However the boy decided to hold on and keep living what seemed to be nothing but empty days until, one day, as fate will have it his father got transfered to the city as well; He could not avoid remembering the girl, he kept seacrhing for her at every crossing, at every popular store... Only to find her holding the hand of someone else. The boy couldn't take it, and so he ran, and ran, until his feet led him to the rooftop of his school. Just for how long did he run? The entrance ceremony quickly flahses trough his eyes just as he's about to jump from the roof. Wait! ... A familiar voice is heard.
Tldr: The girl thinks she must love him just as much as he loves her and confesses her feelings right there on the rooftop, the boy comes from a disfunctional family so he doesn't really know what is love.
The story is about them overcoming their different views about what does it really mean to care for someone while realizing that their bond could not have happened out of sheer coincidence.
