It's ok.The story is a bit badly translated, but FGO is pretty fun. You missed the Kara no Kyokai event (I actually suggest you those movies even if there's no Saber there), but it'll get a rerun in a few years.

Arturia as Saber doesn't have a big role, but an AU version of herself the Lion King is pretty important character in the sixth Singularity Jerusalem/Camelot. Nasu wrote that one and is really good, got a stage musical which is selling better than Extra.

Fate/Zero is not an adaptation of a visual novel. If you want more seiba you need the Fate route from the Fate/stay night VN, and that route hasn't been adapted yet (besides in the deen anime which is actually a poor mashup of the three routes).

No anime adaptation to date managed to capture this well, the original FSN anime came close but it had other problems. I'm not even being a contrarian, I loved both the new UBW adaptation and F/Z but the fact of the matter remains that if you omit the VN you're seriously fucking yourself.

The first two seasons of Prisma are probably the best/most faithful adaptation of any Fate series. Herz and 3rei are questionable but the movie goes back to being at least as good as the manga.
The manga is better overall from 2wei's finale onward but they're both very enjoyable.

The manga has plenty of its own fanservice, I don't mind the anime playing it up when it does happen. The only kiss scene that bothered me was the one they inserted into Herz's finale, which ties into what I said about Herz and 3rei's adaptations being subpar.
The first two seasons have great animation, not as pretty as Ufotable's but the direction/choreography is better. That also gets worse in Herz and 3rei but with the BD versions the only distractingly bad animation is in 3rei's finale, and maybe some of the CGI in the Gilgamesh fight. The movie's BD version looks great. The fight scenes are good but even better is just how the characters look.
