>anime drifting from niche to major market >30 new animes out of 700 original titles >8 billion budget for original content >Netflix Japan’s content library is now the largest in the world >only 10 percent of the people who watch anime on Netflix live in Japan
It's over, they are really taking over aren't they? How long until they buy KyoAni for pocket change?
Gavin Wood
But can they compete with SAO and Index.
Michael Gutierrez
How is this bad? This just means more anime.
Camden Powell
Based Nettofurikusu-oshishio-dono-kami-sama making Nettofurikusu orijinaru shows.
Robert Murphy
The only 3 studios that matter are toei, sunrise and A-1. Netflix can do nothing to them, because their owners are a lot bigger than Netflix.
Noah Ross
Anime going mainstream is a bad thing. Westerners will expect anime to confirm to their morality and values, and the screeching when it doesn't could pose a serious threat to anime as we know it.
Benjamin Sullivan
well, they're bringing lots of bucks, but in the end they're not changing the way this industry works, so in the end you'll still have maximum QUALITY to comply to the ridiculous schedules the studios have to face
Landon Russell
Throwing up anime and labeling it Netflix original doesn't mean they actually have a hand in the production
Ryan Gray
yeah i'm fine with that
Noah Walker
So like Devilman Crybaby?
Samuel Murphy
>anime stops pandering to otakus good
Caleb Peterson
Why are people being memed by Netflix?
They don't do shit besides license shows airing on TV to also stream through them.
Ayden Bell
>Wahhhhh!!!!! Don't let normals into my secret club!!! Fuck off op. Its a good thing that Netflix providing anime companies with some income. It means we get some variety apart frome the "BUY OUR MOESHIT MERCH OTAKUSAMA" that's dominated the industry for the last 10 years. If you don't like it don't subscribe to Netflix.
Grayson White
i don't care. whatever make it easier to keep pirating anime. whether it's fansubbers, official releases, or crunchy/netflix we're gonna complain about the subs anyway. but at least with crunchy and netflix we aren't stuck with shitty TV rips. fuck, crunchy rips nowadays are the second best thing to bluray rips, with many 1080p encodes being close to 700-850MB per episode
Leo Kelly
In that case, let Disney buy up those three studios by creating some patsy company in Japan.
Angel Gutierrez
I know you might be an uninformed nigger that gets his news from Sup Forums and western news aggregators but “Netflix original” more often than not doesn’t actually mean they had any part in producing the show. There’s plenty of shows prior to Netflix “taking over” that are now hosted by them and labelled as originals despite everything. The actual amount of shows Netflix has a part in is a lot less and if you think trash like B and Devilman Crybaby are enough to overturn the market, you’re retarded.
Nicholas Clark
This has already happened, except the Western normalfags who post on Sup Forums think they're better than the "normies" and make shit threads all day everyday as shown here.
