to the blackmail "date".

Good lord, why is she so thirsty? How would sex between these two be like?

Don't ruin this thread. She is in love.

...

Probably pretty awkward.
I'd imagine that Masami would probably get a little too into it, making Akira a bit uncomfortable. There would be that cliche exchange of words that you see in hentai all the time.
>Are you okay!?
>As long as it's you I'm fine.
or
>You don't have to swallow it...
>It's yours so it's okay
Or something to that effect.
Either way, Akira will probably be in tears while it's happening.

What is she eating?

Hesitant but loving with full-body blushing, practically endless foreplay with lots of kissing, and hand-holding with interlaced fingers the whole time.

But what does it smell like?

He'd stop halfway before penetration because he'd realize that it isn't right.
That and he'd see too much of his ex-wife in Akira.

Humble man's work sweat.

Sweat, kitchen grease, cigarette smoke, and cologne.

Sandwich

Like her future husband.

Like Yoshizawa?

no thanks

In the latest untranslated chapters I found Akira chan sadder than usual. It looks like her depression linked to running became deeper.

She seems pretty happy in the lastest chapter. But yeah I see what you mean.

Awkward is good but Akira's wanted him so badly and for so long, her pinning him to the bed and looking deep into his eyes as she rides him until he begs for mercy seems more likely.

Do we know the full story and the events that lead to the divorce between Kondou and his ex-wife?

In the latest chapter she is relaxing herself around Kondo. But deep inside she is really depressed lately. Way more depressed than in the first or middle chapters.

He touches a bit upon it and blames himself, but we haven't got the full story yet.

Basically, I got the feeling she is starting to be more aware about the fact her love escapism isn't enough to fill the hole let by her passion for running. She wants the real thing again, but she still lacks the courage for coming back to run. Only when she can run again, she will feel alive again.

No. It's implied she left him because he's still set on literature and trying to become a writer, and either she wanted him to give it up and focus on his career like a guy with a family to provide for should and he couldn't, or he did try to be a family man but the specter of what could have been if he'd gone down the path Chihiro took haunted him and made him so unhappy that it drove a wedge between his family and him.

We won't know for sure until the manga tells us so in detail, but his ex makes it seem like she's done with him, judging by the scene where Yuuto hurts his foot; she kind of keeps him at arm's length, and she's dismissive to him to the point he has to come out and say "I'm Yuuto's parent too".

Don't confuse fantasies with reality. Probably she isn't ready at all for physical love. She is only searching some form of comfort. Those fantasies are part of that.

I don't think I'd call it purely escapism at this point. It's been 78 chapters, and at this point I think she's genuinely falling for him. At the start it was absolutely escapism and used as a crutch but not anymore. It even surprises him too. That daydreaming habit of his which is hinted to have been one of the reasons his previous marriage failed is something that she likes about him.

I am not so sure yet, exactly because the more the plot progresses, the more she looks depressed. I am not saying she doesn't feel any real affection for him, but she is becoming always more aware that the true happiness isn't in that comfort zone around him. She has been very silent lately, so we need more inner monologues from her.

What chapter do they interact? Is it one of the untranslated ones? Also yeah, It's pretty obvious that she stopped loving him a long time ago.

I don't think she completely stopped loving him. She could still feel something.

In the first place, that chapter implies currently she didn't find a new partner, and this is an important detail.

Look at her during these latest chapters. She is alone with her loved one in his room, but except for some smile here and there, she has dead eyes all the time. She should be super happy, but it's not like that.

She still loves him so much that it probably hurts her deep down every time they interact.
It's a self defense mechanism at this point, to keep him at arms length and treat his memory coldly, otherwise she might just break down in front of him.

I agree, it's exactly what I saw in her attitude. Happy I am not the only one to think this.

Plus, do we want to forget that She is still a young and attractive woman, but it's evident she is alone?

Single mom. The Japanese don’t even want their single, childless women

Okay, but I think she isn't able to fall for someone, yet. Her past marriage still hurts.

Also, if she hated Masami, she wouldn't let Yuto see him. Especially if you know how these things work in Japan.

It's also important to consider like Masami admits he is reviving old feelings interacting with Akira. He never treated her like something "new". She is only a tool to feel the same feelings he tried for his ex. When you fall in love with a new person, you don't feel the same things you felt the first time. It's a completely different thing. Speaking about manga, in Maison Ikkoku how Kyoko falls in love for Godai is a good example of this. To her, it's a completely different experience than what she felt for Soichiro. Instead Masami is always reminding his past memories. He only puts Akira in the place of his ex.

>those pale delicious legs
I love them so much.

Don't insult Akira like that.

>He only puts Akira in the place of his ex.
Stop being fucking retarded, no he doesn't. He sees Akira as a separate person, not as a simple placeholder. If he saw her as his ex he wouldn't have spent an entire chapter imagining a scenario where he was younger and met Akira in her current environment. She's not a "tool" for the manager and his failed marriage.

Really, it's annoying how those ex-wifefags treat Kondou's and Akira's feelings for each other as if it was nothing meaningful.

Penis too big.

She is simply a version of his ex who can accept his passion for writing. If he was in love with Akira, he would start to see his current self with her.

