That is the highest ranking Franxx edition. The next one is the regular BD which has 405 points. The dvds editions are just around 50-60 points.
Wyatt Cook
>That is the highest ranking Franxx edition. The next one is the regular BD which has 405 points Why bring up the number of points of the regular BD when we were talking about rankings?
5 episodes in a 2 cour series. Not much really to base it on. Has anything worth while even happened yet?
Hunter Clark
>PTE 5498 It increased! Maybe 7000-8000 isn't a dream.
Lucas Cooper
Nothing much except some character drama and some story dump. The main plot-point was the build up of tension of Hiro possibly dying of the disease he got from riding Zero Two the next time he rides her which would be next ep. It pretty much was a transition episode before get to the ep that ends all this bull-shit about Hiro riding Zero-Two and get to a new arc.

Sora Yori, Yuru Camp and Pop Team Epic all being popular in Japan makes me pretty happy.

What is this shit? Why is this shit so popular? Ah I know, it must be thanks to its mobage and fujo and gayshit.

Kemono Friends Director released a 5 minute short on DVD. It got into #1 on disk ranking overall. Not just anime. Shitposting ensured about how something so cheap outsold everything, again.
Still not comparable to the Franxx and VEG shitposting though

I also don't get it. It's also weird how they have a weird fixation on saber, who has no personality.

It's doing better than most shows this season. At least it has a good shot at at least 3K. Most other shows now won't even get close to that.
Cameron Rogers
except that it is. its totally withing expectations for a 2 cour original show. People are just trying to talk it into flop status because darlingfags are spamming like crazy.
Robert Cook

Devilman was the second worst selling of those. Also, >>>/facebook/
Michael Gonzalez
You're aware that the average sales of shows now are less than 2K right? So with disc sales on the decline, selling more than 3K is already an achievement for most shows.
Not defending DITF or anything (I don't even particularly like the show), but that's what's happening these days. Times are changing, and it's now harder to reach 3K sales than it used to.
Alexander Russell
>if everything is a flop then nothing is a flop wew lad
Nathan Stewart
wew lad, if volume 1 sells 3k, each volume will sell less and less and for a two cour original anime, that's abysmal
Carson Phillips
Why are disc sales even a thing? Why not digital?
Aiden Turner
How dense are you? Streaming and especially the foreign market are getting more important than ever for the anime market. The only things japs are buying is low effort CGDCT and idol shit anyways.
Alexander Gonzalez
Well, most shows this season *are* flopping this season, at least disc sales-wise (who knows about streaming/merchandise/etc.). It's just that DITF, at the rate things are going, won't flop (and for that matter, neither will VEG). They're definitely underperforming based on hype and expectations, but to say they're flopping is a stretch to say the least.
It depends. If the series can have long legs, then it could hold on to at least a 3K average. That could happen if volume 1 sells at least 4K. But if the average hits 2K, Trigger better hope that international streaming and other revenue streams will save them.
Japan is behind the times.
Austin Sullivan
>Japan is behind the times. Come on, no way that's a proper explanation.
Jayden Rodriguez
But it sums up the situation a lot. Streaming, while catching on, is not yet as popular as physical disc sales in Japan. And it's not limited to music: just look at how consistent they are in region-locking promotional videos and music videos, something that is noticeably rarer elsewhere (even in Korea).
Jackson Watson
>Violet NoplotGarden blown out by both Fate shows and Overlord S2 This is a nice timeline.
Josiah Butler

Brody Baker

Hunter Sanchez
Do you mean to say this text is poorly formatted such that it's hard to read? What else should be expected from folks who write with 10,000+ characters?
Henry Scott
PTE has long legs. It will break 15k.
YoriMoi is a fun show. Comparing it DITF (in terms of sales) is hasty though, as DITF is 2-cour and not even a quarter of the episodes have aired yet. Expect a big spike in preorders after episode 8 or 9. YoriMoi is doing better now because it reached the halfway point and most people have an idea of what it will be a bout, concretely. Verdict is uncertain for VEG. Episode 5 gave it a big boost compared to the previous week (especially in the regular edition) but it remains to be seen if it maintains that momentum. I really doubt VEG will break 5k units per volume.
Yuru Camp's performance is deceiving as it only has one edition for each volume. It will total around 8k by the end.
Mason Morris
get out of here with your logic and sense. everything is a flop reeee.
Connor Barnes
Aniplexx is so desperate it is shilling DarliFra on twitter with prizes.
【5th episode broadcast support commemorative colored paper present】 Miku role: A handwritten signature of Yamashita Nanihama's handwriting is given to one person by lottery out of followers who twisted this book tweet! For winners, we will guide you through the application form at DM at a later date! We are waiting for everyone! Dalifura RT Target date: 2/18 (Sunday) 23: 59 5th episode will start delivery tomorrow!
This is not organic hype. The show is hyped a lot, but did not deliver anything yet. The poster above tells it will pick up around ep 8-9, but that is entirely wrong for twocour shows like that. People already are preordering it in anticipation - it will not grow. Just if anticipation will not be fulfilled, they will cancel preorders.
Andrew Ross
FranXX has two editions, it's currently projected to sell over 5k.
8k doesn't include the algorithm adjustment for high price, it's projected to sell around 5.5k. But it will have legs (3rd volume is projected to sell 10k, though it's still far off so that can easily change). And merchandising is probably going to be huge.
Adam Jones
DarliFra has been gaining viewers with each new episode though. Aniplex trying its hand at marketing is completely normal. All producers are trying to promote their work. It's not always working though. Word of mouth is a lot more important for DarliFra's popularity right now. This isn't coming out in terms of preorders, because like I said, it's not even 1/4 of the way through, and people are reluctant to dip in their pockets that early.
Connor Smith
Yuru camp is steamrolling over everyone. So based.
Grayson Brown
Stalker is under-predicting Yuru Camp for sure.

WIT is the best animation studio in Japan. Too bad that otaku nips have shit taste and small brains.
Chase Johnson
That's just marketing, it won't diminish at all the hype. Also >but that is entirely wrong for twocour shows like that. 2 cour shows also don't make the MC confess to the main love interest that also confessed to him in just the 4th episode. Trying to predict things about dralifra based on what 2 cour show usually do is useless.
Noah Williams
So amusingly accurate, but it's shit like this why we browse Sup Forums.

Jonathan Bailey
I like Yurucamp, but i find it hard to expect for it to do exceptionally well, because essentially all episodes are about the same. No matter how people like it, especially the reaction at begining - it is hard to stay excited for the 12 episodes of a show where nothing happens or changes. It is basically a beautiful wallpaper.
I believe Antarctica having better potential since it actually has room to develop and grow.
Asher Hughes
SUNRISE is the best though.
Noah Moore
Half of the episodes have aired for both shows though. Their fanbases are pretty much saturated at this point.
Samuel Ramirez
Example of why people should not expect the initial hype to last is PTE. It was very VERY popular at begining, but now droped harshly in NicoNico reservations and hype, allowing Yurucamp to replace it.
Christopher Bailey
