I think it's got something to do with a 'match' being over when the referee calls it/bell rings, but the 'fight' is not necessarily over. An example would be a boxer who is no longer punching back, but who is still on his/her feet. I'm getting this from the editor's text at the end, which isn't in Korean, and which says something to the effect of "it's done...!"
