All I want to know is why the fuck Goten and kid Trunks managed to achieve SSJ with such ease. By that point the "transformation" aspect of DBZ was so fucking cheaped it became laughable. At least future Trunks went through some shit before transforming

That's not the actual reason. The real reason is S Cells. Half Saiyans have more S Cells and Goten and Trunks are gentle, playful kids so it was easier for them to have an S Cell explosion and enter Super Saiyan.

It´s stupid, toriyama just made it a huge deal in DB and then in Z..who cares dude just give him glowing golden hair and make it longer spikier everytime he transforms.
It's under his robe so we don't really see, in GT it only went Yellow for Goku when he went SSJ3. For normal SSJ I assume it stays the same as we saw in GT and with Bardock. And AT wasn't that involved with Broly, he just did the basic design sketches like for all movie villains and called it a day. The other animators just opted to hide the tail

How does anything about it make sense
The oozaru is not the ultimate form, just realising the primal power thats in the saiyan, the form gives you a boost of streght and can cause mass destruction, which is perfect for conquering planet and destrying city, but in 1 to 1 fights, it's makes you slower and vulnerable to hit from a fast and little enemy.
The Super Saiyan dosen't have a tail just because Goku and Vegeta lose them and the ape form become useless for what they need
ssj4 makes sense. SSJ4 is the only form which has the ape traits in his transformation and ssj4 is considered non canon.
