Why was Rakudai Kishi so good?

It's mostly a generic battle school story with a few subversive elements when it came to romance. Why was it so enjoyable?

Stella being a deconstruction tsundere.

Fights were done really well.
That was it honestly

>Rakudai Kishit
>good

>good
yeah, no.
enjoyable? sure, i enjoyed it. good? laughable

Mc wasn’t a faggot who went 12 episodes without picking a girl

Stella a best. A BEST.

It is a good adaptation

Battle school stories are actually very enjoyable to many people, which is why they are so popular in the first place, they are just rarely done with any competence

It's only enjoyable because of the Self-insert thing.

>stellashitters are this delusional

>Rakudai
>Stella
>good
Joke of the day.

Because it came out the same time as Asterisk War which is literally the same thing but even more generic and stupid.

It wasn't good it just got attention cause a retard e-celeb used it in a video about an equally garbage series

It was fun to watch

I started reading the LN but it got stuck on translation limbo so I lost interest

fpbp. Her relationship with the MC was developed over the course of the series in a believable way, and she was honest with her feelings, so it didn't feel rushed or forced when it became official.

I wouldnt call it good, but it was certainly enjoyable

it was generic as shit, but it did its generic premise well enough to be okay

strong 6/10 or 7/10

Fuck off

You seem upset, friend

>Kishit
It only took you 2 years to come with this witty nickname

>Why was it so enjoyable?
People only watched it for Stella, nobody cared about the show.

It's only been 2 years? Fuck. Feels much longer.

Because it was directed by Shinbo's right hand hack. Also it made time to develop the main couple instead of wallowing in harem antics for 12 episodes.

Main couple formed early, and they both had more development than they normally would, though the MC had by far the most. Even though he was the stereotypical loner with op power the story actually bothered to not make him completely invincible since he was still emotionally a wreck despite his facade. His first fight in the tournament he was so unstable he fucked up and didn't end the match in the beginning when he should have since he was at a disadvantage spec-wise. Something he realized too late and would have lost had Stella not reminded him he wasn't alone anymore and motivated him to keep fighting to find a way to win. Later he's still looking for his father's love despite everything and was totally broken when he realized his dad never actually cared for him instead of hating him. Then when he faces his last fight in the tournament it's essentially the first fight all over again since he's even more screwed in all aspects vs Touka plus the fact that he's drugged and sleep deprived. The difference being he's not completely the same emotionally and pulls through by forcing himself beyond his limits because he doesn't want to disappoint Stella by not going with her to the main tournament.
