This is Yachiyo Hitotose. The pocket watch that was given to her by her mother allows her to transform into Hindu deities. That ended when she died in a plane crash while going to do volunteer work overseas.

It's best when they have proper development first as well. If it happens within the first volume of a character being introduced it's too soon, but always finding an excuse or waiting until the last volume got old years ago. And why add a harem to only have one winner at the end. If they want to have that many female characters, give them additional important male characters to be interested in as well.

Depends whether you're writing a "courtly romance" story or a more modern story. The courtly romance stuff should be a slow-burn which turns into uncontrollable sex somewhere in the middle of the narrative. A modern story has sex from a low-commitment hook-up which turns into an important relationship somewhat unexpectedly. Love blooms after sex in modern stories.
