With the exeption of Steins Gate, I have never seen a good anime adaptations of VN and LNs. They are just harems and butchered plots. Something being a VN or LN adaptation is a red flag IMO. I remember hearing about Accelerator, he was a badass, liked the somewhat unique MC in same anime, interesting premise, but ultimately the To Aru series didn't even try to use its potential
