I want the Lovecraftian/Conan kind of adventuring back, s'il vous-plait

What need now is manlier heroes instead of edgy emos

It really doesnt make sense that the Post Station people fear these women

Nothing, just pray Takase Naofumi and Akira Tsuchiya don't die one day, or I'll just end my life.

>he's still on about that
I'm sorry but day of the 80s macho american action heroes are over. Even Hollywood didn't do that kind of movie anymore.

>Tfw no Conan anime

Fuck off furry

We're at Isekai currently. We've already had eras for exotic adventuring and swords and sorcery.

Next up will be JRPG/MMO fantasy as VR/AR tech gets more popular, and then later food porn isekai.

Finally, when that gets boring, we'll see a resurgence of medeival Swords & Sorcery, and the cycle will repeat.

Witch Hat Atelier is pretty damn cool. It's got an established magic system and sorcery society intrigue shit going on.

JRPG/MMO Isekai is the future because everything just gets worse all the time.

There is this one manga about a sexy princess who hides her identity and then roams around and eventually there a bunch of apes attacking her kingdom. That's a solid manga, with great worldbuilding and art. I forgot the name though, but there should be more like that.

Also dungeon mushi and Kuutei Dragons are solid fantasy manga.

I for one really enjoy Cooking with wild game. Not to mention delicious brown girls everywhere

Guin was a pretty alright anime. I wanted to read the novels but couldn't find them on the internet unfortunately

when the fuck will there be more thicc tribal saber translations?

Space Opera Isekai.

Because of the potential to collect green alien slave girls, and space elves, and robot combat maids.

...

Are you referring to Stravaganza Isai no Hime?

"Conan-sama, what is best in life?"

>About 67 results (0.69 seconds)
>Did you mean: "medieval" "Europe"
>hits only /vg/ and this thread
I don't what it is, but I know it sounds very autistic

The art is great too.
Is it in a hiatus or something?

Whichever path it takes I'd really like to see a full stop on the "trapped in a fantasy world (world may or may not be virtual)" trope.

Nope, just the translations/scanlations are slow. I talked to the translator and they've translated up through chapter 12 but the people putting it on the page are taking their sweet ass time. Tried convincing them to just release the text of their translations but haven't gotten a response yet.

Chapter 18 just came out this month.

More likely all we would get is the same species with different names, but each from their own planet.

I assume that you are talking about medival fantasy anime.
There's a trend of unique medival fantasy manga, which will probably receive adaptations in the coming years.
-Witch Hat Atelier
-Somali to Mori
-Stravaganza Isai no Hime

Especially Stravaganza has a good chance for an anime adaptation, it's running in Harta which is owned by Kadokawa.
And they recently started to push Harta anime (Hakumei,Hinamatsuri)

You can stop now. This meme stopped being funny the first time.

Whats the difference in high fantasy and regular medieval fantasy. Also is there a high fantasy Isekai?

High fantasy tends to try for a more "epic" feeling and with more stuff like dragons and wizards. It's a pretty blurred line I'd say though. Something like Lord of the Rings is high fantasy. I feel like high fantasy tends to feel more cliche too since I don't think there's been too much innovation in it for a fairly long time.

It's not "high" and "regular" it's "high" and "low" and "dark" technically. High is magic and dragons, super wizards and the like. Low is a more grounded fantasy. There may be unique races like orcs but magic is less fantastic. And then of course dark is just a fantasy that is usually twisted and cynical.

I don't know man that feels like the opposite extreme to what we have now. The Conan style hero is usually just as unsatisfying.

Vandalieu is pretty much a hypocrite right? He talks about how terrible the people treat others and shit, but makes slaves out of every undead he meets due to his Skill.

Why do MC in revenge stories always end up becoming hypocrites?

Okay I started reading Pure Love X Insult Complex because for god know reason some user mentioned it in some threads ago when it's not even isekai and I got hooked into it. Will the MC get better at fighting? There's a weak to strong tag, and holy fuck 100 chapters and it has only covered 6 days.

Because revenge stories are always hypocritical. They're based on emotion not reason. I don't like how Van postures and pretends to be more civil than he actually is.

