Is he wrong about Goku?

yes.
Yes. Funimation's "Superman" Goku is a lot closer to the source material than people realize.
>DB
Goku is a socially retarded kid with a heart of gold. He's always polite and respectful to people(about as much as a social retard can be). Always willing to help others. Honorable warrior. Loves his grandpa. Dont fuck with his friends or he will kill you.
>DBZ
Goku is a family man. Cares about his wife, son, and friends. Loves to train in his free time but is mainly motivated to fight to protect the people close to him. Always spares his enemies and even chastises Vegeta for finishing people when they're already down(Vegeta barks at him back and says he will never be a Super Saiyan if he stays too "soft").
>Android and Cell Sagas
SSJ knocked a couple screws loose because SSJs are supposed to be battle thirsty beings. He's more hungry for battle but never lets his thirst come between his morals. He gets mad when Cell and the Androids attack innocent civillians. He chooses to end his fight with Cell instead of prolonging it like Vegeta would so Gohan could finally defeat him.
>Buu Saga
Wise sage. Goku has literally ascended to a higher plane of existence. He's still concerned about the state of the mortal world but he doesn't have much of a connection to the danger because he's already dead. He wants Gohan, Vegeta, and the rest of the Z Fighters to be able to handle themselves because he knows wont always be able to save them.
No, he's the creator
Goku is the Luke Skywalker of anime. His character has been completely butchered in a sequel that came decades after solely for moneymaking purposes.
I hate TLJ too but why do people have a problem with Luke? TFA explicitly says he lost faith in everything and went into exile because his nephew killed his students.
What these guys said
that's a really unnapealing photo.
>Saiyan Saga: Lets Vegeta escape due to his fighting thirst
>Freeza Saga: Prolongs his battle with Freeza due to his fighting thirst, spares Freeza despite all what he did, almost ends up dying recklessly
>Android/Cell Saga: For some reason tries to fight #19 even with his heart disease, gives him more energy recklessly. Doesn't care to teleport Android 18 out of the island even though he should be aware Cell is after her, puts Gohan in danger and regrets it shortly after. It's thanks to #16 Gohan manages to revert the situation. Sacrifices himself which is a lovely moment, but wouldn't be required if he was more logical.
>Buu Saga:
Doesn't turn SSJ3 against Majin Vegeta to end it immediately. "Plays" with Fat Buu even though he claims he could end him. Doesn't want to fuse against Kid Buu again because 1v1 pride, despite everything that's at stake. For some reason it's Vegeta who reminds him of the Genki Dama.
Where's your wise Goku again?
>Saiyan Saga: Lets Vegeta escape due to his fighting thirst
He's an honorable warrior and acknowledge Vegeta as a warrior too.
> Prolongs his battle with Freeza due to his fighting thirst
That and he explicitly stated he wanted Frieza to suffer because of what he did to Krillin.
>spares Freeza despite all what he did
Again, Goku didn't believe in finishing off his enemies while they're down.
>For some reason tries to fight #19 even with his heart disease
He sated he forgot to take the medicine because he never got sick.
>Doesn't care to teleport Android 18 out of the island even though he should be aware Cell is after her
He only came for Piccolo and Tien. He can't sense 18 and wasn't going to risk a fight with Cell.
>puts Gohan in danger and regrets it shortly after. It's thanks to #16 Gohan manages to revert the situation. Sacrifices himself which is a lovely moment, but wouldn't be required if he was more logical.
He believed Gohan was going to take out Cell but found out shortly after that Gohan isn't a fighter. In the end, his initial prediction was right. Gohan literally was the only one who could defeat Cell.
>Doesn't turn SSJ3 against Majin Vegeta to end it immediately
Didn't want to hurt Vegeta's pride.
>"Plays" with Fat Buu even though he claims he could end him.
He states he wants the kids to take out Buu because they need to be the ones to defend Earth.
>Doesn't want to fuse against Kid Buu again because 1v1 pride, despite everything that's at stake.
Goku states he could beat Kid Buu as a SSJ3 but wanted Vegeta a chance to fight him. A fusion wasn't necessary and Vegeta wasn't going to do it regardless.
>For some reason it's Vegeta who reminds him of the Genki Dama.
Literally has never worked for him and Vegeta came up with the plan to use all of Earth's energy for it.
Why do the kids need to be the ones to defend the Earth? In the end they weren't anyway, and they haven't learned any responsibility lesson out of this either. Weird decision.
Is he a nu-male?
Vegeta was there to KILL EVERYONE on the whole planet. There is nothing honorable about that, in fact letting him go after his friends fucking died fighting green beans and bald idiot is less than honorable.
Freeza stuff, I think is right, he wanted to make sure Freeza would pay for what he did, except oops he fucking let him go after killing countless namekians and destroying their WHOLE PLANET.
Goku isn't wise or smart, he only cares about fighting and isn't even there to raise his own kids. Gohan got raised by a green slug for fucks sake.
Because who else will defend Earth? Vegeta was dead and Goku thought Gohan was too. If Goten and Trunks can’t even defeat Buu, they would be blasted away when Beerus comes looking for the SSG.
Heroes not murdering their enemies to have the moral high ground is a staple of fiction. There is a reason why Batman doesn’t kill the Joker. There is nothing honorable about kicking someone when they’re down.
Gohan spent 1 year with Piccolo and that was when Goku died saving his life. You watch too much TFS.
>He's an honorable warrior and acknowledge Vegeta as a warrior too.
It always amuses when DBS apologists go for the "he let Vegeta go because he want to fight" excuse completely ignoring him letting Raditz go because when he was pleading for his life not because he wanted to fight him but because he didn't want to take a life, the same thing happens after he beats Nappa and the Ginyu force.
>Why do the kids need to be the ones to defend the Earth?
>He said about the battle manga which Kid Goku saved the planet various times
HAHAHAHAHAHA
>Amerideluded thread
Read the manga, weeb.

And aloleeeveah to you faggots.
He sure knows his child.
Um, Goku was on Earth and said he could finish Buu if he wanted? They weren't any help against Beerus anyway, Oolong stalled him for more than Gotenks.
Kid Goku was a hard worker. Goten and Trunks were taught a lazy way to get stronger (Fusion) without getting any lesson about their arrogance. Up to this day, they expect Gotenks to solve every problem and fail miserably.
Enjoy DBZA tier Goku user
>Um, Goku was on Earth and said he could finish Buu if he wanted? They weren't any help against Beerus anyway, Oolong stalled him for more than Gotenks.
Yeah but Goku knew that was the last day he could come back. If the kids don’t yet strong enough to defeat Buu, they won’t be able to face the next threat that comes along. Beerus shows up and destroys the planet.
Pretty much, he ruined and fucked over a lot of things in DBS, lucky for him DB toddlers will love pretty much anything with the DB logo on it. Read/watch OPM instead way better than even the original DB.
