This is fucking good. Why have I never seen it mentioned on Sup Forums before?
Hell Girl
Becuse everyone calls it Jigoku Shoujo.
Okay, Jigoku Shoujo.
4 seasons out, and I have never heard of it still.
Are you new to anime and Sup Forums? It's an iconic show, and it got threads last season since a new series came out.
I've been here since 2007 and never once heard about it. I randomly came across it when I was looking up Satomi Arai.
Everybody fucking loved Ai back then and it was discussed by virtue of her 10/10 design alone as well as its rage of the week episodic format. The new season however is fucking trash aside from that one episode with the family so it's obvious nobody wanted to talk about it.
it usualy gets the occasional short lived thread and as you may have found out many short shrifts sadly. good job by Mamiko Noto in the title role though.
So far I'm only on episode 3 of the first season. Are the others worth checking out as well?
>that one episode with the family
That was a truly excellent episode with a 10/10 finale.
Oh yeah go for it. They're all mostly good, village arc was a bit eh but it was still fine for the most part.
Fuck yes. This will keep me entertained for a good while.
Why would someone do this?
The show itself is pretty dull, but Ai has a god-tier character design. Yeah, the other seasons are good too.
Except 4th - that one's garbage. Maybe worth watching just for the few short Ai's appearances, but ideally don't expect anything from it.
they wanna die
Nah, I love Japanese social realism like this. One of the first manga I read online was Confidential Confessions, and ever since then seeing the grim reality of the otherwise seemingly utopian Japanese society has become a genre fetish of mine.
Because you're new as fuck. It's also extremely boring.
>seeing cunts getting eternally BTFO is boring
Every episode is the exact same.
Watching it week by week at the time might've been fun (?), but as an already completed show it becomes way too obvious that it's a disjointed and formulaic affair.
It's why they tried to make an actual overarching plot later on, but it kind of clashed with the series and felt out of place, as a result of how it had worked until then.
>Why have I never seen it mentioned on Sup Forums before?
Because Sup Forums has SHIT taste
>hating on the best episode.
Get a load of this gay.
I watched this long ago. I couldn't finish the third season, that new MC or whatever was beyond bad.
This show relies solely on Ai which is a 10/10 character.
Sadly the episodes tend to be very formulaic and predictable with almost no surprises, so boredom sets in after a while.
