I've been out of the Bleach loop for a minute. Pardon my blatent newfaggotry, but what is this?

A part of a canon novel which ties up the many loose ends which existed in the manga.

Why is kubo too lady to draw this?
He's not even doing anything

Well shit in my soup. I had heard about a novel but didn't think too much about it. I need to get into this, for real.

The world needs more Bleach. A lot of people make a fuss over how it ended, but it was left ambiguous enough, and they made such a big time skip, that they could always pick the series back up OR make a Naruto style "sequel" series.

>I need to get into this, for real.
The first novel can be read here: missstormcaller.tumblr.com/CFYOW

There's also We Do knot Always Love You, another novel that mainly centers on Renji's and Rukia's marriage: missstormcaller.tumblr.com/WDkALY

Giriko's ultra /fit/ form is very durable, he can handle Meninas's strength and Candice's lighting.
Grimmjow barges into Soul Society and wants to fight Hikone.

And that's it.

>A part of a canon novel
How is it canon if Kubo didn't write it?

Kubo's the supervisor of the novels. He gave both Matsubara and Narita a list of both background information and all the plot points he was unable to cover in the manga.

Did you just fucking link reddit on Sup Forums?

Sorry, meant to reply to

Happens a ton these days.

so is this after the final battle but before the time skip?

yes. it takes place 6 months after the final battle.

Plebbit are always adamant the whole novel is canon, but the fact is Kubo gave the author some direction and the author said he based a few of the scenes on said directions. Just take the bits explaining the mechanics of things like powers etc. as canon, the rest is just Narita's fanfiction.

>Faggots are still arguing that the novels are non-canon.

do they clear up what happened in the battle?

They're just mad no one reads the stuff they post on fanfiction net. Honestly, if Kind himself had written the novels they'd still call then fanfiction.

I wanna write a fan fiction and have it published for manycash.

Bleach is just a long doujinshi

He is blacklisted from manga after the shit he did.

Kubo is doing at least two one-shots: one for the Bleach LA film and the other for WSJ's 50th anniversary.

>Just take the bits explaining the mechanics of things like powers
Have we been told what Yoruichi's zanpakuto is yet?

Fuck off plebbitor. Even the nips were saying on 2chan threads when the first book got its chapter releases that the story itself is not part of the "original work" which is the nip way of saying "canon." They're only taking the bits which are unmistakably based on Kubo's notes as canon. The rest of the story is Narita's work completely.

I don't have a problem accepting the explanations/reveals as canon but don't shove the novel down people's throats as 100% canon.

There's nothing about that.

Same with Narita's previous novel regarding Kenpachi

Kubo said he got really close to the truth (as in having his powers limited with almost unlimited expansion potential) but in reality it was not that he just power scaled to match the enemy but that he was simply limited because of having lost to Unohana.

The rest is fan fiction.

Was it ever confirmed that the porn screenshots were his or not?

>I don't have a problem accepting the explanations/reveals as canon but don't shove the novel down people's throats as 100% canon

>the parts I like are cannon
>everything else is fanfic

Is this really the state of retardation?

The info/lore dump is canon, the events are not.

It's not about what I like or dislike, how did you even come to that conclusion?

I take the reveals as canon whether I dislike it or not. The rest literally is fanfiction.

The moment I read the line where it called Orihime a Fullbringer, I knew it was nothing more than a fanfiction.

fucking kubo is the hackiest of hacks and i wish his tendons melted but he makees good
>ara aras
>anekis
>yankee thugs
>shotas
>lolis
>men full of regret
>ol geezer
>warrior women

fucking ass cant write worth shit plus he copies fashion magazines.

The moment Sup Forums started accepting shonen threads unironically was the moment Sup Forums became reddit.

porn screenshots?

Reminder that CFYOW referenced that very Kenpachi novel.

It is definitely not canon.

If the person who created a thing guys someone else info/pointers/permission to add on to the thing and he himself accepts it, it's pretty "cannon".

And yet, he's richer and more famous than you'll ever be. Cry harder.

