SUBS WHEN
there are already ones in pretty much every language, surely there must for english too?
Honestly Snufkin carries the show by himself. Every other character could just fuck off and nothing would change.
Nope. Some user is translating the Finnish version but he's very slow.
That’s Tamayura though
the witch is fun, and the bald guy with a purple robe, hemulen i think it was, is also shines
The original is in Swedish though
The comic is originally in Swedish but the show is originally in Japanese. Then it was very likely YLE's greater priority to dub the show into Finnish moreso than to Swedish.
Is that the reason why it was memed as an anime? I thought the original was finland-swedish.
I downloaded a torrent with 72+ episodes with english, japanese and finnish subs.
>snufkin is disgusted by your incest fantasies
Tove Jansson who first wrote the books and comics was a finland-swede.
this is why finland swedes are best.
YLE did both Finnish and Swedish dubs. Fucking proper Swedes even call Fenno-Swede Swedish Moomin Swedish because of the dub.
That particular series was entirely Japanese but partially funded by Finnish national broadcasting company.
It was originally voiced in Japanese and then dubbed into Finnish and after that into Swedish (though the Swedish dub was made in Finland for the Finland Swedish audience.)
No my friend, it's because of their accent

It is anime. Essentially every creative aspect of the 90's show is Japanese. It's about as anime as a show can get
>scriptwriter Japanese
>director Japanese
>studio Japanese
>Japanese producer
>original audiotrack is Japanese and the lipsync and character acting is matched to that track.
>Unique Japanese opening (and song) that isn't in the Finnish version (Finn one is literally just scenes from the show)
>originally advertised for Japanese market
>original broadcast in Japan (1990, Finnish broadcast was 1991)
Essentially the only Finnish part of the production is that it was commissioned by Finlands public broadcasting company (YLE) so that it could eventually be aired in Finland for Finnish audiences, which is why the show did have a Finnish executive producer (Dennis Livson, ann also credits him as a creative consultant for "season 2"). The reason why the show is so overwhelmingly Japanese and therefore anime, is because Japan also had their own interests in broadcasting a new moomin series, considering how Moomin was already known in Japan. There were two different moomin shows aired in Japan before the 90's one.
>all those memers saying the finnish dub is better when they know literally nothing about that language
how fedora can people be?
sprölölööö
That is because it is evropa kino.
EVROPA KINO>anime>>>>>americuck cartoons.
>He didn't learn Finnish just to watch the better dub
Sad!
I'm a Finn and even I think the Japanese version is better.
The Finland-Swedish version is the best one however.
>Youtube deleted the best scene in the entire anime where Snufkin talks with a small guy and gives him a name
Why even live?
It's fairly accurate to the books, at least compared to the two that came before, though.
The Japanese version is definitely the best one voicewise, as it has an all-star cast, but one major issue with it is that the movie completely dumbs down the Nietzche-esque monologues of the philosopher muskrat so that little children could understand what he's going on about. The Swedish and Finnish dubs are better there, as they made sure to restore the dialogue from the book.
Some parts of the Finnish version is better.
There are no subs for the Swedish dub.
The Swedish dub is best but the intro is mediocre. It would be best to replace that with a voiceless version of the Japanese intro.
He looks high as fuck.
Is Marijuana legal in Finland?
>Be Snufkin
>Be 22
>11 yr old half sister wants to date you
Being Snufkin is suffering
Nope, but people still smoke it though.
I like Moomin in both Swedish and Finnish, but the Japanese dub is pretty damn dope as well.
It already has a superior Danish dub, what more could you possibly ask for?
Danish is up there with Chinese when it comes to terrible-sounding languages.
The original series was good until Mushi took over the series. You can tell the quality dropped after episode 26.
I bet you're fucking Swedish you dumb faggot, go stick some wasa up your ass and watch K-On again.
The first 78 episodes are good, it's Bouken Nikki that goes straight to hell.
This happened in the comics.
The comics are shit compared to the books. Dropping the comfiness for a generic time travel plot was a terrible mistake.
I would commend you on that reply but he's right. Nobody wants to hear that throat potato talk.
All scandi languages are equally horrid.
I have never watched Japanese moomins, but damn did they pick good voice actors
Where can I actually get moomin?
Is there any subs at all?
M8 I really hope you're not talking about me because if you are that's fucking embarrassing for me. It's been literally almost a decade now.
At least the first episode is on Youtube, though the subs are quite bad, the guy is obviously not that proficient at English.
Hurry the FUCK up.
I would have to redo everything if I started a dead project like that at this point. The work I did was pretty damn embarrassing.
