Why not just post the original source of the news or the date itself instead of posting a link to some shit website? This isn't rhetorical, I demand an answer.

>April 3
One month and three days before anime is saved!

...

Why didn't they make it at 50 episodes and then do the movies? At least, they kept the classical OST, right?

>Composer Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Re:CREATORS) is composing the opening theme song "Binary Star" as part of his SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] project, and Uru (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, live-action Kōnodori) is providing the vocals. The single CD, which also includes songs performed by Tielle and Gemie, will ship on April 25.
Damn, I always keep forgetting which one is Sawano and which one is REVO.

>Why didn't they make it at 50 episodes
Because they know it's going to flop and don't want to spend much money on it.

>At least, they kept the classical OST, right?
Of course not.

>11 episodes
>CGI
>saved

Why do people always complain that there are only a few episodes? The previous series took years to complete.

And this new series looks like it will be the same pace as the previous series since the new season of 1 cour plus the films that together will have the same time as a series of 2 cour will adapt until the end of the 2 cour of the original series .

>short seasons
>bland shiny designs
>CGI
>concluded as movies
>guaranteed to be forgotten before the year ends
Truly a Second coming of Sailor Moon Crystal

For some reason everyone seems to immediately assume they intend to cram the entire series into just what's been announced so far.

It's 12 episodes + 3 movies, each one 4 episodes long. So 24 episodes, two less than the OVA's "first season".

though wishful thinking I hope that this series is a completely new take on the series like one where the FPA wins

LoGH strongsuit was never its visuals (unless in the case of space battles)

The first season of the OVA had at least three eps that were either almost entirely original or transplanted from the gaidens so it should fit just fine since this is a new adaptation of the books and not a remake. Whether it'll be as good is another question, but it's enough space for the material at least.

still praying that this is a prequelish thing which will give more backstory on the rest of the admirals. that’s literally all I want from logh.

It already is explicitly not that.

Stop praying then, because interview with episode director made it pretty clear that it's going to be another adaptation of the books.

People want to hate this just for the shitty character designs and because it's not trying to be an exact clone of the original.
Probably also people who don't understand how much original content the original had compared to the novels.

Use archives next time you fucking newfag
archive.is/kyrtp
Stop giving ANN clicks

That's what I wanted Gaidens to be, but sadly it was mostly Rein & Kirchy show

Same fagging? What's up with ANN hate all of sudden?

>Klopstock Incident
>Actress Exit/Benemude
>Kesler and his former waifu during the Alliance Invasion of the Imperial Frontier.

Are these the episodes you are talking about?

I'm dying to see new designs, especially for Oberstein and Schoenkopf

>Oberstein is also a bishonen.
>Schonkopf is no longer manly.

Those and also the one with the nobody Alliance soldier going down to a planet to bring supplies to people and then everything goes south. The whole thing's extrapolated from about a single paragraph in the books.

those episodes were all great, but
Kesler and his former waifu during the Alliance Invasion of the Imperial Frontier.
I especially refuse to let them take that away.

PLEASE delete this

I'm fine with getting rid of that. Kesler is boring 2bh.

>Dissing Char.

They also expanded some characters' roles. Ivan Konev was barely one line in the books, for example.

That was nice episode

He may have the same VA but he's nowhere near as interesting as Char.

Shut up, Kessler is great. But I agree, that episode with former girlfriend was mostly needless and didn't add much to either his character of story overall.

Yeah, I think it was a nice way of presenting that information but strictly speaking it's not something that needs to exist in a new adaptation.

Revo does the openings for AoT, rest of the music is sawano

Is that a bad thing? It fleshed out the one-note characters in the novel and made certain things interesting.

Like how Iserlohn is a Liquid-Metal Fortress and not a generic Death Star.

Iserlohn is a metal gear!?

There also the fact most of the staff are from the Kuroko no Basuke anime. Fearing it may become Fujobait instead of the Sci-Fi Politics that Logh is known.

I want the new adaptation to make Iserlohn a giant humanoid mecha, Macross style, and so their showdown with Geiersburg is going to end up as magnum fistfight in space Not that I really want it, but the new adaptation is going to be shit anyway

No, it's not bad at all. In a lot of cases it's great, actually. I'm just saying 24 episodes should be enough to cover the first two books even though it's less time than the OVAs spent on them.

All I want it is not turning into a "Reinhard/Kircheis + occasional Yang show". There are so many great characters that deverve love too.

I didn't watch KnB, but was it really a fujobait aside of designs? From what I heard it's a generic sport show, without much of romance.

kesler is a best admiral, fight me

it was a nice emphasis that there were reasonable nobles in random colonies. pretty much every other episode says that mariendorfs aside, the aristocracy were corrupt dicks who would throw away millions of lives for their honor. it didn’t an entire episode, but I wouldn’t want to see it completely cut.

All of a sudden? How new are you?
Fuck off back to your ANN shithole.

I bet that you even unironically uses ANN at one time.

This and the episode about Jessica winning election.

Right, I forgot how much smaller Jessica's role was in the books. It's pretty wild reading through and realizing just how much material in the OVAs was original. Although there were also a number of scenes they cut that I would have liked to see animated, so it evens out a little.

>Although there were also a number of scenes they cut that I would have liked to see animated, so it evens out a little.
This is curious, could you give some examples of such scenes?

