This is wrong and you know it. It only looks semi decent since Shaft went back to its .ppt modus operandy with it and it barely has any animation for most part. More then half of every episode is stills pans.
And as for Kizu, it flopped and the good animation parts in it are attributed not to "shaft" but to Umetsu, same as Madoka ep 10. Umetsu is Studio Arms.

Show where their advertisement budget you talk about was spent? I've seen nothing comparable to what Anipexx does, their main advertisement seems to be their yutube channel with many millions of views for PVs.
The only thing they did is present it in different conventions around the world and shown and keep showing it in cinemas, where people pay for tickets to watch it.
The show is pretty much paid by itself before even aired just by deals with Netflix/Bilibili, and you are also forgeting the show is advertisement for novel and merchandize - which, surprise, is regularly sold out now and pretty popular. BDs preorders are also hardly represented by Amazon alone, as a lot of it with KyoAni goes through their show (better bonuses) and hmv retails where it, surprise, also from time to time sold out. Plus the OP ranking in itunes chart. Event revenue that they plan as it is major source of their income now. It is show that is most popular in place that brings the most money (china) and in japanese rankings as well:

Combine that with a fact unlike most studios they actually get all the profits from it and production cost is similar to their normal productions - it litterally prints money. Similarly people way underestimage relevance of their other franchizes too.

Can you not shitpost without at least cheking basic facts? Both KnK and PW are included in all their general event promotions. As far LN goes, the only stuff actively advertised is that is getting new volumes: like right now Tsurune, Chu2 and VEG.
Not saying it is not one of their least popular LNs, but even if no one would care about the LNs and anime, people DO care about the characters and their merchandize sells. Same way Mirai and Tamako are still relevant.

VEG was like top 9 on MAL after the first pre-screening which was like 8 months before the anime aired, it also had over 140k users following it by the end of 2017 as well, if you look at this that's more than half of what it has today. Basically, hype put VEG where it is in that site, and probably in bilibili as well.
