He's actually kind of stupid and impulsive but he's the main character so the plot bends over ass backwards for him.

>murder weapon that literally cannot be traced back to its owner
>gets caught anyway

Wasn't his fault.

*blocks ur path*

Sure it wasn't.

Why didn't Light just kill his entire family and made himself disappear to kill people from a comfy location outside of Japan?

He died, so no.

He wasn't a cuck.

plothax, he's not that smart.
He was an arrogant dumbass, that's why he lost. If he never killed Lind L. Tailor then L would have never found out where he was. He kept falling for L's provocations which cost him so much of his anonymity. He then killed Ray Penber when he didn't have to, which made L narrow the search for Kira down to 2 families.

He died like a bitch though...

Definitely not suspicious at all.
He died because Mikami ruined everything.

>...

Wouldn't that be incriminating as fuck?

>literally impossible to be caught using the death note
>gets caught anyways because shitty japanese writing
You can't defend this series

Why didn't Light just use the eagles to kill L?

Regardless of who ruined it, he died like a bitch.
No, because a smart boy like Light would make it believable. Like leaving his teeth behind alongside a mutilated charred body.
His whole deal was to become god and Kira was his alter ego, so like, his physical appearance didn't matter.
Hell, he could have had a "fight" with his parents and move away from Japan.
The point is that Kira did want the recognition because he was a narcissistic kid with a god complex so succeeding to become a god wasn't really his plan.

Why didn't L just throw the Death Note into Mt. Doom as soon as he got his hands on it

He didn't want to become a god, from his perspective he already was a god.

Light had the perfect life and still decided to fuck it up. He's actually one of the most stupid anime characters.

Poor Light. In the end I feel nothing but pity for him. He was a young boy.

No, he's not the most intelligent, but he did give us the potato chip meme and a swimming lesson which counts for something, I guess.

His main fuck up was that he didn't use Rem when she was eager to do anything for misa who reveres Light as god and is willing to die for him.

That's not me

Can't even compete with this guy in terms of psychological warfare.

Funny, we just had a thread talking about how "intelligent" he is:

no, it absolutely was. All he had to do was not give in completely to his god-complex and attempt to murder an innocent detective for daring to take on what would be an impossible task anyway, had he not tried to murder him.

it's only impossible to get caught if you're not a dumbass. Light was a dumbass.

This. Light isn't even smart.

Lelouch was a fucking idiot surrounded by a bunch of even bigger idiots.

>so the plot bends over ass backwards for him.
To be fair, it does the opposite later on.

>Gets angry and tries to kill LLL on live TV
If he never did that he would never have had any problems.

>build up Light to fail because of arrogance or growing too ambitious
>he fails instead because he got himself retarded lackeys

That was excusable because he fell for a well done bait when he was just starting.

Killing the FBI agents that had no lead and outing himself as having police contacts once he was aware of what L could do is what ended up truly fucking him over.

deathnote is for edgelords. its a horrible story, fucking boring and the they all look like they have fetal alcohol syndrome

i don't understand how you can say he was dumb just because he did not protect his anonymity at all costs, I mean it would be true if he just wanted to kill criminals and become 'justice' but right from the beginning the show establishes that he wants to become a god and rule over the new world, which to me seems incompatible with keeping one's anonymity, at least if he wishes to exercise some power over other people

lol just saying if he had kept to himself he wouldnt have got caught.

I thought it was for fujos

koro sensei is smarter

He's not even the most intelligent character in his own series. He had a huge asymmetric advantage over L and still managed to only barely beat him, and ended up being caught by an albino potato.

>ITT : we shitpost over one the best plot in the anime game

>one of the best plot
It's not really well written. It's interesting and fun, but the tactics/characters aren't always good, especially compared to stuff like Light does some pretty dumb stuff.

L is smarter than him, it was literally confirmed by the author. Whether or not L is the smartest anime character is another thing.

As soon as world governments started endorsing him, it should have been over. He could have just fled to that country, and killed all the assholes after him from safety.

>Impulsive
>Arrogant
The moment he killed that L faker and Panber he was doomed

>be Light
>have OP notebook that kills anyone
>have gf that will do anything for you that has the same kind of notebook
>have two literal gods of death by your side
>barely beat L.

If Light didn't kill fake L and Penbar the plot wouldn't go anywhere.

He certainly is enlightened by his own intelligence.
