Is this spider getting a female body soon? I don't want to fuck a bug

>spider
>bug
Spider EAT bugs.

I wish this was a weekly or at least a bi-monthly series.

this is probably as obnoxious as I think it is

At least it did wonder to help my arachnophobia.

...

What the fuck is wrong with your thumbnail?

Blame gookmoot.

...

I want to fuck that cute spider and help her give birth to a thousand tiny baby spiders.

...

Its actually been quite a while since I've seen that happen.

How are the LN translations?

>"Due to Yamada-kun’s statement, the fact that oni-kun had killed Natsume-kun had become clear. Since Natsume-kun wasn’t amongst the reincarnators gathered at this treehouse, I think it’s likely that some people had guessed why. Even so, even if they had been able to guess that Natsume-kun had died, I really doubt that any of them could have imagined that it was one of their ex-classmates who had killed him. The proof of that, is in the chilly silence that dominated the room."
I don't know if it's badly written or badly translated but it just sound awkward.

Some of them are just misunderstood.

What is that? It's kinda cute!

Oh fuck, this manga is so fucking cute.

I LOVE this spider!

Spiders can be really cute when they want to.

Just a girl and her new friend.

Don't fuck the spider

Spider, no
Arachne, yes

Can't find it online. I'll have to BUY it.
Uuuuuuuurgh.

>it's okay if the spider has an extra appendage shaped like half a human coming out of her head
Listen to me user. Fucking listen to me. Don't argue. Listen to me and tell me you understand.
Don't fuck the spider.

>Kumo.
Yea 100% true, what the fuck with the punctuation in this manga? Tons of monologue without any commas or fuck all. It's a good manga but my brian hurts.

But arachnes are hot

Poor Brian.

It's straight from the nip.
Spider thinks in very long run-on sentences without pausing okay.

Actually I read that so fast I saved only one beautiful comma-less picture. Now I need to reread. That is also okay.

There's a 50/50 chance that you'll be eaten.

at least Vampire Girl can regenerate

Surprised more people aren't bummed we're already at Fire Dragon Rendo part.
Kumo gets Taboo Lv 10 not long after this and the story begins its decline

That's actually not true. Spiders don't eat their mates under normal circumstances, but may become more aggressive when under stress, such as when kept in captivity.

So, give her a massage first and don't try to record your first time.

>we're already at Fire Dragon Rendo part
Speak for yourself I'm already at the moment the fucking elves got BTFO.

I lost interest in the LN once she became a drider, shame all good things must come to an end.

>Kumo gets Taboo Lv 10 not long after this and the story begins its decline
I'm of the opinion that it only gets better as it goes on so fight me fgt
It couldn't remain "spider kills everything in dungeon" forever and it would have gotten boring as hell if it did

>the story begins its decline
Thanks user, I'm bummed out now.
I don't know about the details yet, but I've heard that the story shifts from dungeon crawling to something completely different and I don't think I'm ready for that.

And some husbando bugs just bring food presents with them and they are fine. Although this one can fucking eat whole monkey population worth of food in one go so good luck with that.

I'm on your side. The whole "dungeon crawling" part feels like training for what is to come, I would've been seriously annoyed if she never left the Labyrinth.

Kumo seems intelligent enough to know it's more of a gesture than an actual gift of food

It does become different. Whether different is better is up to the individual. It's a pretty wild ride and the author flexes some very strong worldbuilding muscles after having set up nothing but ultraviolence.

So uhh, when does she become a Drider?

After she leaves the Labyrinth.

Arachne will be much later. Like, double the whole length of the manga. She still has two spider-spider evolutions and she sticks in the final one for a pretty long while.
Quite awhile after. She even goes back for awhile.

She becomes serious with a bitchy personalty.
Only good thing was the wrath parts.

A shame she's so asocial. I would've loved if she talked to the wizard what's-his-face.

She's not really that serious. She's as lighthearted as ever.
And she's not 'bitchy', she's simply completely indifferent to the opinions and desires of others. Her mind is alien, not intentionally malevolent. Such is a spider.

She's a spider, so what?

cat ears spider

Well I feel silly now. I was joking, but thanks. At least I can look forward to it in 2040

I really hate when Isekai stories are obviously video games-like. Like, when you get shanked, and instead of worrying about the wound or the bloodloss, you just look at your HP and are like "oh, I only lost 2 HP, I can keep getting shanked like that again and again".
See what I mean?

Dragon got exactly the same mechanism but a cute girl to look after the dragon.

Since the manga seems to be following the LN (what with the indestructible dragon egg at the start), she'll stay an Arachne for a nice long time too. In the WN it barely lasts 15 chapters (which would be like, 3 manga issues). They expanded it in the LN.

Oh yeah. What was the deal with that egg?

It's quite deliberate. The game elements are actually essential to the plot.
It's a dragon egg. It hatches into a dragon friend later in the LN. Not present in the WN.

Kumo is pretty good to that regard. She still loses limbs when she loses HP.

Ha, makes sense, I only read the WN.

Pretty much all source material is like that, no?

If I remember correctly, the last guy who tried that ended up with a spider in his brain. Became a good proper meatpawn for her though.

What, he tried to bang Kumo? I don't remember that.

