Fuck all this Fate shit and servants, Nasu has forgotten the real and true fans, the original and real story here...

Fuck all this Fate shit and servants, Nasu has forgotten the real and true fans, the original and real story here. Remember Dead Apostles? Nasu doesn't, fuck him. Remember vampires and Arcuied, or mystic eyes? Nasu doesn't, fuck him. Fuck servants, when is Nasu going to get back to the real story here, the actually interesting story, rather than rehashing all the shit I don't care about. Get back to the one thing I do care about already. Remake never! Nasu has forgotten us, Shiki can kill servants, Tsukihime was ten times the game and fifty times the atmosphere of Fate, fuck Nasu for forgetting the one actual good game he's made

Stay mad soyboy

whats the appeal of the fate series again?

>Remember vampires and Arcuied, or mystic eyes? Nasu doesn't,
Pretty sure Nasu still remembers.

Fate/stay mad

Have you finally understood that the Nasuverse died when Stay night finished, and all the rest of elements of it are just fanservice for gaining more money (except Zero)?

>being this mad and uninformed
After LE there will be no new projects so Nasu will probably go back to work on the Remake he even says he wants to put Arcueid in FGO once the remake comes out to advertise.

>yfw all these type moon oldfags hate FGO for no reason without realizing it is bringing attention to older TM series and is also adding more lore to the Nasuverse

t. underage

Tsukhime was a tonal mess.

The one and only reason anyone's ever given a shit about Tsukihime in the west is because the fighting game spin-off was popular with weebs for a while. I don't think the original VN would have even gotten translated otherwise.

>Tsukihime
>original and real story
Forgot about Kara no Kyoukai, huh?

Still better than Fate.

Just finished KnK, is the Mahoyo translation done?

"Adding lore" isn't an excuse for the game to be shit and for most of the original characters to plainly suck. Or for taking all the time and resources from TM and being basically Nasu's main project, while he could be working on his original projects instead of a mobile clusterfuck with other authors.

This thread is an obvious falseflagger, but it's a fact that FGO lacks the appeal that Nasu's solo works had (Tsukihime, FSN, KnK, Mahoyo, etc). The scale is too large, the focus on Servants completely misses their point, moved away from urban fantasy for the most part, bland protagonist, and the format is completely unfit for VN storytelling.
It's certainly not a case of nostalgia, it's a matter of Nasu and TM becoming complacent with the fact that they're not gonna do any other high production value "big projects" or put much effort into anything, and are happy pandering to secondaries (which makes a lot of money), while throwing some fanservice to oldfags every once in a while.

Nah, only about half of it is out and has been like that for about a year.

Down with Type Moon. Kill Nasu and dump his corpse somewhere to rot.

>Nah, only about half of it is out and has been like that for about a year.

Well fuck.

Anyway, to maybe contribute a bit to the thread's topic (despite the OP being bait), what are your thoughts on El Mello II Case Files, Sup Forums? I started reading it because of watching Zero and liking Waver's run in it, plus clocktower magic always sounding more interesting than servants and NPs , but after getting myself acquainted with Nasu's earlier works it feels almost like a continuation of KnK (in the sense of dealing with magic mysteries).

Personally I think it's nice to see that a work like this can still be born from modern Type Moon, even if Nasu's not directly involved. Gives me hope for more of it to pop out even with TM under the gacha spell.

FGO2

Case Files is great, an author actually using the full potential of the Nasuverse instead of focusing only on what's popular. It has some dumb moments, but the use of other TM characters in returning roles (especially those who didn't get much screentime, like Luvia, Caules, and Olga) is also awesome.
Something akin to Case Files is what I would much prefer Nasu to do. I hope all the setting up for Tsukihime lore that CF does is used when the Remake comes out.

>writing like 3 Lostbelts and 1 or 2 events
>all probably only next year
Yeah no, Nasu already had most of last year, and will most likely have another full year for non-FGO shit.

All I can say is that Tsukihime has the better games.

Melty Blood >>>>> Fate fighting games

t. "I couldn't afford a PS2 so I never actually played Fate/Unlimited Codes"

Melty Blood was on the PS2 too. It had two releases on the PS2. Also, what is PCSX2?