Dude if I remember correctly out of ALL the chapters currently translated almost nothing actually happens time progression wise.

Does he treat his undead slaves bad or something?

Because most of them are faggots who cry and play victim because someone did something horrible to them and in the process of taking revenge they do the same horrible shit not only to the one they hate but also to people barely related.
The only way to avoid shit like that is to have the protagonist say "Ok, I will not go as far as this cunt went" before he starts taking revenge.

I don't get what you mean

No, he just has a skill that makes them love him unconditionally. He treats them pretty well, but it's still the fact that he brainwashes them. There are even segments where you see the inner monologue as they're being brainwashed.

>we have reached a point where "Character Growth" is a necessary tag

What sort of crap is this?

Machine Sliced Bread, the place that hosts only PEAK Isekai.

remind me of that breastfeeding novel where MC was given super charm and have the ability to get the skill of the female that fed him. Still a deformed baby but every single female falls for him.

One part of the story that peeved me is the former slave trader and his slave. It make it sounds that the trader fall in love and saved her. He reappear after being mentioned to have disappeared and is under some demon so MC can claim the slave easily.

>because for god know reason some user mentioned it in some threads ago when it's not even isekai
That was me! I want the girls to get younger!

What was the novel about a demon lord posing as a guard and falling in love with the healer chick in the hero's party?

He can't really help it as it's a passive effect.
You need to be a certain level to resist it like Borkus. Mostly works in their favor as it prevents them from becoming violent spirits.

>No, he just has a skill that makes them love him unconditionally.
No, it charms them into being non-violent. They still hate him but can't attack like in the case of Isla where she works for Eleanora because of this.

Also, he means how the overwhelming majority of human races want to genocide Vida's races. Look at the Sauron rebellion and what the "good guys" were doing to the Scylla and how the King of Amidonia wanted the Scylla to rebel in a few decades so he could slaughter them all.

novelupdates.com/series/yuusha-party-no-kawaii-ko-ga-ita-no-de-kokuhaku-shite/

Yuusha Party something something.
Is it even getting translated any longer?

It got picked up by Rinkage, so dont expect fast or steady translations.

yuusha party

It's high, low, dark, historical, sword and sorcery, etc...
The ammount of fantasy sub genres is ridiculous.

>Whats the difference in high fantasy and regular medieval fantasy.
Medivial fantasy refers just to the setting, i.e. the work is set in a universe resembling the medival period.
High fantasy worlds are filled with magic, unique races, demons, magicans.
They are also often aiming for an epic feeling (Hero saves the world, large wars, etc.)
Low fantasy uses less traditional fantasy elements, it's more grounded in reality.
Magic isn't the norm, and if supernatural events occur they are usually of a small scale.
Fantasy works can be part of multiple fantasy sub-genres, for example Lord of the Rings is a high fantasy, but also a medieval fantasy.

thaaaank you

>high fantasy that mostly deals with swords and magic and lost ancient tech that can go into sci-fi territory
>setting that ranges from our modern world to European or Eastern influenced style to otherworldly fantasy-like worlds depending on the world you're summoned in or travel to.
>/tg/ tier of material and potential world-building
>No game/MMO stats/cheats
>Old school JRPG feel with light modern moe-ness
>Balance of light-heated CGDCT and serious drama with bloody conflicts
My ideal isekai already exists. I'm just waiting and praying that it will get LN, manga, or anime adaptations.

NP

To whoever plugged this in the last thread, thanks, it reminds me of that Overlord Twitter Story Maruyama wrote.

>to uguu your enemies, to see them panyanyan before you and hear the ara-ara of their women, de gozaru

True but much like all the "Punk" genres many of them are picky and don't really need to exist.

>pray range

need lv 30 to do damage? Won't it still be no damage with the def stats difference?

I just finished Isai no Hime

I..is it bad if I fapped to Vivian's torture scene?

I hate Xena and Conan.
Because it is even more power wanking and total horseshit than your average Isekai wanking.

...

chapter?

What happened to Yukino?

23. It's light but I fapped to it nonetheless.

next manga chapter when?

What is even happening in the story now? I got bored and stopped reading when he fought opened up a spa which had jack shit to do with the premise.

