how many episode will this get?

hopefully 25, considering how long the manga is atm

I hope so too, the manga was so detail on Ainu people and the food, I will be sad if they just skim over the detail during the journey of Suigimoto

I hope Sugimoto's literal who voice actor doesn't fuck up hard.

ALL HAIL LORD TSURUMI
HE WIL BRING PROSPERITY TO IMPERIAL JAPAN

Ogata looks weird.

Yeah, he's a bit too happy.

>The tightness of Tanigaki's vest
I'm glad they're paying attention to detail.

Good picks. Although I agree that Ogata looks off in some way.

Kokkoku is pretty good, have high hopes for this. Hope geno delivers

>Punished Ogata
The anime will have to rush a lot if they want to get to the arc where he reappear.

Ogata being there at all worries me, the earlier arcs are some of the best in the entire series honestly and I don't want them to rush through them just to get to his edgelord ass.

>Houchuu Ootsuka
>Kenjiro Tsuda
>Yoshimasa Hosoya
Great choices and welcome back Hosoya.

Do you think I'm doing myself a favour going into this anime blind? Sometimes I find it's more enjoyable to watch an anime before reading the manga.

It's still too early to judge how the anime pull it off but GK is worth reading either way.

The anime definitely won't adapt all the ainu trivia in the manga so it's probably worth reading.

I mean I definitely will read it. Just depends on when.

>Tsurumi: Houchuu Ootsuka (Yazan, Deneb)
>Ogata: Kenjiro Tsuda (Seto Kaiba)
FUCKING GREAT
>Tanigaki: Yoshimasa Hosoya (Orga)
He sounds too young even at his lowest pitch, then again Tanigaki is only 26 despite looking 40. And they probably got Hosoya in the cast just for fujos anyway.

To be honest even if they leave the trivia it will probably won't take that much time in animated form, since you're comparing seconds/couple of minutes - several full pages here.

Ogata appears pretty early. He just disappears for good 50 chapters after that.

Otabek (Yoi) and Reiner (Shingeki), I think they know what they are doing, but I would have liked someone with better profile, anyway, I thought the seiyuu was sick.

>Otsuka as cyber Lenin
Nice

>YoI
>snk

Is that all the anime you know?

>Nanatsu no Taizai
But he isn't in that anime.

Sorry, I must have confused him with some other guy then. My bad.

Yes, that’s why I think is more a market move than a quality choice.

>Makoto
>Nanatsu no Taizai
He mistook him for another VA and obviously doesn't know what he is talking about.

Those are the most recent, you idiot. And don’t pretend they didn’t choose him because his fujoroles.

How the fuck do you confuse him with Tatsuhisa Suzuki? They don't even sound alike.

I missed the deleted post. What was about?

They'll probably cut the cooking/hunting scenes shorter.

Some deaf guy mistook Hosoya for Tatsuhisa Suzuki.

>they make a chibi section with Asirpa a Retar calles Cooking with the wolf.

Tatsuhisa and Hosoya kinda merged in one guy in my mind because they appeared around the same time, often cast in fujo shows and voice similar gruff types. I'm sorry truly.
Here's Hosoya roles I remember
>red haired whatshisname from Death Parade
>Shichika
>Reiner
>droppy eyes from free 2
>Otabek
Out of these I think Shichika sounded the most natural because he didn't try lowering his tone here.
Sorry for the brainfart again.

Here's a high profile recent role.

Maybe google before posting stuff like roles if you not really into VAs.

It doesn’t help he made one of the guys from N.6.

But Tatsuhisa Suzuki doesn't have a gruff and low voice.

Still he voices young guys, not adults. And Tanikagi is a soldier, matagi and manly. But well, let’s hope he makes a good role.

Hosoya doesn't either.

>not remembering Kingdom, Arslan Senki, Yamato, IBO, Apollon, Kokosake, Show by Rock, Strike the blood, Magi or Terra Formars

About half of these is pretty forgettable to be honest.

>only remember 5 roles
Watch more anime or something.

They don't sound alike either.

Hosoya is very popular and prolific despite being a freelancer not affiliated to any agency. His voice is well liked by sound directors and every seiyuu and staff cared about him when he announced his hiatus.
After his hiatus he has started to get a lot of roles again because his voice is that sought out. Every famous male seiyuu will inevitably be in fujoshit or popular with them. He doesn't do BL or porn.

Pretty sure he has voiced a number of adults.

> His voice is well liked by sound directors
You know that doesn't really say anything about quality of the voice or acting in modern anime industry
Remember Shirobako's seiyuu casting episode?

I don't think you really track seiyuu stuff if you trying to discredit one of the more highly prised male VAs around.

Will there be sumo practices?

>the more highly prised male VAs
Ayane Sakura is the most highly prised young female seiyuu in Japan, people give her more credit than Hayashibara if you look at that recent seiyuu popularity poll, but is she as versatile and memorable as Hayashibara?
Kamiya Hiroshi is/was the most popular male seiyuu until recent events, and he has no range whatsoever. Popular doesn't mean great.

He's been in the industry for more than 10 years, he isn't a newbie shilled by agencies or music companies. He is one of the few seiyuu that's well liked by everyone.

When I say highly praised I don't mean having a lot of fans or popularity.

After knowing director and mangaka liked Yuki Kaji in Shingeki I understood they lack any sense of acting. But probably Seiyuus need some type of stage for voicing anime characters, and that's why they are always loud and overdramatic.

How do you know he's really praised by people of the industry for his work and not shilled because of his popularity with female fans then? You can't know that for a fact.