Not really, it only mentioned Roca's name, Roca is a character in the manga too, if it referenced actual events from SAFWY then you'd be right.

Except you don't know what Kubo "accepts" from CFYOW aside from his own notes. Anyway, I'd be very interested to see the post script for CFYOW, the one for SAWFY was very telling.

What did SAWFY have?

I don't really regard this as canon. At the most, it's an endorsed fanfiction.

Whatever happened with Sado fighting those statues?

I really wonder why there are so many autists that keep talking shit about Bleach like their complaints make any sense.

>If the person who created a thing guys someone else info/pointers/permission to add on to the thing and he himself accepts it, it's pretty "cannon".

The creator's input stops meaning anything after a while. Like that Cursed Child shit will never be regarded as Canon no matter what JK shills.

>ties up the many loose ends which existed in the manga

Why is Chad a Boxer? Meh. There are far too many loose ends to tie up writer would need ten novels.

If the Bleach anime got renewed, you wouldn't be saying that shit.

Why? I don't consider the anime canon either.

Kek. I was literally just talking to my GF about that. But there's a difference between this and what Rowling has done. Jesus Christ, she's the shilliest of shills. Ten years after a work is done, and she still retconning and adding "factoids" just to appeal to certain groups to try to keep her popularity.

>endorsed fanfiction
I can't begin to explain how retarded that phrase even sounds. You should stop.

Because he can throw one hell of a punch, duh. He found a way to use his powers to become rich and famous. Wouldn't you?

>If the Bleach anime got renewed
You lost all creditability right there.

>Wouldn't you?
Not if I'd sworn to my dead grandfather that I'd only ever raise my fists to protect others from harm. If he's on some Mayweather "I need to do this to feed my family" shit I don't buy it. He's literally punching people for money.

I respect JK for admitting that she fucked up with harryxginny in HP. Well, I respect her for many things. Her university speech quote "rock bottom became the solid foundation upon which I rebuilt my life" is one I will always remember.

I have little respect for the woman left but will defend the original seven books from any and all of her Pottermore/Twitter retcons.

Looks like I gotta do it.

Half of this shit doesn't make sense, why does Narita write these pointless bits of dialogue? This chapter was really underwhelming.

Really? I thought I read somewhere this novel made safwy canon, but that's good to hear.

>He doesn't want Bleach animated
You're shit taste is truly shameful.

When the anime adapts the manga material completely, that alone defeats your argument.

>ties up the many loose ends which existed in the manga
Most of the loose ends were either unimportant bullshit or plot points already addressed. But I guess retarded speedreaders wouldn't know how to keep track of anything they complain about.

Not him but are you serious? The anime fucked with Kubo's work so much that the man admitted in a recent interview he literally felt sick whenever they made changes, eventually he had to demand they send him the script. The anime team added filler shit within the canon storyline, cut bits out, and even went out of their way to overwrite canon scenes completely. The anime is in no way canon material.

How is Boruto canon if Kishi only wrote the Sarada mini?

Whenever the speech is odd or nonsensical on the plebbit, I find that it's usually just down to a patchy translation attempt. The speech always turns out much better with the translations on dumblr, like in one of the recent chapters where Giriko and Facebook were discussing time vs speed.

>I thought I read somewhere this novel made safwy canon

Nah, just plebbitors being plebbitors.

There are still people caring about Bleach in 2018?

It's a waste of money. I'd love to see Biscuit Hammer, even Ann Cassandra animated. I read Bleach for 10 years, and I think it would be a waste of money. If I had the money, I wouldn't spend it on it. Because it's not going to make the ending any less disappointing, rushed, or well, any of the parts that lead there less shit. Bleach ran of "but maybe it will end up being really good" rules, and it didn't end up being good. It didn't end up good at all. What do you want? Animated fight scens? You're looking forward to THAT ending? I don't. I couldn't possibly enjoy it. Now that I don't have the bliss of ignorance of where it's going. Yamamoto's VA is dead, by the way.
