Nina actually ruined this anime for me.
Season 2 didn't happen.

Amira is a sweet half-demon cinnamon bun who is too pure for this world so I'm really pissed they replaced her with fucking Nina and Cheerios drama. It's insulting to from Genesis to romance drama intermixed with Azazel bullying and desperate attempts to humanize the guy who killed gorillions.

A Mary Sue has nothing to do with how powerful the are and everything to do with how the story treats them. They can still be totally weak if the story is bending over backwards to still make everything work out for them and every relevant character is sucking their dick.

Nina never had any agency to begin with, having an agency would require some form of individuation. Nina goes with the flow for the entire duration of the season. She never learns anything or draws any conclusions from what she encounters, she doesn't form any opinions. She's like a romance zombie. Once she falls in love with Cheerios her entire character is wrapped around him and her singular life goal is to dance with him till her bones turn to dust.