I should really finish this VN once and for all. I'm only missing Hisui and Kohaku's route. I've heard people say hisui has the absolute best route but I wonder if it can top akiha's. That one;s also the only route i fapped to.

UC for PSP is perfectly easy to emulate even on toasters.
Also MB is incomparably better. Melty was the one time where they actually put a lot of effort into Type-Moon milking and a great product came out.

He's going to write all of the lostbelts this year

I guess if I were to reach a little bit the theme is Life? Like how Shiki will die in his 20s but will keep on raping/living to the fullest?

If this were a slightly good timeline we could get an Arc cameo in Last Encore. Shiki R. too.

>That one;s also the only route i fapped to.
Good taste. I hope you went back for her dream scene in the Near side too.
Hisui's really is great though, you should avoid spoilers for it if you can.

It's hilarious that you think that with absolutely no basis.
He specifically wants FGO to be seen as a big collab, and to show fans that other hacks are "just as capable" as him. It's also physically impossible for one person to write so many in a row, if they're each as big as they're supposed to.

That's not reaching, that's explicitly the main message of Tsukihime, as spelled out by Aoko and Shiki in the Eclipse.

KnK and Tsukihime are the only good things Nasu has ever written.
It was almost 20 years ago now.

Let's face it.
He's done.

>KnK and Tsukihime are the only good things Nasu has ever written.

What's wrong with Fate?

Fate/stay night is good.
He's also shown good ideas and characters since then, they're just stuck in trash games, and more recently, mixed with other authors and insistence on Servant wank to please secondaries.

I do think the era of Nasu where he wrote heartfelt, edgy urban fantasy in his mid 20s is totally over. I'd be shocked if the Remake wasn't closer to the "clean" modern Fateshit than the original.

>writing like 3 Lostbelts and 1 or 2 events
>Nasu rewrites every Lostbelt after the second because Hackshide and Sakurai fucked up and wrote shit

>He specifically wants FGO to be seen as a big collab, and to show fans that other hacks are "just as capable" as him
Funny how F/GO1 proved just how much worse everyone else is at handling his universe

>edgy kid thinks psycho knife rape killers is well written
Staying up all night?

>I'd be shocked if the Remake wasn't closer to the "clean" modern Fateshit than the original.

Explain

I hope not. FGO can be as shit as it needs to, if it means more time for Nasu to work on actually good projects.

Yeah, but EoR was supposed to be their "redemption". They "succeeded" at being mostly mediocre, but you can expect the average part 2 lostbelt to be like a EoR chapter.

He means there won’t be any porn which is fairly obvious, since type moon has moved away from porn in general

If Nasu did it for Camelot and America I'm sure he can do it for a couple Lostbelts, not to mention Extella 3 and the secret Fate project rumors.
>succeeded
Weren't one of the writers called out for plagiarism because of EoR III?

Wasn't unlimited codes on PSP?

What's the point of a remake if I can't get high quality h-scenes?

KnK is Nasu's magnum opus desu

Although I'd welcome the Tsukihime remake, I'm actually okay with FGO mostly. The gags and comedy are nice. It's not like it tells nearly of a good story, but it's something different. The problem is when a hack like Higashide starts trying to write something "good"

He wrote all of Camelot, not rewrote.
As I said, I hope he doesn't waste more time in FGO shit than absolutely necessary.

>weren't one of the writers called out for plagiarism because of EoR III?
Yes, but that wasn't such a big deal. Higashide's writing is just generic chuuni all the time.

Does Tsukihime need a remake?

Saber has a nice face

Unironically yes, but whether Nasu is good enough to pull it off and make it great remains to be seen. Visuals aside, Tsukihime was no masterpiece

Are mirror moon /our guys/?

Considering last encore is looking like a flop the fate brand might finally be dying down enough for nasu to move on and do his fucking job

Half of the stuff confirmed for fgo2 blatantly references non-fate tm stuff and remake would be the prime thing to jump to from the only part of the fate franchise that features Tsukihime's poster girl

polfag detected [/spolier]

FGO prints too much money. Apoc sold like shit and Prisma never sells amazingly, but gets by on merchandise. Merchandise, figs, and gacha games make unimaginably more money than mere BDs.