Her head got mounted on a pike in front of MC's house.

Lazy dungeon master? The Spa was actually a clever move by the MC. Now he's able to harvest points and get money at the same time. But yeah, I want more Dungeon battles and Kehma uses his wits to defeat his opponents. So far we only have 3 dungeon battles.

>that feel you're harvesting your friend's corpse for materials and food
>She wouldn't have it any other way
Got a feeling so complicated. Have a good night guys!

I can't read any of the manga chapters because of how bad it is. Not only is their grammar shit, but they end up renaming a bunch of things that feels even more far removed than the original words used in the story. Both sky and the person working on the series before him ended up using the same terminology, yet these guys get something completely different. How?

Clever move or not I wanted dungeon stuff. I didn't want some spa crap. Then again it also shoe horned in adventure bullshit as well didn't it?

>Especially Stravaganza has a good chance for an anime adaptation
user.... I.....

It has been axed user.... Ending got rushed by publisher and there are no scanlations or yuri...

They are affiliated with men that hunt literal tusked monsters on a daily basis, and it's been estabilished that the women themselves are stronger than a normal person.

Not the same user, but WHAT? Please tell me you're lying. Why has it been axed?

It wasnt that popular in the end. Also the raws are out there and the ending is shit.

Black hair qt marries an elven king infront of everyone and relevant problems are solved before it. No /u/

Other user here. What happened to Vivian and her country in the end?

Vivian is fine and at least the people of the country are fine

This. Anime when?

God fucking dammit japan, you and your retarded shit taste. Not even a yuri-fag speaking here, but I just liked everything about this.

I don't know if I should thank whoever quoted Slave Harem in one of these isekai threads since it was the exact opposite of what I expected (revenge porn) but still relatively fun

Ah well, she's alright at least. And best boy Iroppo is doing fine too I hope.

Shame, that was quite a refreshing manga to read. No OP MC, no harem bullshit, no OP magic, just pure medieval adventure.

There is a difference between 0 damage and 0.001 damage.

And that's why it failed.

>original stuff like Stravaganza dies
>utter cancer like Fate fester like the 1349 plague
Sasuga nippon kuso taste.

when a boss has thousands of HPS, it's a non-factor

Well, it really is a great series, seriously one of the best paneling I ever witnessed.
Speaking of which, this is also promising.

Other user here from /tg/. Some systems have a rule that if an ability deals no damage, then any effect of that ability will not take effect, like poison or prone effect. So 0.001 damage is much better than 0 damage.

You are welcome
Author releases three or four chapters per year

Ye I know that much but we're talking MMO isekai here so you can't exactly defeat an eldritch abomination with a dozen wisps

Irrelevant.
No damage means ZERO (0) damage.
For you to suffer no damage because of your def stat, you would need to have infinity in your def stat.

Is it really MMO Isekai?
The MC has the game elements but it might be that they are unique to him, nobody else in the first two chapters has made any reference to classes or levels.

>total damage dealt by a hundred lv30 will be less than what lv80-100 deals in one shot
>protag can just use one of his many hax to lifesteal in AoE, effectively turning low level scrubs into medkits

That's only if it's percentual reduction instead of static damage reduction and there's no rounding to nearest integer.

Based user, I read the first chapter a while ago, then forgot the title completely, thanks to you I'll pick this up again.

>Assuming the rules from one page
Epic, simply epic

I don't really get it, the dude looks like generic modern villain but apparently this might actually be the game world? The translation is kinda bad so it's hard to tell if they got it right, I guess I should check the novel.

Thinly veiled nationalism to counteract China and get men to enlist. Like Gate but much more.

Hollywood is both a money machine and a propaganda machine, working according to the actual rulers. There were WW2 war movies, then the action heroes in the Cold War, and we're at peak soyboy marxism today.

You can already see plenty of antichinese narrative in the mass media now. At some point the profits of sucking it up to China won't be enough and Hollywood will change its tune, again.

That reminds me, how different is the LN from the WN? Was Meat still treated like a fucktoy by the bandit in the LN?

Source on this? Nothing comes up in saucenao and reverse image search

Maou-Sama Retry

Bloodborne anime when?
