How much disk space for your anime and manga?

How much disk space for your anime and manga?

I delete everything after watching it and never seed shit. Take that loser.

I stream my manga and anime from KISS sites so I have zero.

Well, I do torrent Ufotable shows for flashier visuals and particle effects but otherwise I see the quality change as irrelevant

>inb4 bait
Im dead serious and honest

...

Three 6TB HDDs, two of them full, the other still has plenty of room for more archiving.

I consume animes through a combination of youtube clips and twitter screencaps.

my nigha. u sound like my wannabe nerd friend

G and L mostly anime no backup. Just ordered another 8tb drive.

What model is that 14tb one?

Not too much at the moment.

why don't you just burn anime to blurays?

Nice apple, faggot-san

Sounds dumb.

Not much, I need it for other things.

When net neutrality is gone you all aint gonna have any anime to watch and we data hoarders are gonna be in our comfy beds laughing

About 50 kB. A simple txt file containing links to my favourite mangas (ongoing at the top, completed at the bottom), and youtube links to my favourite anime scenes.

I'm seeding at least 5TB of shit for Animebytes and BakaBT

Sorry, I dont live in a 3rd world shithole that is called "United states of america". Your laws dont apply in the civilized world

>When net neutrality is gone
Not happening in my country.

Uhuh. Keep stocking on those reaction images for that one day when you'll need them as well.

I need them right now.

not him but how do you manage to tolerate streaming? never found an online stream with passable quality and Ive tried all the legal and illegal streams.

1TB. I keep favorites and delete everything else once I'm done with it.

>Murrica

New anime isn't getting any better, so I'll be satisfied with physical releases of older things because I still appreciate the tactile appeal of the product and value owning my items.

>2018
>not knowing most of the internet flow is controlled by the USA

None. I stream.

hoarding is a mental illness

That's not how the Internet works.

2TB on my computer
3+8TB worth of external storage.
Been meaning to get things properly sorted, cataloged, and integrity checked but I'm lazy about it.
Maybe it'll happen when I feel I've got a large enough library to warrant setting up a NAS with RAID or whatever.

>he is being serious

I get all my anime from private trackers and store them in externals. Mostly cause I get my music, tv, and cinema the same way.
Being on BTN+PTP+KG+RED+AB has me /set4lyfe/

>murrica "education"

Too much work, virtual data is much easier too manage

12TiB in total and not a single byte more. those are my dedicated anime drives and i wont get another one.

You mean until you fill them

The internet can never be controlled. It is the absolute embodiment of chaos and higher ups and normalfags are panicking wildly because they realize the unstoppable nature of piracy and pornography. I can't be stopped and won't be stopped by legislation, for better or for worse, until the internet is unplugged for good.

>Those top 5 are american companies. And the top 1 is an american company that indexes most of the things you search. Obviously that aint gonna stop new ones for appearing but its gonna be a big debacle

It's obviously more convenient to have discs ripped, stashed and easy to access on the LAN, and it acts as backup in case discs are lost or damaged.

>Those big five are the only companies fulfilling the said niche
Come on now user, youre grasping for straws here. How do you know I use their services? I could use different search engines or even have my own webcrawler

>Firms dont have to heed regulators
Maybe in US bucko

I need to get a bigger case. And like 10TB because I am almost through 3TB.

And much easier to lose. The transition to virtual data heralds the end of sanity. You own none of it and your appreciation of it is dampened by both the ease in acquiring it and the lack of a physical component to touch.

they were full multiple times. i just delete shit that i wont ever rewatch anyway. why keep it? makes no sense.

>TFW your 3 TB hard drive with all your shows on it died
Somebody end my suffering.

Chill there Lelouch

Happened to me. It was a shitty Seagate. Bought a 4 TB WD instead and restored all of my backups onto it.

Otakustream.tv is decent

Literally a cd with your favorite anime inside is virtual you cant grasp it and it can be scratched and its gone. And I dont know if you know this but there is a kind of tecnology called backup where you store all the data you possess so it wont be lost in case your main disc fails.

I'm pretty sure my shitty country will eventually become a communist dictatorship, so I'm stocking on shows to fuel the anime black market once the internet is banned. I give it till 2025.

