I would enjoy it way more if they didnt try to progress the romance with poor written sexual assault all the time.
Im not triggered by it but it feels like really lazy writing to me but I agree that it got better in the latest episode.
Adam Morris
There's a clear trend inside kyoani of doing more character heavy stories and less braindead moe. I for once welcome this trend and I wish them success because stuff like Hibike, Koe no Katachi and VEG is what I enjoy the most in anime.
Thomas Williams
VEG looks like a one-time thing, there's way too many details in there to keep shoving on every one of their shows. And Shouko looks like a dork.

Watching, up to date on episodes, very much into it >Darling in the Franxx (fun as fuck) >Killing Bites (fun as fuck) >Koi wa Ameagari no You ni (Even though I can't self-insert, I still feel like rooting for Tachibana) >Death March (fun as fuck, even though it's a predictable self-insert OP main character trapped in an isekai) >Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san (cute and fun) >Ryuuou no Oshigoto (cute as fuck) >Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san (cute as fuck) >Mitsuboshi Colors (cute and fun as fuck) >Citrus (a little too much drama, but the yuri kissing makes up for it) >Kokkoku (fun, good action) >Overlord II (This has bored me so far, but I have a higher than average loyalty to the series due to the strength of the first season)
Watching, but behind by a few weeks or considering dropping due to lack of interest >Yuru Camp (when I watch it, I enjoy the episodes, but it's hard to get in the mood each week, given the complete lack of any real motivation for the main character - she just goes camping to sit in a chair and read books? shit's boring af) >Marchen Madchen (they hooked me with the exhibitionist/nude girl suddenly enrolling at Hogwarts premise, but so far the melodrama and lack of plot development in 5 episodes has been a disappointment)
Was watching, but lost motivation to continue (effectively dropped) >Violet Evergarden (slow, boring as fuck) >Hakumei to Mikochi (slow, boring as fuck) >Grancrest Senki (low quality writing, then sudden-onset NTR)

Smaller eyes make it easier to animate emotion, rather than just sticking a giant eyeball decal on the face and calling it a day.
I mean, there are anime that managed emotion with giant eyes, (see Shamanic Princess), but they were usually on an OVA budget.

I've got it all downloaded. I remember when the first OVA came out, I tried about 10 minutes of that, but realizing how slow the pacing was going, I decided to wait until more episodes came out. Given the slow OVA release schedule and subsequent delay between the last OVA and the anime coming out, it feels like an indefinite punt, but people say it's good, so I still plan to watch it.

Darling in the Franxx/Killing Bites: >average japanese boy suddenly meets a wild-mannered beast-girl >beast-girl opens up a whole new world of fast-paced action and fighting for him >beast-girl does most of the fighting, but she still needs the main character's support >sexual tension thrown in for good measure >shadowy organization is behind the scenes, orchestrating much of the logistics of the fighting
With Yuru Camp/Takagi-san, people are mostly watching them because they want to watch cute schoolgirls doing cute things. The genre is mostly irrelevant to that end.

Not him, but I dropped Antarctica at ep 1, but am still watching Yuru Camp (although it bores me to tears since there's no conflict at all). The whole premise of "my mother got 'lost' in Antarctica, so I'm going to go there to find her" should tip you off that the climax of Antarctica will involve the characters breaking down in tears, balling their eyes out at the realization that the mom is dead as fuck/not coming back. I expect it to be like Clannad or Ano Hana in that regard. The resolution will be coming to terms with death. It's very clearly laid itself out as a drama from ep 1, and as such, it's hard to watch expecting true comfiness. For me, I'm not comfy if I'm emotionally tied up in this kind of drama.
Yuru Camp is a true "yuru" anime. It's easy-going. There's no conflict, no tension, nothing. The main character just goes outdoors to read books and we have the pleasure of watching her do it. I think there's probably a potential for tension (is there something going on at home that causes her to run away like that?), but the story isn't going in that direction. Instead, it's going to be a making-friends story, and that can be done without much tension at all. The potential is for the last episode to be just like the fist, free of drama, just easy-going and comfy. Pic related is the typical person trying to get through an episode of Yuru Camp.
Nicholas Gutierrez
I can only drop a show whilst it's airing. I'm likely to revisit it once it's completed airing just so I can finish it off. If I'm binging it from the get-go, I always complete it.
Nicholas Walker

Best season in a long time desu, will have to wait until it finishes but it is likely going to surpass Summer 2017

I'm not going to get into a big, autistic argument in the middle of the day where we quote each other line-by-line. Hiro is average as fuck in the story we are presented. He can "sort of" pilot franxxes, but in the first episode, he was already being sent home because of being such a failure. He has some ability, but not enough to succeed on his own. That sounds like a typical sort of story to me. All of your nitpicking is similarly retarded. You are literally nitpicking all this bullshit because you can't accept the possibility that you might be wrong about something. Why you expect anyone to take you seriously is beyond all rationality.

>i can say that kemono friends and nge are same show It's weird how you can fail to comprehend what I did in to such a degree that you'd say something like this. First, I never said that the stories are exactly the same. I said that there are certain shows you're not watching that have the same kind of appeal as shows you're watching. When you prompted me to clarify, I did. Didn't you think it was weird that I explained the appeal of Killing Bites differently than the way I explained the appeal of Takagi-san?
It was only after being presented with an argument you couldn't refute, due to the strength of my reasoning, and which you simultaneously couldn't accept, due to your emotional preconvictions, that you went ballistic and are now making ridiculous claims about NGE and Kemono Friends. Cognitive dissonance is a crazy thing, huh? Wake up, user. Be less insane.

While I did not drop Sora Yori, its writer, Hanada, is a complete hack. He can't do subtle drama. Show's atmosphere can go from lighthearted in nature to an end of the world in the matter of seconds and then go back to normal in a blink of an eye. This was highlighted in the passport episode. They are yet to reach Antarctica, but I'm preparing myself for the worst.
Evan Adams
It's not a fallacy to ask you a question. Do you think absolute truth exists? If so, then it follows logically that an anime's boringness can be quantified. If you don't think absolute truth exists, then it logically follows that you think everything is subjective, including morality. It's really just a simple question, user. Please answer it.
You've never tried any sort of creative writing yourself, have you? Do you think interesting stories just happen randomly?
