It doesn't seem like it will have a satisfying ending in only one chapter. I want Washizu to die and finally meet up with old man Akagi in the afterlife.

Maybe he will. Getting to the rails, or some other risky situation, trying to approach Akagi quickly, while the other doesn't help, giving Washizu the last chance to bet. Guess dying while looking at Akagi's eyes will be a truly perfect death by the Gambler's standarts.

It was far more than just mahjong in every way, so I guess so. Also Washizu is one of the most charismatic characters I recall. So I don't mind if they continue, cause it's sad to see Akagi desperately looking for trouble in some shitty vans.

I can't really think of any kind of ending for Washizu that would be satisfying after not dying at mahjong. He's in his late 70s now and is wheelchair bound. Hes probably just going to die in his sleep, full of despair at never having the deathmatch he wanted. And if the afterlife is real (assuming he doesn't immediatly go to hell and burn forever), he has 30 years to wait until Akagi sudokus.

As long as he finally dies. That fake-out fucking sucked.

Yknow maybe fkmt struggles to end a series well without fucking killing someone, but that’s ok, Akagi was worth the ride anyway. It’s kinda funny that it went in this direction that no one suspected, like him just leaving and disappearing again. I haven’t looked at spoilers but I seriously kinda hope there’s no spinoff of a spinoff later and it just ends.

Technically, Akagi is Ten's prequel. Still would be nice to get more material covering some of the time between.

Yeah I was saying like. Since Akagi is the spinoff of Ten, I personally wouldnt like yet another manga detailing the inbetween of the two. Like some anons too thought that it was the role of the Akagi manga to bridge the gap between edgy teenager and chill gramps. And seeing as the Akagi manga began ten years before Ten ended it probably also served to get people to know and understand Akagi better before he dies. So like. What now?

We only saw the starting point and the end result. Of course I want to see the middle of it! the poor Zero getting his ending is a priority but it's hard to not want more of Akagi. I just don't understand how this interesting person was able too keep himself alone like that. There ought to be deaths and drama and more.

I do, just because this current story is interesting, and doesn't seem to have enough time to come to a satisfying conclusion.
