To be fair manhwas are to be read when you want to see a concept be dialled up to eleven. The most overpowered MC ever, the biggest harem ever, the edgiest thing ever, the most intense bullying ever etc. They usually take things to a whole new level in manhwas. For LN and anime standards in general, Kei's bullying was pretty hardcore already.

70k for a non-main volume is pretty fucking impressive I must say. I know this contains a lot of important developments and information for a side volume but still, usually the main volumes always sell more and yet this one is almost in the same range as volume 7's sales. Either this is the Karuizawa bubble at work or this is just that popular. Both are good since better sales is always welcome. Each rise in sales is an inch closer to a new season.

This so fucking much. Schools in countries like Japan, Korea and China seem to have this mentality that if you stand out too much, you will get hammered back down. How big of spoilers are in 7.5 about stuff that hasn't been translated yet?

Not too bad. You already know about the relay race between 50% (MC) and Manabu (StuCo President) right? That relay basically impressed Satou (pic related girl) enough to make her fall in love with 50% so she goes on a double date with him and the HirataxKei couple. Hijinks ensue as the NATURE of LOVE becomes apparent to them. Then there's Nagumo who's a bit of a spoiler but not too much. He first appears in volume 5 which is currently being translated and he has a slight confrontation with 50% in the double date chapter. Other than that, nothing other than the rooftop scene would be a spoiler (you have read that right?) because this volume is basically the aftermath of the rooftop and its fallout.

Is this worth reading? I watched the anime and thought is was kind of...not good. But if the LN's are enough different, the premise was...the main guy was...the blonde guy who fucked off for the island arc was pretty cool.

I haven't read anything besides the currently translated books up to volume 5 and short stories I was interested in from 4.5 and earlier. But I have a vague idea of what might have happened in the race and rooftop via osmosis.

Since all of us pretty much know the big things that happen in 5 and 6. We would rather get the translation for the newest volume so we're up to date with the light novel.

I doubt Kigugasa because of the Horikita fag director, the anime structure makes sense if the only objective was to popularize the novel. I believe Kei's Volume 4 SS was out before any of this too, so it must have been his plan from the start.

Yeah. I think the anime was structured from the start with the intention of drawing in more readers for the LNs. That could explain why they put emphasis on shilling Horikita because her ice queen kuudere stereotype that Yukino and her clones popularized could help rake in more readers who could then change their minds and get on the Kei hype train. The anime makes sense if you look at it as a huge commercial for the LNs. But I also understand why fans would be pissed since it did kind of blatantly favor Horikita to an absurd degree by ruining other girls like Ichinose's character or stealing scenes from another like Kei.