Juliam's Isorlohn Diary is one example. It would have lessen the Julian hate if the OVA just adapted that.

It's less fujobait than the original logh.

Off the top of my head, there's more to the scene where Muller is gossiping to the other admirals about Oberstein adopting a dog that they didn't include. He actually tells them a story he heard about how it happened and I thought it was kinda cute.

If this is true, it makes the whole remake hate for being a potential fujobait pretty laughable

COME ON AND SLAM

Pretty sure it was in OVA too, though I caught this one only during rewatch and I'm not sure if it was Muller there. This scene finally made me understand the whole "chicken meat" deal from the final episode

I believe KnB have a big Fujo fanbase.
The only other thing you could hate the remake for so far, is the character designs and the 3DCG, so I guess people just latched on to the Fujo aspect.

I know you all hate new designs and praise original design to heaven, but admit it, original did terrible job with most of secondary female characters. I swear, the only way to tell apart Jessica, Eva and Mrs Cazzelnu was the length of their blond manes.

Even fujos have standards nowadays. If they are gonna watch this it won't be because of the new character design, which is objectively crap.

Nah, I'm 100% certain the part I'm referring to wasn't in there. Although I just looked it up and I was a little wrong, it's not so much a story Muller tells as actual narration that transitions into into a scene with him gossiping about it. Anyway it actually explains how Oberstein ended up adopting the dog in the first place rather than simply establishing that he had adopted it and that it liked chicken, which is all the OVA did. It's not a huge scene or anything, just something that stood out to me.

The three women you've mentioned are totally different in their character design.

Did the dog save him from bullies?

>a lot of topless scenes
>changing rooms for officers
>FPA beach episode
Is this that needed to attract fujo audience nowaday? I think I could suffer through this if it give them more budget adapt more arcs.

I'd read it. Was it translated?

Unfortunately, it isn't translated yet.

ANN should only be used as an encyclopedia. Everything else they have, every single article and writer goes from obvious to irredeemable.

Disappointed it's not premiering on Yang's birthday 4/4.

Best boy didn't deserve such "present"

I also remember there was a scene in manga where Yang met Frederica in cafe and she was in beautiful dress. I assumed it was in the books. I'd love to see it in original OVA

The character designes they've shown so far don't even look bishounen. They look extremly bland and generic.

I thought we had more time...

Imagine what that's going to be like when there's 100+ male characters to remember with this art.

...

BRING IT

it's good

This picture fills me with so much rage. Would it kill them to give these poor bastardss if not different face features but at least more different hairdos? Would it?

>file name
Goddammit
They arr rook same it's not even funny. Same eyes, hair, expression except Kuroko. What led to hire the same character designer by the way? Are there interviews to the staff?

It's fujoshit bait. Give up on it.

Reminder

Only one interview was translated so far, and there was nothing about design. But I assume it's because they took all the KnB team to work on it, artists included.

Honestly I don't even care about fujobait or not, but I do care about immediately recognizable character designs that go past a hair cut, or worse still, just a hair color.

Where is a new PV?

You've got to be fucking kidding me. One top of the shit designs, shit seiyuu and CGshit, they pick the worst hack of a composer in the industry to do the OP? The only way this could get worse is if they have Okada do the screenplay. Holy shit.

>From what I heard it's a generic sport show, without much of romance.
It's exactly like that. Same as Haikyuu. Also, both of them are from JUMP.
It's just got a lot of fujo fans (Gintama & One Piece has a lot of fujo fans too, but Sup Forums doesn't even bother to call it fujoshit either).
Hell, I've met so many people & jocks who follow this anime purely for its competition & build-up stories.
Only weebs & Sup Forumsutists who constantly spouting about homo meme.

According to my Fujo friends, the real fujobait series is Free. Because it's not focus on Swimming competition at all.
It's like K-On but with all males main characters.

>INB4 Don't believe what Sup Forums says. Ever. Sup Forumsnons are the same group of people who said that CCS & MahoYome are Fujo series.

Wait until Anime Japan 2018 on 23rd March.

>(Gintama & One Piece has a lot of fujo fans too, but Sup Forums doesn't even bother to call it fujoshit either).
Gintama is well aware of its audience.

I wonder if opening song's name "Binary Star" is supposed to be about Reinhard&Yang, or about Reinhard&Kircheis.

>wanting 50 episodes of this shit

Nah, this is a blessing in disguise.

According to Sawano, Binary Star will be a ballad song. I imagine it'll sound something like the original LoGH's opening songs

Why.. how... who even thought of this project? I still cannot believe its true. Fujos already have their gay japanese basketball, why would they cast their sights on this?

Calling it, nu-Logh will be promoted with yaoi-sh art in otome-mags.

they even butchered the best flagship

We saw nothing of this show save a small teaser, and nothing implies it's going to be anything other than space battles and politics.
Why all of you already decided they are going to make some kind of gay porn?

Julian and Mashengo

I afraid Mashengo most likely won't be even introduced in the 1st season.

Why is Reinhard so tall and ugly? I was wary of this shit since they announced it but boy this art style is trash.

He looks slightly better in teaser.

>Legend of the Galactic Heroes 2025

He looks even more generic there. How could they ruin such a handsome man?

It's not the first time they are doing it.

>Shit designs
>Shit staff
>New seiyuu that don't fit
>Sawanoshit
>No classical music
>CG garbage everywhere
Why in the fuck would you even pretend this might be good?
