Attack on Titan season 2 ED.
youtu.be
Text, cadence, the choir, the visuals, the animation technique.
Everything comes together and makes this deeply unsettling.
Even more obvious one.

Among the best OP ever too.
Haven't seen the show yet, but reading the VN it's incredible how scary it can get with just one characters eyes looking different. Incredibly subtle things instilling a sense of paranoia and dread
Flowers of Evil
Even if one doesn't like the show, there must be common agreement that what was done with the OP/ED in this show was absolutely gorgeous.
Why wouldn't anyone like the shows? It was an interested story. A little grounded and basic at time. Don't know why I expected more horror, but nevertheless. It's good.
Sup Forums has shit taste. Look at all the threads that came out when the adaptation was airing, Sup Forums cannot handle anything but the most generic mindless garbage, no wonder they like konosuba
You didn't see the huge backlash the first episode had at release?
>Why wouldn't anyone like the shows
something something potato something
susumu hirawasa sucks
Sup Forums is not one person
go back to wherever you came from
you suck
Song wise at least this one always creeped me out.
for what reason?
I figure this is an obvious one
youtube.com
Art style not being generic moeblob.
cool stuff
The song is nice but the visuals just make me totally unable to take it seriously.
I mean, it's literally just a pink haired anime girl drawn into gustav klimt-ish backgrounds.
You're only affirming Sup Forums's shit taste. I mean look at it, it was shit even before the mods let people discuss shittier shit.
Nobody likes anything that attempts experimental styles or tries something out of the box.
>Sukeroku gets red eyes in the OP for the episodes he appears to Kiku in
But it looks like a lazy version of A Scanner Darkly.

>PRESENT DAY, HEH
>PRESENT TIME
>HAHAHAHAHA
>The absolute state of american anime watchers
Scanner Darkley wasn't true mo-cap, it was a special filter program.
I read the manga and dropped it because it was infuriatingly pretentious and stupid.
>American reading comprehension
I laugh at that everytime.
Somewhat, at least.
The rotoscoping was sorta ugly though it grew on me eventually, the pacing wasn't perfect at times, the story isn't enough of a masterpiece to carry the show. I enjoyed the anime a lot, but I can understand why some wouldn't.
I didn't like the manga continuation. It was very depressing for me, because the solution to all the problems ended up being "well just find a special someone who shares your interests just like you haha". Yeah. I'll do just that.
>90's British pseudo-grunge with female vocals
My heart just came buckets
I was thinking of posting that but it only really becomes fully realized at the end of the arc
>nu-Sup Forums hasn't seen the most entry level of entry level shows
Oh how far the anime fanbase has fallen
Posting an all-time classic
youtube.com
Speaking of classics:
youtube.com
To be fair, Lain is dull and has aged like milk but since it has deep themes and the fact that it "predicted the internet" that automatically makes it good and very entertaining.
Well yeah, that's why I said 'somewhat', only really works well when you know exactly what happens, but even then, there's definitely a sinister intent throughout the whole song anyway.
Correction, I meant not true rotoscoping. Rotoscoping is tracing over a captured film segment to "cheat" an animation. Scanner Darkley wasn't animated in the least, it was a sort of filter program that saturated the original film reel.
Aku no Hana only resembles it because of the flat digipaint colors and very lazy traces.
Jesus christ you idiotic american, go back to your capeshit
How is it dull? Because it's a little slow? How has it aged badly? Because it chooses to have some scenes completely still? Has better animation than garbage out today like Devilman.
Shiki is not even a decade old so I don't know how you can call it a classic. Also this opening sounds like shit. The vocalist cannot sing and it doesn't even fit the theme of disturbing OP's and ED's. Visual wise maybe there's a shot here and there but the music completely gets rid of the creep factor.
>Crybaby is garbage
Oh god when will you americans stop ruining every thread
retarded newfags are out i see, probably attracted to the Satoshi Kon shit in the OP
>Trying this hard
Plenty of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei OP/EDs contain heavy foreshadowing, but I can't point to one in specific and call it "disturbing", maybe the first ED but the music is kinda catchy and upbeat.
>It's a randomly blame Americans for everything episode
Americans ruin the industry and any anime discussion, they have objectively shit taste
>Fallen
That's not an example of falling, it's an example of aging. What was quintessentially "core" a decade ago has gotten more obscure as people don't tell newer people that they should watch the good classics from the past, especially if they want a more refined taste for a comparison to what exists now.
Without that, people will just fall for shittier and shittier shit which is unironically happening with nu Sup Forums I.E This is why pre 2000's anime threads should be encouraged, not in the "lol request way" but in the "I've watched this and you faggots should too" way that is more suited for Sup Forums. Give instead of seek.
Besides I have seen Lain, I just have really strong feelings over the OP, let alone the entire show.
Yeah, Pablo, because Lain isn't a boring schlock
Only 3rd worlders blame America for everything.
"good animation"
Yet I'm Swedish. I remember when I was underage and couldn't develop a proper argument so I would just shitpost for the sake of it, thus ruining threads.
Actually just murder yourself, right now. Hirisawa san's live shows are the ONLY thing I have ever considered paying money to watch.
I need you redditors to leave immediately
"aged like milk"
who are you quoting
You aren't contributing to this thread yet you're complaining about others.

