Guru Guru is literally the anime of my childhood. I grew up watching the Italian dub.
It's not the reason why I started learning Japanese, but it sure is the reason why I kept on going all these years.
Fun fact: both in the 1994 and the 2017 series best boy got a proper rival fight while he goes empty-handed in the manga.
