Why not just read eromanga? The rape in actual porn is way more explicit and detailed than anything in GS. Getting into a story because it has rape seems weird to me since you can just fap to actual porn instead.

Eromanga always start and end way too quickly. There's usually little to no build up and no background information regarding the parties involved that aren't 1-2 page info dumps, generally no way to savor it. Good rape doesn't just happen in a vacuum, just like a story there are multiple fully fleshed out sections that need to be present for it to have impact. Rape has to be a part of something greater and most h manga just can't capture that feeling.

They were supposed to be in the category of "not a scrub" but their failing was their leader pushing them to the point of fatigue in the LN, and falling for an obvious trap in both the LN and Manga. Parties like this exist to juxtapose Goblin Slayer's pragmatism and tactics. Instead of rushing in to save the hostage he just deduces that the hostages would be dead after a time and burns the place down. No need to crawl the fortress wearing yourself out.

Actually it would be the guild's responsiblity to properly assign personnel and we even see that they take some effort to make sure that promotions are earned and fair. The story also voices that the Guild wants to have a stable pool of members that can tackle goblin extermination but hasn't made any effort to accomplish this prior to the story.

The guild is written so that it seems like they should be taking steps to solve these things but haven't and for no real reason other than the bizarre contradiction between underestimating goblins, while also knowing they are a big problem.

It's just bad writing meant to prop up GS since he's got to be the big hero in the end.

This leaves their original villages lacking in workforce. Then they send said able bodied youth back to similar, but not the same villages, to do jobs they would have done for free for family or at a cheaper price. They guilds then take a portion of the fees for their own sake even though they’re the reason the villages couldn’t handle those jobs to begin with. Worst yet, the guild deliberately poorly manages everything, providing no training or resources, so a simple job a halfway trained team can do will take multiple teams wiping. This is so people think of the threats as way more threatening, ensuring that everyone is too ill-defended by a lack of young manpower to defend themselves this reliant on their purposefully poor services, and keeping the population scared enough to go to them, thus keeping them both constantly having a stream of jobs and making sure nobody else can. The guild is a conspiracy. They want to weaken everyone else so they can profit.

It's said over and over in the LN that goblins are an easy prey if the proper countermeasures are taken. GS just do this better out of experience.
The people dying to goblins are either under prepared, underestimating the goblins or just had very bad luck (shown as bad rolls, like with the dark elf).
I don't think that the guild should be asking each and every adventurer if they are properly equipped or how they're going to manage the quest.

Yeah, fantasy characters generally don't have helmets or practical armor because realism is sacrificed in order to make the characters look cool or sexy. But if you have a realistic setting where wearing no helmet or practical armor means you'll get shot or brained, then every flashy adventurer suddenly looks like a complete moron. This doesn't make Goblin Slayer look smart; it instead makes everyone else look retarded.

We get the impression that it's a more common occurrence because we're following Goblin Slayer, who does nothing but goblin quests and gets to see the more unique situations.

Yeah, this "adventuring guild" is like those found in a ton of other Japanese fantasy stories. It's nothing like an actual guild, rather it's a glorified job notice board with a ranking system tacked on that's meant to inform the reader about the characters' power levels.

This series would have been better if they replaced the "adventuring guild" with a monster hunter guild that actually functions like a guild, with tightly controlled membership, training of new members and whose members do a specific job rather than just taking up whatever request comes along.

GS is not overpowered in the slightest. Not even against Goblins.