You've hit the trifecta of a brainlet argument. Congratz.
>Moeblob tominoshitters thinking they have any say in anime

crawl back to whatever blog you came from
I should also add, there is in fact an annoying little thing about human psychology. You fear what came before and naturally seek what's closer to you because your psyche tries to seek distinction by defying the older culture, the classic youth vs. old shit.
Basically if it's not "happening" right now people will ignore it and next thing you know quality will fluctuate and faggots will be praising what would ironically be a rehash of an older, greater thing as something brand new and groundbreaking. We can't progress in a cycle of repeated ideas.
>Blog

Unlike you I'm not from reddit, so you need to head back there and complain about how problematic everything is
>no u
>No u but again
I see, this is the critical thinking level of nu-anime watchers
>Aged like Milk
But user, didn't you hear? Lain is from 3/3/2018 11:22 PM Eastern. It hasn't aged at all.

I don't think this one will ever be topped in terms of creepiness

also aku no hana have shit animation .
story is great
it needs a version with nakamura point of view ._. you shiteaters
Go back to whatever 2008 forum you came from
This shit scared the fu*k out of me when I was a kid watching toonami
Because it was garbage.
t. watches k-on and thinks its good
Never got the hate for it. This was better than any of the show's OP's.
I don't think K-ON is good, but I would watch it over Aku no Hana any day of the week
it got deleted just like your mother :^)
Yes I know you're a pleb american, no need to say it twice
Whatever helps you sleep at night, user. If watching and unironically enjoying a """"psychological"""" teenage romance show with Fify Shades of Grey levels of writing makes me a patrician, then I'd gladly stay a pleb.
Also I'm not american.
Why is this thread full of shitposting?
>Reddit spacing
>Spelling errors
>Thinks moeblob is good
Fuck off back there
Because Sup Forums now has people who like Aku no Hana unironically and think whoever dislikes it must like moeshit.
I thought this shitflinging started because someone had to audacity to insult the memetic anime symbol of our collective unconsciousness generic and boring?
Either way It's fine that some people might like Aku no Hana, just ignore their blatant shitposting regarding "moefags" and try not to use use generic criticisms of it back like "it's shit" rather than actually criticizing an element of the show.
>user who defends aku no hana is a shitposter who randomly calls people american
Really makes you think
It doesn't matter what the criticism is, the replies are always the same generic "you must like moeblobs" and "its too realistic for you" stuff they say for years. And neither the show's writing nor its animation are realistic in any way, people were mocking shit like pic related back when it came out specifically because of how deformed and inhuman it looks.
It's really sad that some people try to be contrarian for the sake of being contrarian.
This ED is so good. One of the best parts of the second season.
Well yeah, that's really cheaply rotoscoped and the actresses that modeled the characters are plain or hideous.
Of course, I've never seen it and my only Idea of the series is it's about the stupid adventures of some Japanese horny Japanese teen.
The manga is really interesting, but the anime is the most boring piece of fucking garbage around.
Rotoscoping made it look like shit. I think the only anime they could make with that look is Oyasumi Punpun. Make the "human" characters rotoscoped, the Punyamas/Onoderas drawn and God can be a still image moving around (kinda like inferno cop)
A horny and angsty japanese teen steals the gym clothes of the "prettiest" girl in his class he has a crush on, but he was seen by another girl who forces him to do her bidding and puts him in a bunch of embarrassing situations. He ends up falling in love with his abuser because why the fuck not, and also the other girl ends up liking him because why the fuck not as well, and a lot of drama happens over stupid shit.
It's still better than the generic look of the manga.
>perverted teenagers going through puberty make no sense and get dramatic over stupid things
It's almost like it's the point of the show or something
Yeah, I agree with those user who believe the style wasn't appropriate for that kind of plot. It would have been better for something else, like some sort of social commentary series.
It's the point of the show, but if it aims to be realistic about that subject matter, it would help to not make the girl he has a crush on start to want his dick just because she saw him being kinda cool for a moment. I also had a crush on a girl who barely noticed me back in my early teen years, and I also did catch her attention sometimes when I did some cool/funny stuff, but she never fell in love with me or anything like that.
And I wasn't nowhere near as downright creepy as the MC from Aku no Hana was, some of the stuff he does/says would prompt any real girl to never talk to him again.
don't reproduce (not that you'll get the chance but just in case)
disturbing ?
What, are you a faggot or something
It took me an embarassingly long time to realize that it was Susumu himself singing in his songs. I thought he was just hiring the same singer over and over again.
