I think it was watching the 13rd opening for the first time when this was airing because I was so hyped for the moments in the manga it showed.
I also liked a lot that scene at the end of one of the ss episodes when number one starts playing and Ichigo beats a couple of vice-captains with his bare hands.

This design plus the original bankai design, including Vizard mask, are all he should have ever used. They were way too iconic. Kubo should have not changed them

He looked like shit during the last arc. The few chapters where he actually showed up made me feel nothing. Then Kubo trolled everyone with the half hollow transformation and the sword that lasted all of one page and i just couldn't care anymore.

Not sure if I'd call it asspull, bankai and mask still felt like "natural" progression. Bankai was known existing, mask was foreshadowed.

A more natural progression towards the half/half form would have been Ichigo learning how to master his resurreccion form, slowly changing aspect with mastery for example. Kinda like the mask's pattern changed with time.

The only name I remember is D-Roy (the one in the back with the big mask that's half-bandaged). He's the one Rukia froze solid when she first revealed her Shikai.

The green-haired one might be from one of the videogames. I think there was a game where the big bad was a self-made arrancar.

The old man said the only time he ever outright lied was with the name and at the time something was clearly preventing him from telling him his real name . Every other instance Ichigo filled in the blanks he put out there and there was always this sense that Ichigo's Zan was never a proper one, even in the chapters the name was revealed.