I don't think their feelings are superficial. I doubt it's romantic love, it has more complex implications related to their depression and past experiences. It's not a new start yet, if it was, every chapter wouldn't be so melancholic. It can become a new start, but some circumstances don't make this development so obvious and simple.

scanlations never

I don't understand why. There's so much crap that get translated, especially those disgusting webtoons, and this little gem don't get love. Fortunately it's published in my Country.

Yeah, it's incredibly unfortunate. I'm hoping that with the anime ongoing, someone will pick up the series.

So, if Akira is really in love with Kondo, tell me why, despite the fact she is spending so much time with him in the untranslated chapters, she is sadder than ever before. And explain me why, if Kondo is so in love with Akira, he needs to imagine himself always as a young person, just to revive past emotions that are helping him to write again. Too many implications of this kind show their relationship is more based on need of healing than pure and simple love.

>anime based off of an incomplete romance manga
whats the point?

I wasn't planning on picking it up but glad I did, Probably the best ED of the season and the show looks great.

The old dude is a good laugh, Solid VA, Surprised how good it is cause the summary sounded a little weird.

Girl looks a bit too tall for my taste.

>he would start to see his current self with her.

He is.

Oh, and just to be clear, I am not against a true romantic development between them, I find them adorable, and the age gap problem, even tho really relevant now, could be fixed with a time skip. I am only considering the actual plot development.

But that is only a dream where he sees her, not her with him.

You should already know that Kondou has always been self-conscious about their age difference.
About Akira, someone already posted these:

I'm not a big fan of the relationship dynamic. It definitely looks pretty and I love the manga art but the premise is just not for me. Many people have told me that it approaches the subject respectfully and maturely for the most part which I trust but the power dynamic in the age gap is just too much for me. I mean just look at college, the mental age/develop/perspective of people moving from 18 to 19, then 19 to 20, then 20 to 21 is staggering. Hard for me to look past this aspect of the relationship. No matter how pure this fictional work is, I guess it just reminds me too much of less savory relationships between the vulnerable and people in a position of power IRL. I'm probably just retarded since it doesn't bother me if it's a doujin/porn. It can't be helped.

Look, just tell me what happened, brother.

The ex-wife fag that suddenly started plaguing these threads is really fucking annoying. Pretty sure (s)he is like 70% of the posts in this thread.

And just when we were finally free from the Yoshizawa fag.

But Kondo is even more vulnerable than Akira. The whole point of the manga is to show how no matter which is your age, you can be always weak. Nothing is more realistic than this fact. It's not even a proper romance, indeed there's a huge possibility they won't be together.

It strikes me as kind of dumb that lots of people don't see the line between fiction and reality more clearly, but that's personal opinion. (Interestingly, there's a similar line between sexual fantasy and everything else, i.e. stuff we consume to get off to and real life/fiction we consume for non-sexual purposes. Someone can get off to incest, for example, but not want to read stories where incest is part of the plot, and be disgusted by it in real life.) Thanks for understanding that you not liking the series doesn't mean it's evil problematic predatory trash. Different strokes for everyone is what makes the world an interesting place, and I wish Tumblr understood this as well as you. Your opinion was well-articulated and maturely put. Respect.

I did, it's just that I've dropped it since then.

I don't understand why some people find this kind of topic in fiction so disturbing, but they are perfectly fine with your typical American series tv plenty of serial killers, rapes, and violence of every kind. Plus, this story is really platonic, and more about life in general than romance.

Nothing really, just from observing people? I don't have any answers for when someone should just arbitrarily be considered an adult but it sure feels like you can't trust people to make sensible decisions the younger they are. I can't suspend my disbelief long enough that a girl in high school is having legitimate feelings of love and that a 45 year old man is having a completely innocent relationship with a high school student. Even though the anime/manga doesn't suggest the relationship is anything like that, I can't believe it for long enough to immerse myself in it.

Interestingly enough, I was completely fine with Koi Kaze which was between a 15 year old and a 27 year old, though they were also brother/sister. It might just be an arbitrary thing for me-- the gap is too wide or maybe he's experienced too much for them to be even considered living in the same life.

Wait. Are you saying you can't believe a girl in high school can be seriously in love? This is complete bullshit.

Currently reading the manga, although i tend to dislike these kind of art, josei, with lanky drawings.
But the the plot which to some people may seem a bit far fetched feels like bit realistic in the aspect that Kondo is reluctant to her approaches and that he's self conscious about the people and what could happen if he actually reciprocates. Basically women are complicated.

Mr. Kondo is deeply depressed. This could sound weird to you, but depressed people don't even care about sex at all.

It's okay if this story isn't your cup of tea. But you are speaking like if you are too much pure for this kind of topic. Then you admit you liked a story about incest. user you are really messed up. And remember that real life and fiction are completely different things.

I want to pick up her butt onto my face

cute track girls

Not only the characters in universe can't accept Akira's love, also the readers don't support her. Being Akira means suffering.

Say something nice about her toes

already dropped it

too boring

This thread only shows two things: Sup Forums users are very young, and this series fits better a female target.

...

But the second thing it's fact and for the first it's a mix between people being contrarian just for the sake of it and people actually replying for reasons.

holy shit