Somewhere around 1TB, I delete things I know I'll never want to rewatch.

Where are you from?

Cuba

But you are already a commie dictatorship

Argentina

not op

...

guts is the main media drive, about 60% anime, 20% manga, casca backs up guts weekly, farnese and puck are old windows drives not currently being used.

D: is only only anime
I know what you feel bro, I live in an island so, with luck we become part of the UK

...

I know your pain man.
At least rejoice in the fact that we will be the protectors of anime in our respective shitty countries.

I have about two TB. I'll actually need to buy a new drive fairly soon, won't have enough left for the rest of the season. Luckily it's cheap anyway.

...

it's not that much cheaper than an HDD and less convenient.

What a badass!

>Day of the Eclipse: an unfortunate short circuit wipes half of Guts and Casca is completely gone.

Not trying to be - it's true, and it's not a good thing. Children can try and look up their favorite show only to find pony porn of it, and toddlers are sat down in front of finger family template "kids show" set on a playlist while their parents go out to do whatever. Now more than ever is the internet chaotic and unrestrained. This is why there's such a big move to censor material. Piracy has never been effectively stopped and it never will be because there is too much of it and there is always someone out there to figure out how to bypass whatever protection is in place.

BRs don't have sufficient capacity in comparison to their physical size, as such storing any large amount of data on BDs (TBs or tens of TBs) seems very impractical if you're a regular home user but with a hobby of saving and archiving things you enjoy. It will also be much slower and more tedious to manage and access due to having your data on so, so many different discs.

If you have something like a NAS, you get a lot of storage in a much more compact format while also having the data easily accessible at all times without physically searching through your archive. If you want backup in addition to the NAS, a few HDDs which are kept offline and updated periodically are also much easier to manage.

>I can't be stopped

This should be "it" can't be stopped. No wonder it sounds edgy.

>Piracy has never been effectively stopped
Okay, where can I download every Gundam?
Keep in mind before posting that the old answer had multiple solutions.

What? Three hour interview? The third sunday after the summer solstice? User limit!?

Yeah, I'd say it's been stopped.

What's the absolute best quality format/codec etc you can download right now for anime?
I don't care about size I just wanna hoard shit for the future

10 bit h264.

Only streamed for last 10 years, stopped watching anime completely because my favourite streaming site doesn't work anymore.

i stream everything and when i really like some show and i know i will want to rewatch it some time, then i torrent it

divX.

I would do this but stream quality cant compare with download 10000kb bitrate quality

How many anime shows have been lost on the internet? i.e no seeds or places to download? Maybe someoneshould make a backup archive somewhere?

I seed obscure and old hentai.

Not that much.

Pretty good. Lots of trash can shows which could be replaced by much better shows though.

There is still free space, so need to replace.

*no need

Fair enough.

You can technically stream torrents with qbittorrent. Just click download in sequential order and you can watch immediately as it downloads. Only advisable if your internet does not suck.

Do you have a link or list

>Do you even quality?
I bet most of those are 480p lots of anime there hasnt come out bd yet.

Nice and clean but to tag most folders with 'complete' seems unnecessary to me and it bloats up the folder name length. Why not tag incomplete shows instead so that you know which ones you need to look out for?

It's all the Bible Black episodes and one hentai I forgot the title to, but's about a girl who gets into a weird cult and gets fucked by everybody, and the leaders are fat bald men.

hawt

shit thread op

NN is a principle and it’s not going anywhere. You were tricked into thinking title 2=NN. We didn’t even have it until 2015. So only 3 years.

I hope you have backups

[bloatgirls]

>flac

...

Shit looks neat what do you use for the icons?

That sucks feel bad for you

what sucks about it?

Around 7 TB in total.

In process of consolidating into NAS

Had my NAS died last year. i'm living the pleb life now.

I only keep the downloads so I can seed and gain ratio. Before starting using animebytes and other private trackers I usually deleted anything I'd downloaded.

If it weren't for private trackers I'd still delete everything I guess. I only have HDDs for seeding. In retrospect I feel it was kind of retarded buying them, ratio really doesn't matter on animebytes.