Natsume barely had time to say "Wakaba Hiro?" before getting spidered.
There was one drunk guy who got to squeeze her boobs though. She passed out from shock on the spot.

Yeah, but the guy was just some random dude, and she was so adorably terrified she didn't even kill him. She just hid under a table in a corner.
Natsume is the self-centered retard who wanted to rape Teacher, right?

It was one of the soldiers she was training who tried to sneak into her room. She "corrected" him.

Yes, he's the isekai "rival" for Shun who actually thinks the whole other world experience is a really long dream and nothing he does matters, so he murders and rapes his way in a hedonistic reverie. Kumo puts a spider in his brain since he managed to get a Ruler skill and she needs control of all of those.
I don't even remember this event, but such is the fate of minor characters.

Ha, yes. I remember that. Lotsa fun was had when she detailed her training program and the effect it had on people.

I though it was Hugo, I guess I mistook the characters.

Hugo is his reincarnated name, Natsume is his japanese high school student name.

Haaaaa, okay.

I'll try to keep an open mind when the manga gets to that point. The dungeon stuff has been great so far but she's gotta leave it sometime.

I don't understand why everyone is buttdevastated that she leaves the Labyrinth.
50% of her rambling is about how shitty everything is.
25% of it is about how disgusting everything here is.
And 25% is about what she'll eat once she's out of the labyrinth.

Hardly a surprise that she finally fucks off.

>I don't even remember this event, but such is the fate of minor characters.
It was a throwaway joke in the middle of a giant infodump about a bunch of other stuff, obfuscated behind her "it's just your imagination" unreliable narrator mode. Easy to miss it if you're not reading closely and paying attention.

Their autism can’t stand it when a series isn’t exactly the same thing from start to finish.

Agreed with both of you. I enjoyed the dungeon crawling, but it was stale by the time they finally started doing other stuff.

Yeah, but seriously. Kumo's goal is to get the hell out of here and eat tasty stuff. I would've hated it if she stayed in the labyrinth and suffered horrid food.

Not to mention it kinda went against her character.

So how many of the light novels consist primarily of dungeon crawling?

For some reason I thought this was going to be one of those shorter stories where Kumoko exiting the dungeon would be the endgame.

The first two.
We're right at the finale of the second LN, in terms of manga progress.
After Fire Dragon Rendo, Kumoko goes a little wild with power in the upper level, has some fun, raises some more skills out of habit, and hits Taboo level 10. Then her entire story takes a shift as she gains an understanding of the planet she's on, though this isn't told to the audience for a significantly long time. All her (non-food-related) actions from then on are extremely long term plans befitting of a spider's web. (Kumo is ruled by her tongue.)

I myself was sure that Kumo was going to be all powerful as soon as she left the labyrinth.
I was wrong. There's always a bigger fish.

Ah, okay. I’ve only read the first LN so far and am not bothering with the manga, since it’s basically the same thing. The progression there sounds perfectly fine to me.

At the end of the day, the strongest spider in a dungeon is still just a spider.

>At the end of the day, the strongest spider in a dungeon is still just a spider.
The incredibly vast irony of this statement is difficult to parse without tremendous spoilers.

>that thread
Our forces are prepared for any alien threat!
The navy sends their ships, the Air Force sends their jets!
And nothing can witstand our fixed bayonets!
The EDF prevails!

Nani?

...

I fully expect that she’ll work her way up to really fucking powerful, it’s just that of course it’ll take more than just fighting her way through that one dungeon.

For me it was less that she left the dungeon and more that she became less and less of a spider.

I can understand why it'd annoy you.
My favourite part is how she keeps her spider habits even while looking human. Isn't there a moment when she sleeps in a cocoon or something and when another reincarnated comes close, she instinctively tries to nab him in?

>This page
NOPE, UH UH. NOT GONNA FALL FOR THIS.

Thinking about it it's not actually that much of a spoiler, but still. Not just Kumo's power, but the strongest non-Administrator on the planet is a spider. Not Kumo, but still a spider.

>not wanting to fug the bug

Are you guys just reading the "Raising the Dead" translations or is someone better doing it yet?

Where do you even read that?

I imagined her being extremely different.

Raising the Dead.
Sorry.

Check out he super secret goddess clubhouse.

Its been a while since I read it, but I didn't hate that she left so much as I hated the direction the story started to take. Moreover I felt it suddenly started to become one of those "The protagonist is unstoppable" type isekai.

Like she recognizes that a few characters are stronger than her, and then very very rapidly evolves past almost all of them. There's also no inbetween stuff. Like in the labyrinth there was "this guy is weaker than me, this dragon could fuck my shit instantly and these dudes are a suitable challenge." outside the labyrinth its "I can kill this person by looking at them. Or this person is basically god." The only exception I can remember is blown past as soon as kumo reaches her apotheosis.

The initial story, the dungeon crawling, the danger, the setbacks, the challenge, the creativity in fights all basically vanish. its just "kumo flicked this enemy and it blew up. She punched this one and it died horribly. She chose not to fight this one because it would be impossible and its not even really an antagonist at the moment."

That's what happens when you can run away. She couldn't do that in the labyrinth.

That's not a spider work, fucking DROPPED

There was a storytime of the first chapter a few weeks ago

A few weeks ago I was in the countryside, away from Internet and the light of God.