>Ayane Sakura is the most highly prised young female seiyuu in Japan
What? Ayaneru is popular but I wouldn't call her one of the most highly praised.
Hayashibara is 50 years old for God's sake. She still has very popular roles, gets new ones and releases music. She's far from forgotten or underrated. She doesn't get shilled because that's what young seiyuu are used for.

Kaji has tons of haters in Japan though if you go to 2ch.

I don't like Kamiya as a fanboy, but he got some good roles, Honey and Clover, Sayonara zetsubo sensei, Natsume's book of friends, Monogatari series (don't like it but still he does a good job), Ixion Saga and Prison school.

Wait, are you discrediting people like Masao Maruyama too? How do you know the people of the industry are prising him only because of popularity?

My problem with him is that he always sounds like a soap opera actor.

I'm just leaning towards this point of view because modern seiyuu/relatively new seiyuu(Hosoya didn't become relevant until 2010s really) are mostly idols of sort. Lip service is also a thing.

There's literally nothing wrong with Yuki Kaji.

You know seiyuu act like how director tell them, right? Seiyuu get typecasted and told to do the same voice as always because that's why they like. Even he jokes about getting typecasted in MC
youtube.com/watch?v=HCyM6-gCamo

Why Maruyama should change anything, the guy changes companies like he changes his briefs.

Well he isn't an idol and has no recording contact. There's no reason for a old man like Masao Maruyama flatter some younger dude.

Don't have to discredit some old man for who know what your reasons are.

When did he do it? And what did he say? That Hozoya should travel in time to act with Kurosawa, or he should be getting jobs with Koreda, Sono and Miike?

>You know seiyuu act like how director tell them, right?
That doesn't say anything about how good a seiyuu can actually act though. In some cases it's even safer to make a seiyuu do the same voice that stuck with them rather than waiting until they learn how to act better/do a different kind of voice.
I understand your point about typecasting, but it's not that every seiyuu is as versatile as the other one.

I'm the deaf guy, I'm sorry I accidentally summoned Hosoyafags in the thread. Can we go back to gay ainu?

>Koreda, Sono and Miike

Do any of these directors do anime?

Up your power level.

I still don't know how you mistake Tatsuhisa Suzuki and him when they sound so different.

Yes. Any news about the rest of the cast? How long is going to be the anime, want to know if would get to see Hijikata and his gang.

>Up your power level.
I like veteran seiyuu like Horikawa Ryo, Kamiya Akira, Toshihiko Seki a lot and watched over 500 anime titles, what do I get for my autism. Also Ueda Yuji is the best comedy seiyuu, fuck Sugita.
As I said it's not really about the voices but character types and the time when they became popular/relevant. Just me being retarded really.

Now I wonder if they are going cast Sugita in GK.

Honestly they don't have the same type of roles and Hosoya has way more roles than Suzuki but it's no issue since they're not the seiyuu you pay attention to.

147 leaks

...

It's the first time in any seiyuu-related thread that I've seen someone shit on Hosoya out of all people. Hosoya was the 4th seiyuu with the highest number of roles in 2017 after Sakurai, Sugita and Hikasa Yoko. Sakurai has been 1st for a couple of years.

Our daughteru finally returns.

...

And that's it.

wtf isn't that middle guy looking too much like Shaun King?

Same. He is versatile to be cast in shows for male and female demographics. He just got cast in a children's show too.

You’re suspecting yourself to much more quality and cancer that way.

I'm not really shitting on him, I just think his natural tone/pitch(as in Shichika from Katanagatari) sounds way better than raspy pseudo baritone(as in Reiner/Otabek etc) he uses for other characters of his I know. And it will obviosly be the same for Tanigaki and it will definetely dissonate with his character's looks a lot.
Realistically, people don't always have a voice that suits their look/personality, but it's a thing in anime.
Also roles count says nothing. Sawashiro Miyuki is one of the most popular female seiyuu these days and personally I hate her as Fujiko.
>It's the first time in any seiyuu-related thread that I've seen someone shit on Hosoya out of all people
If you go to nip seiyuu boards, you'll see actual Hosoya hate threads.

All popular seiyuu have hate threads.

>it’s another “16 pages of irrelevant gay jokes without any significant plot progression” chapter

Team traitor finally reappeared and earlier than expected, I don't know what the fuck you're whining about.

So it shouldn't be that surprising to see people talk shit really.

Didn't you just said you're not shit talking.

Regardless, you saw it as "talking shit"

Tsudaken's comments are cute.

I didn't not.

It wasn't you but someone took your original post to be upset about a handful of so called "fujoshi" roles when he has way more roles in male otaku shows and mix demographics.

Hosoya's comment is so politely boring
Although compared to sociopath cat and villainous gentleman, his character is somewhat boring too

Everyday you find something new! Today you are learning people can dislike things you like. For me, I don't hate Hozoya, I find his acting roles mediocre and I hardly find him believable or pleasant to hear. But, user, is my opinion. You have one too.

Go read a fucking book, then.

He doesn't look as dead inside as he should. Anyone who knows nothing of the manga would think he's a nice guy from that picture.
Tsuda either doesn't really know his character yet, or he knows what will happen vaguely and is trolling.
>I will work my best to be the sniper Ogata Hyakunosuke who could shoot through the heart of everyone who watches the anime.

I took him literally, lol. Ogata WOULD shoot anyone through the heart.

>"what are you saying?! shiraishi... sugimoto isn't dead. that guy is "sugimoto the immortal"

Well thank god she's right otherwise her denial would be extremely sad.

>almost two months until a new PV

I like him based on 2.5 lines he has in the trailer. Better than some meme choice like Sugita as some stoner suggested in older threads.
Better question is if Asirpa's literal who actor can handle comedy scenes well. How was she in Umaru-chan?