It's unortunate that servantshit has to haunt Case Files, but is a price wirth paying. Some pandering for an overall great product is perfectly fine by me and Gray is ten times better as a saberface than fucking Nero.

I don't mind because it is a continuation to Fate/Zero with Waver as the lead anyway. Servants are great when used sparingly, which Case Files does just right. It's the saturation in modern Fate that ruined them.
Actually, not having "Fate" in the title is a huge deal by itself.
Gray is cute, though I admit I was initally pissed to see yet another Saber clone. She makes a fine Watson.

Fate/Stay Night was good, and had strong themes and characters. Zero was a nice supplement to that. Everything else is just waifubait and DUDE SERVANT FIGHTS LMAO.

It would be nice to have some proper backgrounds and cgs.
But it doesn't deserve what takeuchi's done with the characters.

>moved away from urban fantasy
I kinda agree with this, the atmosphere is gone.

>What do you mean it was a dream? I know which girl I'm choosing
>Unintentional femdom fetish achieved

The original story was Kara no Kyoukai you hipster dreck

Unpopular opinion here but I love new Shiki and think every one there except Arc is an objective improvement.

[s]I also don't mind seiba faces.[/s]

yes. i need more Len.

Cool trips.

I always find it fun how the bring in Waver for Fate spinoffs, being grumpy and bullying students. It's like every author takes the chance to use him a bit, sasusa professor Charisma.

They just seem a bit boring and flat, It feels like alot of the sharpness of the original designs is missing.

Personally I feel liek Shiki loosing his round goofy glasses for that "cooler and sleeker" bishonen look is a damn shame.

Agree in terms of the designs, but the sprites themselves suck compared to Melty.

God, I hope she gets to appear in human form and Arc introduces her to Shiki. Shiki should just take her home to the Tohno mansion and tell Akiha he found a stray cat. Or try to hide her, but Hisui finds out and agrees to keep the cat secret. There's plenty of potential for cute scenes if Len were hanging out at the mansion throughout all of Tsukihime.

>Half of the stuff
This isn't even close to true.
The only "reference" to Tsukihime is the subtitle of one lostbelt which isn't dated properly to involve Atari Dumbledore.

>This thread is an obvious falseflagger
Yes, yes, everyone who agrees with you but seems unfavorable is obviously part of some conspiracy to falseflag you.

Nasu's become too invested in his worldbuilding to repeat the urban fantasy setting in an original story without it just seeming derivative of the other two.

Anyone who thinks that the top is better than the middle or bottom is a shit artist.
That being said, Takeuchi is still shit overall. He only does lineart now and has Koyama do the coloring (bottom row) instead of Aotsuki (middle row). He needs to buy a fucking anatomy book, go to some live drawing sessions or retire as an artist and become a full time manager.

>unironically believing this OP wasn't a falseflag, or just an excuse to talk about Tsukihime with an intentionally controversial OP
>the real and true fans, the original and real story here.

Come the fuck on, stop believing Tsukihime fans are delusional or ignorant about Nasu's works. That's far more common on the Fate side, which has easily the largest income of newfags.

How is it gone?

>Yes, yes, everyone who agrees with you but seems unfavorable is obviously part of some conspiracy to falseflag you.

I can't tell for sure if it's a falseflag or not, but inserting the Shiki can kill servants meme right in the middle of his spiel gives me the impression that it's just the average Sup Forums tactic of being inflammatory on purpose to get discussion going faster. Lord knows I use it all the time so people don't ignore my posts. UBW is a masterpiece and Heaven's Feel is edgy 2deep4u garbage btw

>Anyone who thinks that the top is better than the middle or bottom is a shit artist.

Second row, every gets improved save for Akiha who looks flat (in more than one way)

Third row is a great improvement but that Arc taints the whole thing, also I liked old Ciel hair.

>Tsukihime Anime
I learned nothing and left only more confused

We need a Saccin route user

Well maybe when you watch Prisma Illya you'll gain a greater understanding.

>That thot aucried
disgusting

it's obviously inflammatory but that doesn't constitute a falseflag

Also I fucked up my editing. Should have been something more like
>Anyone who thinks that the top is better than the middle or bottom (has the nostalgia goggles glued onto their faces)
>That being said, Takeuchi is still (a shit artist) overall.

