Shido and some other enact a coup and take over Killing Bites, Hitomi is ordered to kill the Nomoto (the MC) by Shido and does so unceremoniously right as he's manned up as is having a heart to heart with her, that ends chapter 30, chapter 31 then skips 2 years in the future when Killing Bites has gone public and become huge, Nomoto mysteriously reappears from the dead hellbent on vengeance against Shido and saving Hitomi from his influence and starts training a team of therianthropes and enacting whatever plans he's made.

It been confirmed that the the Gene Therapy only works on those who's compatible for it (hence Oshie's a dud in the latest short); even then, that same gene determines what you'll become. So an army of brute is impossible because of the limitation of said therapy.
The author made it so that it's contained to said island since the hybridization is too great for global politics (which is something I believe that the Author don't want to address in his Shonen series of comics).

I'm not saying that people should like her or agree with her perspective, but at least her behavior is understandable.
She seems so obsessed with getting back her gramps' good personality that she might see and treat her opponents as obstacles (especially Shidou and Hitomi, and by extension her player, Nomoto), despite doing so in a politically correct manner (like attempting to convince Nomoto to not enter the Destroyal, instead of trying to sabotage his team by killing him or Hitomi, or intimidating hybrids so that they won't join his team), and is willing to risk herself by attempting to control Kido.

Look, it wouldn't be the first time that a male protagonist tries to rescue a female villain from herself by defeating her boss. Whether she survives the entire thing is a different matter. We know there is a long history of female villains falling in love and getting killed after a change of heart. But hopefully Ratel being the postergirl would save her in the long run.
