After the Rain

>episode 6 doesnt actually start for almost 8 minutes

I still enjoyed it.

but it was shit user
whos the kid that was behind them

How would I know?

Sup Forumsfags usually read the manga

>it's an ugly dyke episode

its 15 minutes of less than filler

>having ADD so bad you can't watch a show that tries to establish a mood

W E W

Why is she so sweaty?

It's summer.

What is it with bad shows this season and this ADD meme?

>not living in sweat
Fuck off non-caveman.

Ending single release when?

It is the closest animation has approached the literary.

The director fully understands the value in showing and not telling. The conflict between 2 people in real life rarely happens with melodramatic screaming matches so often found in dramas, but simply people drifting apart through subconscious avoidance of the topic.

The final moment when Akira silently listens to the winds is probably one of the many moments from this show I won't forget. It is effortlessly human, in a way that is rarely reached, if ever, throughout my years of watching anime. I am reminded of Natsume Souseki's The Gate, by how tender and subdued the storytelling is.

yeah but i want her to fuck the old man

>Why this board can't have nice things.

The sexual intercourse does occur within Akira's mind.

But it would not be strange if the relationship never becomes physical. There is a similar theme, for instance in Memories of My Melancholy Whores by Gabriel García Márquez, where the relationship between an old man and a young girl is a symbolic representation of lost youth and dreams. I'd be fine with either development.

Please don't leak out of my filter. Use the japanese name so these threads can be filtered. Thanks.

The quality of the directing made me look up the director's past works. The list is not very long, mostly Doraemon and Uchuu Kyoudai. That explains how refreshing it feels.

Her little brother, he literally shows up with her in the same episode.

She just runs up to random guys and offers her umbrellas?

Slut behavior starts early.

holy shit she's tall

I too laughed, such a well written post followed by a witty reply.

Just picked it yesterday, honestly pretty amazing. Almost dropped since I saw Kondo as a pretty unrealistic 45 year old but thank god we started hearing his inner monologues and more of his backstory . Also there is no need for too much dialogue since the imagery that is used its on point. A little gripe on the """forced""" drama of episode 4 with the cooking guy but whatever.

I liked it, really gave me the vibe of a normal highschool student in summer.

He asked her you cretin.

dadcon

Shit's gonna pop off next episode damn.

>episode 4
I really thought this anime was gonna head in a different direction after that. It's weird they don't bring it up again I thought he was gonna hold it over her and keep forcing her on dates, he implied it wasn't over

DDY when?

will cute brown girl find happiness?
she deserves it shes too pure

She falls for a dude later on yeah.

I was wondering why this show isn't more popular. There's always only like 600 seeds in Nyaa for the newest episode.

Personally it's my favourite of the season.
I really like it's slow pace and thoughtful directing. Like said, the main point is 'show don't tell' approach to the story.

It's not a surprise after reading the premise. The girl is in love with a man more than twice her age. The genre is too problematic.

To be honest the premise doesn't sound too exciting at first.

I understand that the premise is a turn off to people, but I feel like this series approaches it in such a nuanced way that it's made me root for them. Kondou is a wonderful character and his relationship with Akira is beautifully developed.

It makes me sad to read about people dismissing the show and Akira's feelings for Kondou. It's common in many places for 17-18 year olds to get married and have children at that age. I'm not saying it's a smart thing to do, but people act like Akira has no agency over her feelings at all. And to be fair, I'm basing this a lot off of things that happen in the manga, but I feel like through the course of the series, Akira's shown to fall harder and harder for Kendou rather than just chalking it up to a childish crush.

Literally braindead

Akira helps random old guys for free

I wish when I am 45 random hot JK would stalk me so I can divorce my wife and marry her.

I also blame "the family restaurant"-term in the premise as the setting.
When I read that I immediately thought about Working or other moe/comedy oriented show instead of (some what) serious drama and romance.