_____SLUT______

Not him, but if you don't notice the obvious difference in scale between Nasu's old works (which focused on 10-20 characters at most), and the way they had to bend over for the sake of "lore" and having hundreds upon hundreds of Servants in a gacha mobage, I don't know what to tell you.
Extella does the same. Tons of characters, while doing nothing great with most of them.

Generally speaking, small town stories with elements of fantasy, secret socities hidden underneath, and serial murders are all present in Nasu's old works that got especially popular (Fate/stay night, Tsukihime, and Kara no Kyoukai), so it's obvious why fans especially like Nasu in that context.

_____BITCH_____

_____WHOREOFBABYLON______

Voice acting would be really nice. Too bad Hisui's VA died.

I'm sorry user but it's far too late for Tsukihime. Nasu saw just how much he's making off milking Fate with minimum effort and will probably never look back again after the remake

>Kagetsu Tohya thread on Sup Forums
>Tsuki thread on Sup Forums

Sup Forums's doing well today

psp game is a bit different from the ps2 game when it comes to inputs and stuff. Plus it's probably annoying to do multiplayer since it's a psp emulator. Ps2 is easy cus it supports two controllers anyways.

>Still haven't done the curry route after all these years because I didn't like Arc getting mad in her route and I hate Ciel
Say something nice about Ciel. I need a reason to convince me to do her route after almost 15 years of putting it off

It came out on both.

>Say something nice about Ciel.
She can kill servants.

this
op btfo

An anime adaptation would be nice at the very least.

Please ufotable, right after Heaven's Feel.
OVAs of varying length.

All i know about Prisma is that Shirou finally grew some balls in that one movie to send her to a new world for a better life other wise I have no interest in lewd lolis

Well said it much better than me, but just compare the OP pic with any GO pic and you can even tell just from that.

Can I buy one of these in a pet shop?

Meant Miyu not Ilya as implied

Is Tsukihime geared to humiliation and masochistic fantasies? Seems moreso than any other part of TM.

Harem end

Unfortunately not. You need to get lucky, and a cute dream demon might come to succ you in your sleep.
Or your hot vampire girlfriend may gift you one as a pet.

Well I guess if you self insert as the girl.

it's actually pretty interesting how both Ciel and Rin's routes have major similarities that really point of some of Nasu's idiosyncrasies. For starters, the "main" heroines of both Tsukihime and Fate are girls that the protagonist sprouts an instantaneous fascination with. Both Shiki and Shirou are so enamored with Arcueid and Saber respectively that a large portion of another heroine's route, in this case Ciel and Rin's, are devoted to their relationship. This trait is also present in Kara no Kyoukai with Mikiya and Shiki, but as it's a linear story with only a single "true" heroine that it's not as pronounced. Both Ciel and Rin's routes are also devoted, not to the relationship between the protagonist and the heroine, but rather to something else, a core aspect of the overarching plot. In Ciel's route, the primary focus is actually on Roa and Arcueid, while in Rin's route, the primary focus is on Shirou's ideals and Archer. In subsequent routes after that, the heroine is basically taken out of the picture fairly early on; in the Far Side routes, Shiki is distracted by Yumiduka and never directly meets Arcueid, while in Heaven's Feel, Shirou and Saber experience a forced separation and due to events in the story, are never given a chance to reconcile. Because a major part of the protagonist's story in the early routes is how enamored they are with the first heroine, it becomes necessary to remove that heroine from the picture entirely in order to for the protagonist to focus on someone else.

It really shines a light on what Nasu thinks about romance and love in general.

Imagine all the salt that would be created if they ignored Tsuki's 20 years birthday

I would be mad

Nasu says he is done with Fate and the next thing will be Tsukihime every project user.

Don't joke about that.

Nasu hated porn (iirc the h-scenes were written by Takeuchi). Takeuchi convinced him to put sex in the stories because sex sells.

I would as well.
I think they might unironically be aiming for the Remake to release then, in 2020.
But the more hopeful part of me thinks it'll come out earlier, and for the 20th anniversary we get an anime of the Remake and new Melty Blood.

Dude, FGO made over 950 million dolars in liquid revenue in 2017. Fate is a juggernaut.

What are your favorite moments in Tsukihime & KT?

...
